    My mom always cleaned our refrigerator once a week and then wiped it down with a dab of vanilla extract. We had the best smelling refrigerator. I use orange extract or peppermint, my family seems to love it better. Just a fun share. Love your videos ♥️👏🏻🤠

    Hello CMS!
    I hesitated about purchasing these clothes for probably a year. I saw the black Friday sale and thought hmm I might as well finally try them!
    I wanted to use the microfiber clothes for a while to give an honest review. I wanted to try most of the cloths so I purchased a small space kit, an auto kit and a pack of waffle weave cloths. The only cloth I didn’t purchase was the optical cloth.
    I am a very VERY picky cloth person. I have literally tried every brand of dish towel. I have 3 drawers of towels in my kitchen. I would consider myself a home cook so my cloths need to stand up to the challenges in the kitchen. I have used Norwex clothes for years and wanted to see how these compared.
    Notes:
    -I live in an area with very hard water and I also wash all my dishes by hand.
    - I use my own multipurpose spray made of vinegar, dish soap and essential oils.
    -I have been washing them in cold or warm water with very gentle soap and I hang to dry them finish off on the low setting in the dryer.
    I have used the clothes for over a month now and this is my review:
    #1 the general purpose cloth: This cloth is awesome. It’s so absorbent; I can’t believe how much liquid it can suck up. I have been using it for general cleaning around the kitchen and house.
    #2 the waffle weave cloth: 1 word: AMAZING. I would buy a hundred of these if I could afford it! I have never had a tea towel be so absorbent and dry dishes better than this! I hosted my family at Christmas and they all raved about these clothes. I ended up purchasing some as gifts for relatives. I also use it for a hair towel as Melissa suggested. My hair dries soo fast and it’s more shiny and manageable.
    #3 the glass and electronics cloth - I have only used this to clean mirrors and my glass coffee tables. I spray the surface with a multipurpose spray similar to Melissa’s. They work great!
    #4 the makers mini cloth -I love this cloth and have been using it with my baby to clean her face and wipe down her highchair after meals. Same great quality as the general purpose clothes - just smaller.
    #5 the double - sided utility cloth - I haven’t used this cloth as much, but it is soooo plush and soft. I used it to clean the front of my stove and it worked well. I could see how it would work great for stainless steel appliances.
    If you are hesitating on buying any of these clothes....DON’T. I wish I didn’t wait so long. I actually ordered a few more cloths on Boxing Day!

    Use a microfiber cloth after you wash your hair. Amazing how fast they get dry, with no static and it's really good for the ends of the hair.

      Can u use microfibre towels as washcloth for body shower?

  • @loismeyer9417

    Absolutely love the orange one for the shower!! After we take a shower we rinse everything down with water to remove any soap that may have splashed on them. Then we do a quick squeegee job and finish with the orange microfiber towel to dry the whole shower and even the floor. My doing this ... I kid you not!!! ... we DO NOT NEED TO CLEAN OUR SHOWER!! It's always left clean. No mildew marks, no black build up area on the floor, no pink mildew in the door track. Melissa, you said this was possible in one of your videos and I took it to heart and gave it a try (I must admit I was VERY skeptical about this!) but it truly works and no more horrible times of scrubbing grout and walls and glass doors anymore. This system ROCKS!!!
    My second favorite is the grey waffle weave cloth for drying dishes and my hair ... and "yes, of course I don't do that with the same cloth!!" 😄
    But let me just say here, though, every Maker's Microfiber Cloth is my favorite for the job it was made for. My husband got a bag full of cloths from another brand and they didn't get to hang around here very long. I sent them packing to unsuspecting relatives. I only have room for Maker's!!💜

    Thanks for this video Melissa! I always forget all the things the microfiber cloths can be used for and this video is a great reminder. I wipe down the shower with a microfiber cloth after each shower and it really keeps it clean and dry. No mold!! Then I rinse it out and just hang up the cloth over the shower door (or shower curtain rod if you have that) and it dries out really fast. I put up a clean one every now and then and put the other one in with the ones to wash.

    I like using microfiber cloths for basically everything I don't have the makers cloths yet I am definitely going to order them because the quality looks amazing I just haven't got a chance to get around to doing so. I've been using microfiber cloths a long time even before I subscribed to my clean my space but when I started seeing videos of Melissa making using them I didn't realize the extent of what you can use them for, and Melissa showed the awesome ways you can use these cloths and they work really well. When I go to the car wash and I wash my own car I have a microfiber cloth with me always and I wipe down my car. That's one of the uses I use them for.

    I am fifty and have always used paper towels and store bought products. I built a new home and wanted to use homemade cleaning products and bought the micro fiber towels. I can’t believe the difference!! They don’t leave lint or streaking. I wish I had used this years ago. I love the clothes. They are super absorbent and clean so much better then paper towels. Thank you for the education. 😁

    I LOVE your microfiber cloths; it's been two months since I bought the small space kit and I can only recommend them:) I always keep one in the bathroom to clean the walls and bathtub after use. The grey one is great for drying the dishes and the buffing cloth saved me when I had a leak in my kitchen (it's really absorbent). So thank you for your great products and videos! I only miss one I could use on the balcony tiled floor because I don't want to ruin one in the kit with soil or nasty dirt.

    If you have really dirty surfaces you can sprinkle with baking soda and add vinegar and leave to soak about twenty minutes and then rinse well and then use microfiber towel to bring out the shine. Great for glass stove tops. Also, e-cloth makes some good ones for specific purposes. Norwex makes some that can be used without chemicals (they contain silver) . As you mention the shining cloths work great. You can also use white vinegar and orange oil, etc. to clean, and spray in shower to help reduce mildew. Also, bags of bamboo charcoal in shower can be really great. Worse case you can clean glass with 0000 steel wool without scratching and follow with microfiber cloth. Good microfiber cloth in hot water followed by polishing cloth and cleans better than glass cleaners without streaks. Glass cleaner often not as good for glass as simple hot water, microfiber towel followed by polishing cloth.

    Wow, great ideas....guess i hafta retire my cleaning rags and towels now! I used to be afraid my general cleaners would ruin my microfiber cloths. I think your insight on diff cleaning agents, vinegar, etc....offers us BETTER cleaners w microfiber cloths. Guess i gotta stash microfiber cloths now all over my house, cars, office ....lol! Another great video, nice job!
    My fav use of microfiber towels...sorry i have several 1. Glass shower stalls , 2. anything stainless steel, 3. Car wash...microfiber wash mit, general purpose or plush microfiber cloths for applying cleaners, waxes, polishes, sealers and now hybrid ceramics ...buff out or dry a wet car with ultraplush microfiber oversize cloths.

    Perfect timing! I just received my Maker cloths in the mail yesterday and I've been using them today. They really are the best mf cloths I've encountered. I ordered the small packet (I live in a one bedroom apt) so I have a question: For those of you who've been using these for a year or so, how long do they last? I'm assuming I'll have a good long run, because they are so thick, but everything eventually wears out and I want to be alert to reorder when the time comes!

    • @cleanmyspace
      @cleanmyspace  6 лет назад +4

      We've been using many of our cloths in our home for years now, so, it really depends on how much use they get. Each cloth should be good for 500+ washes, but that will vary upon usage - some of our customers like to order an extra set to make each cloth last even longer. Thanks very much for your support KayErin!

    I purchased Maker microfiber cloths 2 months ago and I’m really enjoying them. They work very well. Absolutely no lint or crude left behind and Melissa is so right when she says it takes one wipe. I don’t use ANYTHING else to clean now!
    But I sure read a lot of controversy about using microfiber and laundering them. Some RUclipsrs say that you should not use any cleaning solutions with them or wash them with any detergent. What do you think about this, Melissa? Also some environmentalists are saying they are really bad for the environment because they are not recyclable and when washed the microfibers get released into the water supply. There is actually a bag being sold on Amazon that is recommended to use when washing microfiber cloths.

Then I bought the 2x waffle ones which my daughter and I use as head towel at the gym. Best idea ever!!! The size of a Standard UK Tea Towel or Hand Towel, plus they feel beautiful, they polish glass on one pass. Clean my Space ~ Melissa, Hi there!! Speaking of staff. I was curious how many cleaners you have working for the company? What kind of training do they receive? Would you do a video about the cleaning company sometime in the future? Your home is the head quarters, so their is no physical "Office" for the business right? This is just very interesting. I'm impressed with how successful you have been and at such a young age. It would be so awesome to watch a member of your staff cleaning a home with your training put to use. Thanks for all the incredible videos. I have learned so much and do a lot of things you teach on here. Hope that little girl is doing good and also the Chad.

    I waited for a long time to try DIY dishwasher soap, but finally ran out, so found a recipe and made up a batch last night. I was very skeptical, but it’s certainly as good as anything on the market … better, actually; I noticed that my cutting board is white again, and so is the inside of my dishwasher, both of which had become rather grubby-looking with Finish and Cascade. The verdict? So far, I like this better than any commercial brand I’ve ever tried, and no one could be more surprised than I am.
    2 c. baking soda
    ½ c. washing soda
    1 c. borax
    ¼ c. kosher salt
    ¼ c. citric acid
    15 drops of lemon essential oil (I used grease-cutting orange, which was all I had on hand)
    Mix thoroughly in a large bowl, and store in an airtight container. Use 2 Tablespoons per load. Use white vinegar in the rinse-aid dispenser - leaves everything bright and shiny.
    Now, apropos to today's specific topic ... I also tried this soap powder on my kitchen sink, and the results were impressive - didn’t completely lift coffee stains from my old worn-out, porous, vinyl sink surfaces, but it did clean it nicely. Adding a little Oxy Clean whitened it up beautifully. Naturally, I buffed it with a microfiber cloth for a nice, shiny appearance. Thanks for that tip.

    I love using the softest most gentle microfiber cloth with appropriate solutions to cleanse my prescription glasses, but I’m careful to first rinse them thoroughly under the tap with hot-ish water to remove any particles that may scratch the lenses if not removed before polishing with the cloth. Works great and keeps my expensive eyeglasses scratch free. I’m almost ready to upgrade my two year old lenses and can honestly report they are absolutely scratch free👍😊

    I ordered a large space kit and received a small space kit, so I'm still waiting to hear back what to do with them. I emailed back the to the info email. But they do look way better than other microfiber I own, and I'm excited to get my full set!! I have a 3 bedroom home with a husband, 2 teens and 2 cats, so anything that helps make the job easier I am grateful for!!!

    About a month ago, I decided I was tired of using the little cleaning cloths that my eye doctor includes when I get new glasses. I tossed them and replaced them with one of my green Maker's electronics cloths. I keep one in my desk drawer and reach for it any time I need to clean my glasses or cell phone. It's much easier than using the little cloths I previously used. I have been very happy with my Maker's microfiber cloths - they are excellent quality.

    So I really love the microfiber cloths and I just got the mop and I love that even more. Although I am the type of person that keeps certain cloths for certain jobs and areas. Example blue in the bathroom, purple in the living room, and I use green in the kitchen and I'm so bummed that I didn't notice you had green cloth because I've been using someone else's brand and they're not as good. And I use yellow for floor cleaning and stuff like that and you been out of the mango utility cloth for so long and I look forward to that being be back in stock. I used the two gray utility cloths for the dog and one for the car. And then I use the waffle weave for my hair.

    I wonder if you have any tips on how to clean microfiber cloths? I love them but because they pick anything they are also good at picking any small debris while I am dusting for example small pet hairs that are hard to remove afterwards. Throwing them out is a no no for me because they're non biodegradable/non recyclable so I want them to last me a long time. Thank you for your useful videos and the good info! XO!

    Once I've vacuumed my hardwood floors, I run over them with a microfiber swiffer-style pad (in other words, a microfiber broom) with a bit of water and eucalyptus oil on it. It picks up any remaining dust (just as eucalyptus can be using when washing your sheets- to get rid of dust mites and their excrement) but better still- makes the wooden floors look shiny and smell amazing.

      cara carpenter me, too. I even did the “deep clean” boiling the cloth on the stove,and it smelled the next time I used it. So far these aren’t doing that. I’ve had them since mid summer, and I clean a lot!

    • @nikkialexanderziebell3877
      @nikkialexanderziebell3877 6 лет назад

      That is very interesting. Do you use anything besides water with your Norwex cloths? How often did you launder them, and did you use a free and clear detergent? I just became apart of Norwex and haven't heard of this problem before.

    • @jackiewatsonfitness3695
      @jackiewatsonfitness3695 6 лет назад

      I used only water with the Norwex. I washed them with Tide. I did try the Norwex detergent, but I liked my Tide better. I never used fabric soften with them, either. I did a deep cleaning on my Norwex clothes (boiling them) several times. It is a common problem, if you google it you will find several people had the same issue.

    Love your channel :) Question....if I have only 10-15 wash clothes, it's always too little to start a load of laundry with the dirty wash clothes, but cleaning it in high heat in the washing machine is the only way to kill gems, so what would you suggest me to do? Should I combine the dirty wash clothes with any other laundries? By the way, I really love your book :)

    I work in the optical industry. It's not recommended to use any form of alcohol on optical glasses as it can badly damage the lenses. This can vary depending on the lens material and the types of coatings used etc, but as a rule of thumb better safe than sorry.

    I just recently swapped out my dry Swiffer pads for a microfiber cloth (smaller ones 12x12 snap right into the holes) so I can get the convenience of a Swiffer without having to buy stuff... And for a quick spot mop I use my diy AP cleaner and a microfiber cloth on the Swiffer..

    You can buy a pack of 36 microfiber cleaning cloths for $16 at Sam's club. I've been cleaning vacation rentals for 15 years and these from Sam's work perfectly fine for all these applications. Just be sure to use a clean cloth on any electronics so any minute particles trapped in your previously used cloth does not scratch the surface.
    $60 for 10 microfiber cloths is outrageous.

    Yes, a cleaning care video would be helpful!!! Are these one use then wash cloths?? For example, after using it to wipe down the sink, do I then have to launder it to use again? I can’t imagine using them again after I’ve wiped down a dirty surface. But, seems like I would go through lots of cloths this way.

    • @kayerin5749
      @kayerin5749 6 лет назад

      Wendy, after using the clothes, rinse them well in hot soapy water and then rinse clean. If you hang them up to dry there should be no problem. However, if you are talking about large clumps of food or whatever, use an old rag or a paper towel first, then the microfiber cloth. Most germs in the kitchen thrive on moisture and warmth, so washing them with soap then letting them air dry should kill most if not all of the germs!

    • @Joani161
      @Joani161 6 лет назад

    I'm a bit late to comment but a small micrfiber cloth can replace a swiffer mop pad and do better job. Test for yourself - clean first with a normal swiffer pad and then do it again with a microfiber cloth pressed into the holes instead. You'll find a lot of dirt on the cloth that was left behind from the swiffer pad. A bonus is that the cloth stays in the pad holder better than the swiffer brand pad.
