And Can we request saatchi to print on demand for us ... And we have uploaded the artwork but the print isnt available will the customer still be able to buy it
If you select print-on-demand, then Saatchi will do the printing, framing, shipping, etc as selected by the customer. If you are selling the original or your own prints that you have, then you have to do all of that for the customer. They will provide the address and arrange for pickup from you. @@BrianSloanArtist Hi to both @BrianSloanArtist and @Dragonarts12, its a bit late since this video published, but, I discovered this just today and I need an urgent reply, so any of you can help me please. I opted for print-on-demand option and skipped 'Price & Details' page that let me do my shipping work. Now there are two tabs besides the image, Original and Prints. The original tab says 'This artwork is not for sale.' but in prints section it is showing 'Open Edition Prints Available'. Is this a normal behavior or am i missing something?
@@BrianSloanArtist Thanks. I Wish I could remove the 'original' tab that says 'This artwork is not for sale', that line is confusing to someone outside of saatchi.
Hi Brian! Thanks a lot for the video! I live in Canada; painting is just my hobby, not a business. Can I still sell my art through Saatchi and get paid?
If you click on the "Account Information" option in the drop-down menu when you hover over your name, you will be taken to a page where on the right-hand side you will see an option of choosing Centimetres or Inches.
Hi can you please tell me I’m new and I’m going to the saaatchi art for sell ,1)my question is how money will come how customer will send ?2)customer will texts you personally or it will give order on saatchi ?
Great video but the website does not present itself like that anymore. Also you do not mention the required pixels resolution needed to post artwork. I am trying to sell prints only since my art is digital, but Saatchi does not allow me to provide a larger size option. Therefore the price is only for a small print only. How can I change that?
I didn't realize how much it has changed! I will need to make a new video for it! If they are only offering you the small print size, that would mean your resolution isn't large enough for bigger prints. You will need a higher resolution file uploaded to offer larger prints!
When you login, click on the gear icon in the top right. This will take you to a new page where you should see the option of "Sales Dashboard being second option in from the left. On that page in the top right there should be an "Access Payouts" button. This will take you to the Hyperwallet page. You will create an account (login with your Saatchi account) there as well and can add your payment info there. This link might just work for you as well: saatchiart.hyperwallet.com/ If you are logged into Saatchi already then linking it to you account should be easy enough. Let me know if that helps.
There is no 'Access Payouts' section. When I try to sign in to the Hyperwallet link, it says the information entered does not match our records. I don't know why. Maybe first my paintings should be sold, and then I can add my bank account information.
I was checking this out and one of my concerns about uploading images of my artworks is how someone can easily download it. I went to your saatchi site and found that your painting of the bears is 1280x952. I suppose you can't put watermarks on them?
If you want to do the print-on-demand function, you can't put watermarks on them. A file size of 1280x952 would allow for smaller size prints but definitely not medium to large prints of good quality. I get the worry about someone else downloading it for sure. Some other websites add watermarks to the images displayed on their websites so artists don't have to worry as much.
@BrianSloanArtist with all the AI stuff now, it concerns me someone taking an image of mine and using it. I have an account at fineartamerica and you have the choice to add their watermark on it or not. I'll have to weigh the pros and cons with saachi like everything else I guess.
Hmm.... That is weird. I double checked and they are listed in my "Curator Notes". But even when I look at other people's profiles, I don't see any social icons anywhere. I'll see what I can figure out. Thanks for the follow though!
Hello Brian.. firstly thank you for this video..I am new..I did not sign yet because of my english not so well.. but try to understand about cargo procedure.. After I packed my art, do I choose the cargo firm to take it or Saatchi Art decide to which cargo firm comes to my adress to take my art?.. Hello! Thank you for watching. I will answer your two questions. 1. Saatchi will choose the cargo firm that will come and pick it up from your address. 2. You can choose if your art is sold as a print or not. If you sell as a print, they will print and ship it. You do not need to make a print. I hope this helps.
@@BrianSloanArtist we just have to set the size of the prints available of our artwork right? We'll simply get the payment of our print if it's purchased by someone.
Hello Brian, thanks for your reply. Let me rephrase my question: In this video at 24:31, you show the price for a fine art 8 x12 for $41.00. The profit is what Satchii pays back to you, right? $15.48 is too low. Even if they have applied a 20% discount on your fine art and on top of that 35% Satchii fees. The same with the canvas print price at $130.00, profit $34.58. The profit is way low. How did Satchii come out with such a low-profit amount? It didn't even look that they pay for the shipping. Did you have to pay taxes of any kind? I don't think so. Question: how did Satchii come out to such a low profit? and did they pay for the shipping?
Sorry for misunderstanding the first time! I think I get it now. The 35% Saatchi fee is in relation to originals that you sell. When dealing with prints, it's a different story. They have a base price for each kind and size of print, then you set your profits above and beyond that on that page in the video that you referred to. You can see the base price (or minimum price) of each print on this page: support.saatchiart.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005080547-Saatchi-Art-Prints

I think you need a lot more art up and need to be active. It's just a platform, a storefront, it's not a magic bullet. The people I see selling well have 200 or more paintings up, add new art on a regular basis over a year and have at least some social media presence. When I see artists with 20 paintings or less anywhere I don't think to myself that they are a full time artist, or want to be, but that it's an aside. I think the folks that commit and stay focused do better, as long as their art touches a nerve with enough people.
Well said CJ. It takes time to build a solid base to go off of. I definitely don't put enough effort into selling on many websites. My priorities at the moment are in different places. I appreciate your comment!
I disagree. I am a full time artist with less than 20 images on Saatchi. I do intend to add more, but with few views and zero followers, I find it pretty discouraging. That's why I am here, trying to figure out what I can do better. But fewer artworks on Saatchi does not mean the artist is not full time.
