I think that after they get 30 teams with San Diego FC, we get 2 more to make it 32. I think the last 2 should be Las Vegas NV, which would play at Allegiant Stadium, and Bridgeport CT, which would play at that new stadium being built on the river across from Downtown Bridgeport. The team that will be there is an MLS Next Pro team, known as Connecticut United FC. I think this club would join MLS should they get 2 more teams, and even if they don't, it should at least get an NWSL team in my opinion.

Kraft owns the Revs, he has no desire to build a stadium elsewhere. It's a shame cause a downtown Boston venue of 25K would be amazing for the club.
Chicago, Colorado, Dallas, all suffer from MLS's earl 2000s mindset of "build it anywhere you can for cheap". While MLS has outgrown that mindset, those teams you mentioned aren't a high priority in local politics to get anything new for the forseeable future.

In Chicago, the Bears are in the process of working out a new stadium that they will own instead of renting to play in something that's owned by the Chicago Park District. That's still up in the air, but the Fire will probably become the primary tenants of Soldier Field and then they'll probably do something with it in order to right-size it and make it more like a soccer specific stadium. That still doesn't solve the problem of lack of public transit to the stadium though.

I think that after San Diego FC joins the fun, there should be 2 more teams to make it 32 teams. The 1st one should be in Las Vegas NV, at Allegiant Stadium. Here's the story on the 2nd one. I live in Connecticut, just outside of its largest city, Bridgeport CT. In that city, they are building a waterfront soccer stadium just across the river from Downtown Bridgeport. The team that will play there is Connecticut United FC, which will be an MLS Next Pro team. I think that they should join MLS should they expand to 32 teams. This would mean that our home state would be home to major league sports again! Maybe the Hartford Whalers could come back if the NHL ever expands again. Even if this doesn't happen, they should at least get an NWSL team.

I think that the idea of poor stadiums is a bigger one--why would fans attend a team in a stadium located in the middle of nowhere at a sucky stadium built for another sport? pretty sure DC united and MNUFC attendance jumped when they moved to their respective grounds. give a team a stadium and a winning on-field product and the fans will come no matter the weather. likewise, houston's games are routinely played in semi-empty stadiums (or were when I was last living there a few years ago). same used to be for dallas. i think the weather doesn't really matter here but the stadium does.

      Inter Miami games to
Hard Rock and bigger (NFL) stadiums when they go on the road. One thing to remember, is that Messi is only going to play for another 2 - 5 years. That being said, I do agree that all these new MLS stadiums being built should have been constructed with higher capacity or the ability to expand. MLS has always tried to cookie cut the Premier League, but why pigeon hole yourself with smaller stadiums when you have great expectations for your league and it's growth ?

We all know that bigger and better stadiums will eventually come. But like I mentioned, just look at the EPL, they have kept A LOT of their Old and Smaller Stadiums because of the Nostalgia and Tradition. Obviously, the teams that have built new and bigger stadiums have all had recent success, ei...Man City.
For example...here in MLS, LAFC has been succesful since their inception. BMO only holds 22k, if you ask me, they have out grown that stadium, there is some room to expand it a bit, but not by much in the current footprint. LAFC can't just move in to the Coliseum for bigger games, they could have for MLS Cup, but decided to keep it at BMO. Inter Miami comes to L.A on Sun Sept 3rd, I can't imagine that they keep that game at a 22k Stadium. But they probably will and just keep tickets at at unreachable price for their real fans.

There had been talks of put it in South Boston but that's been abandoned. They are currently building a soccer stadium in Pawtucket, RI but don't know if that's for the Revs. It should be though just to get out of Gillette Stadium.

😂You are clueless about football ⚽️ stadiums. Stop comparing football stadiums to Gridiron and baseball stadiums. You need to study football ⚽️ stadiums more. I am always amazed at the lack of covered stands at NFL and College Football 🏈 Check out the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and the new Everton FC stadium ( in progress) . 🇺🇸🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿⚽️🏈

I'm not a fan of Don Garber since he sits on the board of USSF and inhibits other leagues like the USL from competing with MLS.
That however, is an aside from the rising growth and popularity of MLS. I think that USL is more diverse and much more authentic in it's affordability, growth, and organic fan engagement and identity.

I think the planned Austin stadium looks awesome and very intricate in its concept. I would love to watch a game there!

I wondered why Inter Miami didn’t work with U of Miami to build a stadium near U of M’s campus

If i remember one of the many early ideas talked about a joint venue with UM. But it went nowhere fast. At that time i don't think Beckham had enough investors to peak UM's interest, and UM already had other ideas themselves. It's South Florida politics in a nutshell. It's a miracle that Freedom park is going to happen. And with the transportation hub being mere blocks from the stadium grounds, i think it's a decent choice for a venue. Beckham should be super happy about this place.
