    Thank you Brian. I posted some things on another one of your videos and just now came across this. I did set up a store there recently but only spent a few days doing it. Now I realize they have no customer reviews. So I'm going to move onto another, possibly FAA. Many blessings! 🙂

    Brian, Thank you so much for the valuable information. I was wondering if I should join Artpal and now I know not to. I have just visited your site on FAA and see you work, beautiful work. Thank you for being so sincere and honest about your experience. You have helped a lot of fellow artist like me to avoid sites that will waste my time and effort. Thank you again. Luna

    I was considering ArtPal over FAA to start selling prints on demand of my photography because another video I watched said that FAA listings don't show up in Google searches. Now after seeing your video, I'm reconsidering FAA again anyway because I know with other platforms, you basically have to do all the work of promoting your products and that wouldn't be any different with FAA. I'd rather take a chance with FAA starting out since you said you had more success with them.

    • @BrianSloanArtist
      @BrianSloanArtist  Год назад +2

      I still haven't sold anything on ArtPal. It has been a while as well for FAA but between the two, I have gotten more organically from FAA.

    I think artpal is deff an niche market for artists wanting to give certain customers a style of art that isn't maintstream or cookie cutter like. My buddy is on there selling his prints and sells about 4 every 3 weeks or so? but hes crazy good with A.I and digital art designs and are unique and his own original design.. So im guessing it depends on the artist and their style that caters to what people look for artistically speaking. other markets are also great for other artists. it really really depends.

      I know they make money off promotions when artists pay to have their work on the homepage. Then they would also make some off the Print-On-Demand stuff. It all seems a little fishy to me..haha.

    So, if Artpal is not the place, then what is? I have all of my 500+ photos on ArtPal without my Watermark. First, I wasn't happy that they wouldn't allow me to add my Watermark. But, having said that, it looks like the industry is going in that direction where companies don't want your Watermark on your art. Weird. But, the drawback I have with ArtPal is they have a section where you can sell/post a Digital File to sell. But, once the customer buys the digital file, Artpal will not add or send a link for the customer to download the file. I contacted ArtPal and made the suggestion that I would mind paying a percentage for that service. So, if ArtPal is not the place, where's the best place?

    • @BrianSloanArtist
      @BrianSloanArtist  5 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks for your patience.
      I'm not sure what the place is! I can say that having your own website is a big step in the right direction. People being able to search your name and find a dedicated website is a big thing in my opinion.
      Etsy has been decent for me and has an option to download digital files. And it actually works to download the file.

    Thanks for the advice - might be best to take down your first video (Although I agree with you art pal is easy to set up). What pod site has sold the most for you?

    • @BrianSloanArtist
      @BrianSloanArtist  2 года назад +1

      I am going to look at just editing the end of the other one to be congruent with this one!
      I don't put a lot of effort into pod sites. But up to this point, Redbubble has been the most profitable. I was recently introduced to Teemill which seems to be a promising one. Have just been on it a month though and still working on setting up shop.

  • @RDM-346
    @RDM-346 Год назад +1

    Thanks for that I am on FAA, and average 1 or 2 PODs a month. Have sold a good many originals through them.Better than nothing, But I think it is hard to get views because they add 1000 artists a month., which makes it hard for people to find you. You are lucky to sell any art in this economy.

    • @BrianSloanArtist
      @BrianSloanArtist  Год назад

      Definitely better than nothing. It is tough to break out on any of these sites I find. Too many fish in the sea. I have had the most success on Etsy and just locally at markets, etc.

    I am on FAA. I like the communication and groups on there. It gives artists a feeling they are among artists. Meanwhile, there are so many platforms, and it is very confusing. I talked to a few successful artists at an art show and they told me their main income comes from their own website and social media linked to other platforms where they display their art.

    • @BrianSloanArtist
      @BrianSloanArtist  6 месяцев назад

      The groups are nice on FAA for sure. There are so many different platforms out there. I do agree though, my personal website and social media are often more successful than many of the platforms I'm apart of.

      @@BrianSloanArtist can I ask you where you get your website? I have no clue about doing that and its so confusing to me. I'm an artist also and I have been on FFA for 14 years but I don't make any big sales. I make probably 5 sales a year lol. I use to do fantastic on FB with commissioned pieces and have sold originals there but since Meta came along with the algorithms its extremely hard to get noticed anymore and FB has been slowly dying. I've tried twitter, IG (which I hated), pinterest and Mastodon with no success. Mastodon will bring in LOTS of view counts if you post a FFA link to an image but its mostly bots. I've thought of getting a personal website BUT not sure if its worth paying for one since I've tried all the other ways to drive people to my art. Oh and I agree about artpal. I also tried etsy but its saturated with mostly junk now.

    • @BrianSloanArtist
      @BrianSloanArtist  2 года назад +2

      I believe they make most of their profits from the print-on-demand side of things. You make a little profit, but I'm assuming their profit is included in their base price. Then they also have the promotions fees if you want your artwork listed at the top of the searches.
