Mariah said she doesn't like the arrangement that the producers had her change from the demo that she brought to them. She said she hates the song and sings it as less as possible, but in my opinion, I feel one of her best songs.
Hi simply love this era of Mariah Carey. Debuted when I was a freshman in HS, my friends and I would take random drives to play the entire album and sing along. Her voice and emotions in each song were all singable and so relatable. Vanishing quickly became my favorite! Recommend Highly! Any song off this debut album mid worth reacting to. It’s sad because along the way I believe she became very overproduced and nothing ever reached me as this first album did., where she came across so natural and her beauty and in her voice and in her presence. I know after this album many greater producers and executive speak came so interested in her. I believe the pressure of her to be the next great superstar led to many of her emotional problems and ultimate breakdown. During the years after this first album I feel bad but I lost interest and Mariah Carey and I didn’t respect what she was doing anymore, but I always sympathized with her and felt really bad for her as a person with her breakdown, which I don’t believe was her fault. And ever since she came back I’ve often watched her perform and seen her forget the words to songs and look extremely uncomfortable. She was an amazing amazing talent and her voice will never be replaced.
