I'm looking at stepping away from the Simplex and getting another machine. I'm torn between going for the legend or the 900. What's your recommendation Sid? I know you're waiting on the Manticore coming but a bit pricey for me. 😂
Alright Sid I was the other bloke with the 900, good to meet you. Went out the next day on pasture and the field was far less irony. Same settings and pulled up a crotal bell and a hammy. Been doing more tests and the 900 finds the hammies on their side no problem. See you on the next one bud 👍
It only takes a few seconds but with my 800, I always work the coil back and check the target with the tip of my coil. That way you get the low grunt from the iron and not the overwhelming signal that gives you a good tone. 👍🏻
I've got the Nox 900 and had 2 hammered on it now, both cut halves a little short cross and a tiny wafer thin Elizabeth 1 both have rung out at a very stable 21-22 on the numbers around 6 inches deep, one of them with iron in the same hole which it didn't detect at all only found with the pointer. I have found some iron signals coming in around the low to mid 40's dug them to start with and all were quite chunky pieces, have noticed now with the sounds that the iron signals give a chirpy noise at the end where as true non ferrous in the 40's are just a clean sound if that makes sense. it's certainly fun working out a new machine especially when its new to everyone so we are all learning at the same time!
Great video, thanks! I got my 900 yesterday and used it today and once I was done for the day I felt a bit disappointed with the amount of falsing it did on iron nails(and some bigger bolts/nuts). As you say it is definitely a learning curve! This is a totally new switch for me, I went from Garret AT Max to Exuinox 900, the upgrade is big and the machines are very different so I have to spend some time with it, but again I do feel a bit puzzled by the amount of iron falsing I got. Do you feel as if you have enough to talk about or new things to share to make a video about iron falsing on the 900? How to spot it? How to avoid it? etc. Thanks again, hello from Norway!
Dont run sensitivity too high on iron infested land, up recovery speed to 6-7 when you get a iffy signal try to get a better tid by honing in on what you think is the good target with very small swings of the coil, if the target still sound bad and you can’t get it to repeat then its most likely iron, also the tid numbers will be very erratic

I wonder what causes MF to false on iron. Ive had a couple of 800’s that were bad on discriminating certain iron targets, I then moved to the deus which rarely falsed. Just moved to the deus 2 and thats the same as the 800’s so got to be down to MF. Even gone over iron with deus 1 and 2 in the field, deus 1 clear loud iron grunt, deus 2 “89” dinger.
Sid your a master with the 800 did you pick the 900 over the manticore or did the manticore not interest you? Love your videos mate best on RUclips more please!😊😊
Sid have you had enough time with the 900 to say if it's an upgrade from a Legend yet? I'm not looking to switch from legend at the moment as still learning it but wondering if the 900 offers a significant amount more. Contentious subject I know and largely subjective but interested in your thoughts as a legend fan too.
No i cant see a massive leap in performance over legend… i still recon the legend is a brill machine especially after you’ve put the hours in and learnt it.. i have still got to update the legend to latest software yet…
I've been running the 700 fior a few months now and I don't think it's possible to learn the numbers. I've had lead come in anywhere from 18 to 80. It's also murder for showing iron as good signals. I've dug more iron with the 700 than I did with the 600.
Yeah i am so far… the deus ii needs the update everyones been asking for for ages! It could all change with a D2 update but for me and my style of detecting the deus 2 don’t cut the mustard
And this video of the 900 is why I'm glad to of gotten Anything Minelab and I have the X-Terra Pro Now and it's a little baby Brother to the Equinox 900 and it's Abilities to tell you about the target.....

Another too expensive detector like deus 2 since the fcc kept power lowerd at least in America think my whites idx pro has more power then these new ones these came out 30 40 yrs ago don’t think the fcc cared at that time like one I have other then mine lab Ctx or the etrac idx pro may be 11 or 12 volts but that makes for a lot of weight did not know that detectors give off lots of interference

Hello mucker 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 yeah the 900 does seem to have the edge over 800 just a case of learning the language of the iron again

How loud donyou have the iron tones?
I set mine quite quiet so all the good tones bang through
I definitely have to turn down the sensitivity that helps
