you went to most the places i went to this winter, i cant ever go to Colorado without visiting Leadville. however, even though i went to all these places... i went via roads and the million dollar highway in the winter was... yeah an experience lol.
I've watched literally 100's of overland/jeep trail videos on RUclips and I have to say that yours was by far the most impressive I've seen to date. I've been on a number of the trails in your video but saw them from a completely different viewpoint through your drone shots. VERY impressive job; keep up the great work!
RUclips randomly played this video for me after I was watching some (new) Bronco videos & some other Overlanding stuff and I must say, I’m stunned. The fact that you’ve took the effort during your trip to film all of this is outstanding. Your camera work, editing, music, etc are all excellent. I hope you know that all of your hard work doesn’t go unnoticed! *Thank you!*
Who needs National Geographic? You're a truly gifted cinematographer and storyteller who is taking full advantage of the spectacular scenery. Well done, will watch this again.
In January of 2016 I bought a TRD Pro 4runner with almost no experience off roading. It’s been a great time ever since. I’m a classical musician in the National Symphony. My family and I travel around the country overlanding and enjoying America. We just ordered an off road teardrop from Vintage Trailer Works. Your videos have been a great resource. Very educational. Fantastic content. Inspirational. Maybe some day we’ll meet up on the trail. If we do, I’m the classical trumpet player that’s a Sasquatch enthusiast. Best to you and your family. Happy Thanksgiving
No problem your preaching, people who go into our beautiful state need to respect it and not litter and take care of their 💩, the right way. Love your use of the drone!!!
Your choreography is amazing . . . truly professional ! Lived at one time in Colorado, after discharge from the USAF - Minot AFB, ND. After eight years in Colorado - Denver, Golden, Boulder & Greeley. . . I returned to the Northeast - Boston. Your views pressure me in taking a second look . . . at that Rocky Mountain High ! 🤗🇺🇸
Outstanding video. Keep hammering the idea of recreating responsibly. People shouldn't leave their waste in the woods. There are plenty of products that make it easy to pack out your waste.
My daughter and I got back from CO about 3 weeeks ago. We live in Louisville, KY and she just graduated from highschool, so it was a time to spend together before she starts college. We did Engineer Pass, Imogene Pass, Black Canyon and Pikes Peak. We have a 2000 4Runner w/ 225K miles, and it performed like a champ...been in our family since new. Your videography and drone work really does capture the beauty in a way that photos can't. You really have to see it to understand the scale, but your videos are the next best thing.
Amazing video! The camera work was so good, it almost felt like I was there! Also, kudos to the wife for driving. My wife would never be able to handle even being a passenger getting that close to the edge lol. Thanks again!
I got to visit Colorado this fall, and I fell in love with the mountains, I saw God ever where, THE Bible says if we people don't praise HIM! the rocks would. And they are, ever day shouting GOD YOUR WONDERFUL I LOVE YOU!!!😇
Without a doubt in my opinion your best video yet! Everything was perfect. The drone footage was spectacular along with the music. Brought back alot of memories from our trip through most of those same areas this summer. Def gotta plan a trip back for the fall! My wife could never grasp through pictures what me and my son experienced on our trip until she saw your video footage. Now she wants to start accompanying us on our overland trips.
The music and your videography carries my spirit away, I have watched this too many times and still not enough. The craftsmanship, the timbers and the size of that mine above creed is something I must see.. Thank you for this.
Tremendous footage and editing! I was in Colorado probably around that same time. Late September of 20. Brings back great memories. I was on foot mostly but love the footage of the quaking Aspens! My wife has a 13 trail edition. I'm thinking yours must be similar age and model. Most reliable car we've ever owned. Thanks for the video!
Fantastic trip video. I am used to watching your DIY videos and can now appreciate the usefulness of many of your projects. I have to say your travel videos are well done and worthy of being right there with many of the professional cable shows.
I'm a full time Nomad, and Overlander...and this dude still inspires me lol. Another great video my friend. I really need to go spend about 6 months in Colorado. Maybe I'll do that early next year 👍
We are very glad that you continue to show and share the PLACES you are visiting and have not fallen into the rut other channels have of imitating a cooking channel. Keep adventuring and please keep sharing!
Great stuff. This video just confirms my need to move to Colorado that much more. Drone footage is amazing, glad it made it out of the tree unscathed!!!
You may find that cycling the regulator fixes it your stove problem. You may try this procedure from any condition: Close the tank valve. Open the stove valve (turn the burner on) Close the stove valve (turn the burner off) Open the tank valve Open the stove valve (start the stove.) Regulators have a diaphragm that gets stuck on extra low flow if you open the stove valve before opening the gas valve. This is my interpretation over the years, over several different systems, it seem to work every time. Maybe this helps if it happens again. Thanks for the video!
When it comes to Overland video's yours are the most awe inspiring on RUclips and I can watch them 100 times over. They truly are works of art! I'm waiting for the 2022 Tacoma's to hit the dealerships in November and hope to have it ready by the end of 2022 for a 2 month National Park excursion. If all goes well I'm hoping to end my vacation in the aspen's of Colorado. Keep putting out your incredible content! Thanks
I know this is an older video, but get yourself a roll of .032 stainless safety wire and a pair of safety wire pliers for your tool kit. You can use that stuff for missing bolts, hose clamps, or even safety a nut or two in place! Handy stuff
Great video man. Those little classic stoves are great and will serve you well. what I will say is that the regulators go bad/get clogged with all the driving that we do and dust that gets in them. Also in lower temperatures I've had the propane in the line freeze and had to wait till thaw.
0:49 Propane pressure regulators have an over pressure safety (LOW FLOW) mode they get "tripped" into if you try and open the gas too quickly, especially if the stove burner valve is already open before you open the main tank valve. You can easily reset the regulator valve back to normal by shutting off all the valves, SLOWLY opening the main tank valve, and then open the burner valve to light it.
Thanks, I’ll give that a go! The weird thing is that it worked just fine for 5 minutes or so, but wouldn’t work after that. I may have had the burner on too high.
I will always feel like this place is home. I've been on many of those roads or many very similar. Such memories and great choice of sound track, great video footage too. That's a lot of work. As evidenced by the drone crash lol
Dont know why it took so long to come across your video but glad I got the chance to see it, your drone work(offers a completely different perspective from the seat of my motorcycle) is impeccable, music editing ... very well done. I love my trips to Colorado, been to some of the areas that you showed but now I see there are more to explore, Thanks
This video is the most stunning footage I've ever seen of Colorado!!! I live here and never seen it the way you published it!!!! This is an amazing channel, I was on the edge of my seat wanting more. I'm hooked on your channel!!! Simply amazing!!!!!
Great video and cool adventure. I love your low-key way of taking everyone along for the ride. Great video work too, by the way. Very pleasureable to watch.
Great job with the cinematography! You were able to capture some really wonderful shots. Kudos to your wife for the awesome driving as well. Dont forget that migraine medicine next time.
This is one of your best videos( and I’ve seen quite a few from yours and others) I think it’s a combination of your drone work and music and of course your tripod as well. While others do the same repeated trails along with tedious food munching nonsense, you do trails I’ve never seen and enjoy immensely. I’d also like to mention your historical context to viewing some of the formations is appreciated.
Just rewatched this video again. Just breathtaking! Your choice of music complements your superb drone footage and editing (not just this one, but on all your videos). Professionally well made. Throughly enjoyed. Thank you for sharing!
Colorado has such incredibly beautiful landscape, and you've captured it so well! My wife and I have done overlanding in UT, but she gets tired of all the "brown" as she calls it. Pretty sure she will love exploring CO! Several of those trails were a bit too technical for our rig and my experience, but I definitely have marked a few as "must do." Thank you!
Black Bear Pass is a different kind of beauty. It's beautiful, and it's terrifying in parts, but overall it's a MUST-DO trail. Use a spotter on the really tight switchbacks and you'll be fine.
Beautiful footage. Can only agree the colors of fall just rocks. And god the suspense on the new heater. Just tell us already 😂 Keep it up and stay safe 👍
Lol! It's the Propex HS2211 if you want to look it up. It's a LOT more expensive than the cheap diesel heaters, but about the same price as a Webasto diesel heater.
Thanks for your encredible good video from your travel through Colorado in the authumn, no doubt about that you make the best and most serious travelvideos. I think that some parts of Colorado can be like some mountain areas in Norway. I have to lay much in the bed and your travelvideos is just like I'm traveling myself. Thanks again from Norway. Best Regards from Arne
This vlog has really got to be my favorite. I made the trek in 1986 from Cripple Creek to Canon City in a 73 Toyota Corona. Great video edits and very entertaining to say the least. Sage travels and I would fear Bear Mtn pass too. You gained a new sub. The 2 HR overland movie is great too. Safe travels.
I've had issues with those adaptor lines too, they have a ball in there or some kinda valve that's is a real pita to get working sometimes. Smashing it on a rock a few times salved it till I replaced it with a better line. Love seeing the video of places I've been and planning on going, I miss Colorado.

I can't sit through most overland videos on RUclips, but I'm hooked for every minute of yours. Keep up the great work.
Thank you! Glad you like them!
100 percent. Love how the scenery does the talking :)
Love the footage angles and the background music is very pleasant.. thank you and blessings!
Incredible drone footage, very cinematic, and an excellent choice in musical score
No problem your preaching, people who go into our beautiful state need to respect it and not litter and take care of their 💩, the right way.
Love your use of the drone!!!
Really well done. Music is calming. Dialogue keeps one wanting to keep watching. Keep on doing what you are doing
Wow. I can't believe I've never seen this channel until recently. This was movie quality. I've never gone out before but I have to. It's calling me.
This is some of the best drone videography I have seen in an overlanding video, right up there with XO in the Andes. Great job!
Your drone shots are amazing mate. I had to get up from the couch and write you this comment. Well done!
I think you shot the most beautiful overland video

Colorado, awesome State and state of mind!
Great cinematography!
Finally snow free😄😄😄Lucky guy we had some years when there was the first snow on Aust 18th!!! Summer in this years was short= the first Monday in July

That regulator had been used maybe twice, so I'm a little annoyed that it went bad. I did want an excuse to get a new stove though!

Very well done! You are getting better at this - editing/music excellent. Of course the scenery is awesome too. - Kevin (LC 100 owner)
Your music selection is great. Love all of them.

Glad you like them!
Awesome video and commentary. Super helpful as we plan our first overlanding trip to Colorado. Thanks!
