What I would love to be able to play like you. Just found your channel. Very imppressive and inspiring. The pure warmth of the "Hardware" analog sound is something else. Love it. Great work!
Thank you very much for your comments! I just checked out your channel, and I think we may be kindred spirits. As a keyboardist, you may enjoy my "Making Of" videos. I enjoy ambient music by Robert Rich and Steve Roach. I am currently enjoying your "Blade Runner Bliss" video.
Wow my favorite vover rendition even above much more famous covers. It has its own colour and keeps the film noir film of original, it is truer to original.

Prawdopodobnie spodobałyby Ci się moje filmy „Making of a Cover”. W czerwcu po raz pierwszy odwiedzimy Polskę (Kraków). Dzięki jeszcze raz.
Its hard to realize how hard is what this guy did. I watched all videos on youtube with this music and definetly this is the best in which you can actully say he sang the music himself and corectly.
Нота 'До' в басовом ключе, заставила вернуться к прослушиванию произведения ещё раз. Запомнилась. Оригинальная точка в музыкальной фразе. Сочинение фантастическое. Спасибо.
Thank you for your comments. Indeed, the writing is fantastic, and there is a lot more going on than we tend to hear. Спасибо за ваши Коментарии. Действительно, сценарий фантастический, и происходит гораздо больше, чем мы привыкли слышать.
Beautifully orchestrated. Would love you going through your workflow a bit, how you layered the prophet X, how you switch patches, deconstructing of some patches, the reverb you’re using. ❤
Thanks so much! Please check out my "Making of a Cover" videos. I have three and will release a fourth one soon. I think they will answer some of your questions. In the new one, I will deconstruct the Blade Runner Blues lead patch. I think I have a Playlist where you can watch them in order. The reverb in my previous Vangelis covers is Valhalla VintageVerb. On Blade Runner Blues, I am using Universal Audio's Lexicon 224. I like both and have a good deal more to learn about reverb. When switching patches on the Prophet Rev2, I always put the patch I want to switch to in the User Bank U1 slot. I then start on the Bank U2 slot so that I can easily spin the knob and always hit it. In End Titles, I went back and forth a few times, so I had to be more careful switching to the U2 Bank. I purchased a patch switching box years ago but eventually sold it. I figured, if I didn't use it on End Titles, I probably don't need it!
Rhithm precision, perfect balanced colours, perfect widgets config. So calm and professional in performing. Delightful to watch ! I'm a musician but , I know nothing about sound engineering , not sure if Vangelis performed all at once, like you did, or if he put on layers. Anyway, I assume you spent some time preparing this. I also noticed you did a video showing the working progress, might be fun to check it out!
Thanks! I think Vangelis definitely did a fair amount of overdubbing as he worked, even though he did so much improvising. Yes, this took quite a while to work up; I talk about it and making of sounds in the "Making Of" video.
Thanks so much! Please notice that there is a "Making of" video, which you can find at the end. It's more for keyboardists and for big fans. I think I'm going to also do one for my recent cover of Rachel's Song.
I really appreciate it! This is probably the cover that took me the longest, and there were many moments along the way when I found myself wondering if it was all going to be a big waste of time.
Thanks! I see you're using an HX3. That was my go to simulator when playing live, and I'm always surprised more people don't use it. Great Hammond work! I'm hoping to feature mine more.
@@TaurusTarkus Yes I know that feeling all to well I can spend close to 16 hours with ear breaks in between to get a mix sounding right. but I love the process and I can spend close to 4 hours just tweaking sounds and effects until I hear something that jumps out at me then I know I have it.
It would probably depress me if I knew how many hours I spent on each video, or even on one sound. But, like you, I love the process. @@synthworxswx8709
Thanks! The Rev2 has the amazing ability to sound like many classic synthesizers; it's just not as easy to program! You may find the video where I talk about the sounds I use in this video interesting; the link is at the very end of the video.
It looked like you asked about the Sound Tower software: I haven't used it, and I don't know why. I've heard good things about it, and so I probably should try it at some point.
@@TaurusTarkus Its bloody amazing IMHO, the REV2 can do so many routing options etc its hard to keep track of. In sound Tower its all there in front of you on your monitor and you can create a sound without even touching the Rev2 as all the knobs can be controlled from the computer. Also you can "see" how others made their patches and get ideas.
Thanks! Hopefully you found the videos talking about the sounds of my Vangelis covers. I also noticed from your channel that you like ELP; I have a number of covers of Keith Emerson's music.
@@TaurusTarkus thanks U, I am a sound researcher, someone calls me architect, engineer is not right terms infact, I prefer just "music friend". This is a channel I created for some tests... @@arksoundtek Oh yes; a lot more at this one. That 3D mixing technique is very cool. I'm presently enjoying your Adagio for Strings mix. Do you have any suggestions regarding my mixes? I'm still learning. I should probably use compression. Do you have an compression plug-ins that you like?
Thanks so much! I use ETX-12P by EV. They are probably overkill for what I use them for now, although they sound fantastic. When I bought them, I was playing in a band, and we were using them for rehearsals in my home. I have always wanted a nice sound system like this and only got it rather recently. I decided to get that model after hearing Rick Wakeman rave about them.
Again, they may be overkill. There is probably something smaller, lighter and cheaper. It depends on the application whether or not they are worth the cost. I'm not the best one to ask, so it's probably advisable to get some other options. But I'm definitely happy with them.

The fact that you are playing this in real time truly amazes me.
