      I feel the same. I get random jolts/twitches in my legs/arms/fingers ESPECIALLy at night, its pretty minor but it's there and really keep me awake, I googled it and they start saying horrific things..which I think is adding to my anxiety and just worsening it even more. I did have a horrible sleeping schedule for past 3 months cause quarintine so I'm trying to fix it now (hoping it's reason i am getting these)

    If someone has twitches due to stress and anxiety then don't freak just ignore them. Tell your brain it's harmless again and again, breathe in and breathe out, move your body and engage yourself in some activity. I know it's easier said than done but these are the things that helped me. Hope it helps someone 🙏🙏

    Main cause of Twiching
    1) Excessive mastrubation causes muscle twitching
    2) not sleeping well.
    3) sitting one place more time.
    4) not going to the sun 🌞.
    5) using more mobile & Computer.
    6) not taking good diet .
    7) negative thoughts in mind .

However, I take daily vitamins everyday, do not drink caffeine, get about 8 hours a sleep a day, do not drink alcohol, and I am not stressed, nor taking any medications that are listed in this video. You can, to an extent. If you're eating a well rounded healthy diet ideally you'd have enough. But, this is also why we supplement, to provide specific nutrients above dietary levels to cause a specific effect in the body. Vitamin D, calcium, B6, B12 and magnesium are the most important nutrients for preventing muscle twitches.

    In my 20s I would drink tons of caffein and alcohol and do drugs and stay up all night and get dehydrated and take on lots of stress and I never had a single muscle twitch or uncomfortable muscle symptom. Then at age 30 I got some kind of neuropathy and suddenly have the twitches all the time after completely getting rid of all those other factors.

    All my muscles in my body took turns of being sore. One day my calf’s, next thighs, next upper buttocks, arms. Now my muscles twitch throughout the day. I of course Googled my symptoms and diagnosed myself with MS/ALS/Lyme Disease as they all correlate. I was already dealing with a lot of stress and anxiety and this really put me over the edge. I am now taking anxiety medication. It’s been awful.

    What about magnesium or iron

    • @naturalathleteclinic
      @naturalathleteclinic  4 года назад +1

      Magnesium is more associated with cramping, which is a different situation than twitches. Iron is definitely associated with restless legs syndrome, which is also different.

    What about a multivitamin instead of those individual ones you mentioned?

    • @naturalathleteclinic
      @naturalathleteclinic  4 года назад

      Great question! You could try a multivitamin and it might contain enough of these nutrients to help. However, in some instances depending on the ingredients of the multi and a person's individual constitution, etc it may not be enough. For example, most multi's have maybe 200-400 IU vitamin D. That more than likely won't have enough of an effect on the twitching in most people, hence the suggestion for more Vit D in the range of several thousand IU's per day.
