  • Daily routines are a big part of an Ayurvedic lifestyle, especially if you are working on vata - the dosha that perhaps needs the most stability! Here are 5 tips that will help you create an easy, customizable, vata balancing routine. We’ll cover self-care practices, exercise, yoga, and more.
    These tips are not meant as a strict set of rules, but rather as a helpful guideline for creating a sense of structure that can be easily implemented into your vata lifestyle. We’ll walk you through how you can start small by committing to a regular time of day to work out, go to bed, and eat each meal.
    Whether you have a vata body type or you’re experiencing a vata imbalance, a daily routine that focuses on counteracting vata’s natural tendency towards dryness and flightiness can be a huge help. You may even notice clearer skin and a better sense of focus as you begin to follow these tips!
    Tips begin at 03:28.
    Vata also benefits from following a diet of grounding Ayurvedic foods and warming spices. Watch our video on vata diet tips to learn more.

    Recovering from a lifetime of exhaustion that lead to anxiety took me a lot of effort,self awareness and self control. As a tridoshic type dominating in Kapha,it is really important slowing down and to nap a lot,watching my thoughts as i go. Vata dominates my energies and i drink a lot to heal the drryness leading to nervousness and Pitta excess,all from overly high stimulation. TOday,i began waking up and moving out of bed around Kapha time,and i feel a real difference already,in how it lets me calm down,taking it easy.

    For many years I was told I had a pita dominant constitution by some people but only today I realised it is my vata that is imbalanced. I have most of the symptoms, it has been eye opening to read about it and watch. I am trying to establish a routine now and follow a diet that's appropriate but I have also recently begun strength training as part of an exercise routine. I felt it was my body's need as I have never had any consistent physical exercise in my 38 years before. I tried yoga but intuitively felt my body needed more, so I'm just going with a personalised physical training programme now. I will follow the oil massage as well, thank you.

    The root of vata balancing lies in sleeping well in the night, as awakening in the night and sleeping in the day causes vata vitiation...
    2. Eating more dry foods are also a prime cause...
    3. Exposing oneself to air eg. AC for a very long time that too getting habituated...
    4. Getting stressed out is also an other cause - remedy is yoga and pranayama.

    very inspirational video and great tips thanks! one can really see her shine, makes one more convinced about ayurveda :)
    my favourite balancing routine are two yoga sessions after a cool shower, one straight in the morning and the other between 4-5pm. It really works wonders. I definetly recommend the "Shambhavi Mahamudra Kriya" from Sadhguru, if one is interested in learning powerful practices. It makes a huge difference from whom you learn and how you do them, so if it doesnt seem to do anything for you dont give up too soon and look for vibrant teachers who could sit all day and be blissfull, they have to do smt right in my opinion :)
    my other routine is a slow walk after my meals in nature :)

    • @banyanbotanicals
      @banyanbotanicals  Год назад +1

      Thank you for tuning in! You could try doing neti beforehand, or herbal steams, ginger and licorice can help to open the channels. Energetically the nostrils are related to the nadis, so on a deeper level that side is blocked in the energetic channels. In yoga, you can simply lie on the side that you want to open.

    One thing i am still confused about is how often a predominant vata dosha should eat in a day. Is it best to eat smaller, but more frequently (about 5 meals) or should you stick with just breakfast, lunch and dinner?

    • @banyanbotanicals
      @banyanbotanicals  Год назад

      Thank you for tuning in! 🌱💚 This is a wonderful question. The beautiful thing about Ayurveda is that there is not a singular box to fit into. It is ideal to have three substantial vata friendly meals, however, you also need to listen to the needs of your body, and if you are feeling the need to eat more than 3 meals a day I would lean into that. With Vata one of the biggest things is routine and establishing regularity, so if you were to do more meals you still want to try and be consistent and eat around the same times each day. CAC Vata balance tablet is a rejuvenating blend of herbs is specially formulated to balance Vata doshas without aggravating Pitta or Kapha doshas. It may be used to support overall health and well-being by Vata constitutions with or without food. For those with a dual constitution that includes Vata or a tridoshic constitution, it is an excellent formula for the Vata season, which in most parts of the world is autumn and early winter.

      Running can aggravate Vata, but as long as it is balanced by grounding activity - like a post-run stretch it can still serve you. If you love to run - keep doing it! Any physical activity that you enjoy is always beneficial.
