In my mind easily one of the most subversive movies ever made. What many expect to be a gritty slow sci fi thriller, turns out to be a visually stunning, impactful, emotional and beautiful exploration of humanity. I couldn't be happier to call it my favorite movie of all time.

It was very important to me and when I look back, one of those fundamental films. I was working at The Burbank Studios at the time which had been and would return to the name Warner Brothers. I was able to walk the empty sets which were amazing and to watch some of the filming. Quite the impressive experience and then to be completely wowed when it came out! When it all comes together with such success - it is rare and wonderful!

Not only is Blade Runner a love story at its core, but the sequel is also a love story, though of a different kind, namely a little girl trying to find her lost father.
A love history, also one of recovered (found?) humanity. * Rachael rebels being a Replicant by loving Deckard. Love like Death cannot give answers, yet it is one of the best lives anyone can get. * Decard decides to love a Replicant, a "subhuman" like the ones he had to "retire". * Roy discovers compassion and empathy just before he dies. The Tears in the Rain scene is so powerful in so many levels. Also, by not taking Deckard's life when the huntsman became the prey, he interrupts the cycle of hatred.

Used to go on nightwalks to the blade runner soundtrack. But the best part was the last bit around the park with this song on. I had a casette tape of the Blade Runner music in 1990, though I can't remember when I first saw the movie. At 56 now, I just know that for as long as I can remember - I have always marvelled at this cinematic masterpiece. Even to this day. I was very please when BR2049 came out in October 2017 - it is/was a worthy sequel.
this is possibly the most romantic and most depressing song to ever exist. This is the type of song to watch the stars with your special someone in a nice car with no troubles in the world, except you're not doing that, and you're single and crying in a parking lot.

@@vanered7664 Ti ringrazio delle belle parole e rispondo che se io possiedo questa sensibilità, anche tu non scherzi mica. Ci sono colonne sonore, come questa di "Blade Runner" e non poche altre, non solo del grandissimo Vangelis, che ti entrano nelle orecchie, nella mente e anche nell'animo o nello spirito, che ti accompagnano per tutta l'esistenza. Questo vale anche per altro tipo di musica, autori e compositori. In ambito cinematografico, mi piacciono moltissimo anche Ennio Morricone e John Williams. Come dici te "queste melodie fanno amare la vita in tutti i sensi" e, aggiungo io, riescono a darle anche un senso che spesso ci sfugge o non riusciamo a capire, anche a causa di una Società globalizzante che sembra amare di più la sofferenza e la morte, piuttosto che la gioia e la vita. Ovvero, che ha perso le vere priorità dell'esistenza. La Musica e autori come Vangelis, seppur parzialmente, ci restituiscono un motivo per continuare a vivere e sperare in un cambiamento, non solo sociale ma anche e soprattutto interiore. Used to go on nightwalks to the blade runner soundtrack. But the best part was the last bit around the park with this song on. It was lonely but a good way and with the music and the darkness, My mind entered this trance like state and life seemed like a dream. Thank you Vangelis for this beautiful piece of music RIP

Blade Runner is one of the best scy-fi movie ever. The storyline is unbelievable futurist at first glance but at main characters performance, out Worldly ambient and music make a diference. I've watched it 3 times. Outstanding

I had a casette tape of the Blade Runner music in 1990, though I can't remember when I first saw the movie. At 56 now, I just know that for as long as I can remember - I have always marvelled at this cinematic masterpiece. Even to this day. I was very please when BR2049 came out in October 2017 - it is/was a worthy sequel.
Thankfully I have all three versions on DVD. This is my all time favorite movie and has been since the 80's. Thank you.
