I think there are decent pans. I think I have been far more lucky than many people describe in reviews, but you do have to be careful with them. I really like them for use on induction cooktop.
I haven't had any problems what-so-ever with them. I didn't season them because I didn't know they should be before first use. Never used oil, butter etc in them either. (I can eat the same meal over and over until it's gone. Ate chili 3 days straight 🤷♀️)
Mine still work fine too - but tons of people claim to have had problems. The only issue is it will burn where the bottom induction plate is but it cleans up easily. Just gotta be gentle with them.
Luckily they never do it in the house because I am NOT a fan but in the RV I have to find a way to give them each a place to eat. I go thru a TON of beach wipes. lol
ok, I bought a small propane grill like you have, it works real good. I am still looking to buy a travel van like yours, I actually drive by this storage place and there are 2 or 3 in there like yours. :)
I think a Class B van is a great way to go and I believe there are still solid older models like mine out there to be found. Hopefully you are able to find yours and start your own travels. all the best
Hi Dano I actually have a question about your nuwave mini. Does the dome ever fall off the powerhead when you lift it off when warm or hot? Mine does and I read others having that issue. Doesnt happen when its cold. Love your videos!!
Meat was a bit too grey for me when you cooked it? Was that frozen meat in the freezer for a long time? I would cover the pan with foil when cooking the potatoes to keep any splatter to a min. and speed up the cooking. I like red potatoes for everything. I can't use my NuWave unless I'm running my on-board 2500 watt generator. Sucks too much juice for my 1000 watt Yamaha and my batteries. Oh well, maybe someday I'll find free electrical hookups like you do....:)
I honestly think it is the gopro - gopro seems to not do very well with red tint. I should have just used the lid - there wasn't actually much splatter at all. I used only a tiny bit of oil and mainly for flavor because the Copper Chef pan will do well without oil. Yeah - when I've done dry camping I used the genny for the NuWave a couple times - 750W is not nice to batteries. lol
@NW,usually when marinating meat it changes color and i would think if you cover the pots they get soggy instead of crispy a splatter screen would be better
love your vids a lot but I have a suggestion of rincing the starch out of the taters with water.. dont make a world of difference but I think it's better
Can't is not the right word for people not eating the same thing for lunch and dinner. It is "WON'T". We have been spoiled into thinking that we have to have different food for every meal. Think about our parents and their parents. Especially during the depression, you ate whatever you could get your hands on. Sorry for the rant. If you mean't that people don't always have the luxury of having the same thing for lunch and dinner, I apologize.
Wander Dano I suppose I am such an advocate of cooking up batches and eating the leftovers is because it saves me a ton of money and is the number one thing that allowed me to retire at 55! It seems to be perfect for your lifestyle of traveling also.
So glad I found your channel. Love your cooking videos.
thanks very much and glad you enjoy :)
Me too!
Like your cooking videos .

What? No onions with your fried potatoes? Seriously that looked pretty good.

no no - rant was all good. I think in many situations I now often do the same meal twice or maybe leftover same meal the next day lol

I agree plus I was raised... NOT TO WASTE food. lol
Wander Dano Same here!
looked like good food to me I could eat that twice.
lol it worked... twice :)
I’d like to try the copper chief pan, but sorry iv never seen a steak cooked like that....sorry again but YUK!!!!!
The pans are pretty good - especially good for using on induction. Pan frying steak is not that uncommon.
Wander Dano yes but never never put steak in a cold pan!!
