    I was looking for someone to do this with grey outgrowth!! I already bought it so I think I'll try it, but you've given me a realistic outlook on what to expect. Thank you!

      I've been looking for the same thing. Glad I ran across this video.

    The thing is, when you color your hair, some color is taken out first (that's the action of the peroxide) and then the dye is deposited (usually the second bottle that you add to the first bottle). When pigment is removed from your hair, you'll almost always have red, yellow or orange left because those are underlying pigments. So you can't go back to your "original" color with Color Oops. It did lighten, so it took some of the dye pigment out.

      That is exactly what happened to me. I had years of dark brown dyed hair. Used color oops on it and it came out the color on the color oops box, orange. The foul smell is from sulfur in the product.

    It’s good to know it won’t effect the silver roots.

    I love this generation. It's so "mom" and I love it. How you begin the video with "okay!" Haha ❤ it reminds me of my mom. I just know you guys listened to Cindy Lauper as a teenager.

    Thank you for doing exactly what I have been wanting to do for a month. Since it appears to have lightened your hair then that was a success. Also I love your video you are hilarious ❤️

    Oh my goodness! I wish I had seen this before I spent 40 min under the shower tonight! My hair (roots as well as the rest) is almost identical to yours before you applied the Color Oops. I wanted to go fully natural and let my gray flag fly! Now I’m blonde!😳

      Diana Trammell I’m so sorry! I was super disappointed, but with patience, I got to where I wanted to be. You will too!

    Thanks for going for going all in on the experiment and posting! Exactly what I was going to try to get the box brown out of my greys. You saved me from the stink!! 😊 Guess I'll wait for it to grow.

      To be fair stinks while you’re applying and let it rest , my experience after washing throughly for more than 20 minutes is gone , a lot of people said on reviews their heads still smells after a week, not my case😊

    Instead of chopping off the damaged hair like I did, have it professionally colored silver to blend with your roots.

    • @ddebsie1
      @ddebsie1  3 года назад +2

      Yes, that's exactly what I ended up doing! :)

  • @aliciarenouf3095

    It wouldn't work for you because your hair was already ata light orange tint. And that's basically what color oops does. For example, I had been dying my hair black for 12 years and it was almost to my butt, I chopped it and used color oops to remove the black color. I had to use it 3 separate times but all the black is gone and left with a orange color. Now it's on to the next color. Because it's expected that a coloring will follow, even says so. But not required if you like the orange color.

    It turned my hair red too, lol. I wanted to get rid of red brown hair dye that just would not leave and nope, made it bright light red, even worse and now my hair and house smell horrible. I'm trying to wait at least 12 hours to re-dye my hour but I don't know if I can, I am sure not going out in public like this!

    Aaww man. I was thinking of doing the same out of curiosity to see if my hair would be white where it was once white. I guess that's a no then.

    I've just been using purple shampoo and conditioner once /twice a week its making my silvers brighter and appears to be making the colour on the ends a little lighter also ://

    For best results put a toner now and it will take more orange tones out.

    It doesn’t work on natural gray hairs. It only removes artificial colors that’s why it didn’t work

    • @ddebsie1
      @ddebsie1  10 месяцев назад

      I was on my way to gray, that's why I was using it; to remove the artificial color that was covering it.
