Great video! I recently purchased the Manticore and I have been watching ton's of videos.
I do primarily beach hunts.
The biggest issue I am having right now with getting used to the machine is it is so powerful I am spending a ton of time digging deep targets because I am digging every signal. I have yet to figure out the machine so I digging everything!!

So glad you did this back to back. My biggest wonder was if the 900 could stand up to the Manicore. Looks like the Beast is worth the extra 600 bucks.

Remember increasing sensitivity does not necessarily mean increased depth. Good video. Except the fence jumping bit. 😮
You could also swap the bottom shaft over if using Manticore coil on Equinox, that is if they are soft compatible.

I've been learning as much as possible over the last month and your channel is fun and informative!!😁 I can watch with enthusiasm instead of falling asleep. First of all I got a tyger digger about 9 months ago and it’s friggin awesome I love it! After watching this I have to agree the manticore definitely punches deeper, I did a similar test on my Garrett apex with a 1800’s token and it wasn’t picking up after 28cm with the standard coil on it. To be honest I really wouldn’t be keen to dig past 30cm I would probably give up and move on….45cm doesn’t sound like far but believe me it is. I definitely have to agree though that manticore is a beast and that 2D display is awesome! Thanks for the vid PJ the “Spurt expert” 😂😂

What’s better at gold? Also discrimination on small gold and relics amongst junk scrap metals. Nails, shotgun pellets aluminium etc. as we are mostly dealing with all of these

For viewer comfort might I suggest that the camera is mounted to the wand. Trying to watch a jumping and rapidly moving LCD is a headache in the making. Liked the side by side contrasts for 900 & Manticore and would like to see both up against the 2300. Price point of the Manticore @ $2499 vs SDC 2300 @ $4300 ... is the SDC 58% better than the BEAST?

The higher price and larger power supply detector should win hands down. It appears that the multi plus ➕️ Manticore is doing just that. Both are great Detectors but the newer technology wins

Nope. I don't think so
Hope y'all go back to this or at least been out swinging the Manticore - Beach profiles, you have to be careful with, because the ground balancing is different to ATG or ATHC and ATLC - because it is programmed to be compensating for moving saltwater minerals. Hence why it's super chatty. But because the $1 and $2 coins ring in from 64-70 ish, you should be able to get some decent depth with ATHC. It puts more power into the 5-10kHz range to punch more depth, whereas ATLC runs more in the 20-40kHz range. ATG is the flat plane, balanced power over all the frequencies.

There’s not much old stuff to detect here in Australia compared to Scotland where I started detecting, I think my oldest coin is 1270, so I sort of gave it all away when I moved here 35 years ago. I’d like a shot at gold detecting buy I’m in Bundaberg and I’m to fkn lazy to drive to the gold fields…lol. Cheers mate.

What would happen if you placed the coin in between two blocks.
We will have to do more tests. Sounds interesting. If you mean up a level in between a block it would just be like normal. The detector would let us know like normal
