She was slaying the live parts... it's really amazing the way she is regaining so much of her vocal ability. She has been slaying E5s all over the Asian leg of her tour. She's been singing "My All" entirely live in Japan and she's executing the original runs that we haven't heard in ages. I never thought I would see her attain her old confidence on stage that she lost since motherhood.

Firstly you can hear more bass in the voice during the playback parts (and let's be realistic she's not that pitch perfect, and she certainly didn't hit a resonant F5 when she rasps around a Bb4). My All wasn't live either, the first lines of each chorus are still lipped (though I don't see why she couldn't just do them.
