      I feel the same. I get random jolts/twitches in my legs/arms/fingers ESPECIALLy at night, its pretty minor but it's there and really keep me awake, I googled it and they start saying horrific things..which I think is adding to my anxiety and just worsening it even more. I did have a horrible sleeping schedule for past 3 months cause quarintine so I'm trying to fix it now (hoping it's reason i am getting these)

    If someone has twitches due to stress and anxiety then don't freak just ignore them. Tell your brain it's harmless again and again, breathe in and breathe out, move your body and engage yourself in some activity. I know it's easier said than done but these are the things that helped me. Hope it helps someone 🙏🙏

    In my 20s I would drink tons of caffein and alcohol and do drugs and stay up all night and get dehydrated and take on lots of stress and I never had a single muscle twitch or uncomfortable muscle symptom. Then at age 30 I got some kind of neuropathy and suddenly have the twitches all the time after completely getting rid of all those other factors.

Don’t drink a lot of caffeine, sleep fairly well. The finger is most recent, any idea why they would move to one body part over the other?

    Hello. You mentioned in your video that oral estrogens can cause muscle twitches, but I can't find any support for that (I also saw the same thing in a healthline article as well so you are not the only one). All I know is that after three weeks for taking the oral estrogen, I started getting a sporadic muscle twitch in my thumb. I have no other symptoms so believe this is the cause. Any thoughts or any other information on this? Thank you!

    • @naturalathleteclinic
      @naturalathleteclinic  7 месяцев назад

      There are many sources that link oral estrogens and muscle twitches. That being said, twitching in the thumb is very common. I'd suggest waiting a bit and seeing if the twitching resolves...if not, then you can possibly associate it with the estrogen since that's the only thing that's changed for you.

    • @wncox1
      @wncox1 7 месяцев назад

      @@naturalathleteclinic Thank you so much! It's been over two weeks now of intermittent muscle twitching to the lower part of the thumb, mainly at night, so I think I will look into the estrogen piece. Also, thank you for the great video! I need to find a clinic like yours here in Texas!

      An EKG won't tell you why you're having twitches. If they're persisting then go back to your doctor - better to take action than continually worrying.

    I've only started getting these twitches recently and they came out of nowhere. I felt I had a magnesium deficiency because I was also cramping up and getting headaches. The headaches were short lived though and my cramps are all but gone now but I'm still twitching here and there so I have a question doc. I know I don't get enough sleep so i'll be trying to change my sleeping pattern but are Vitamin D gummies good for this as well or would your prefer the pill or is there not really a difference? Also how long do you think it would take for twitches to subside when following your suggestions, I'm guessing weeks to months?

    • @naturalathleteclinic
      @naturalathleteclinic  3 года назад +2

      A vitamin D capsule it probably going to be higher quality than a gummy. And tough to say, it seems in most people I've seen twitches can last for a few weeks. If they don't subside then speak with your doctor.

      Caffeine can stick around in your system for several hours...some say up to 5 hours. But in general, caffeine consumption is going to cause twitches if you're susceptible in that way.

    All my muscles in my body took turns of being sore. One day my calf’s, next thighs, next upper buttocks, arms. Now my muscles twitch throughout the day.
