I got to tell you, the process you outlined in this 4 part series is just what the doctor ordered. I have two Pro 1000 presses. One for 9MM and the other set up for 45ACP. Both of them have loaded just over 3,000 rounds each. Both of them were giving me problems, but I’ve had those problems from the very beginning, it was only getting more intensified.
I studied the four part cleaning series, and this last Saturday, I took them both apart and cleaned them using WD40. The only thing I did differently was I used white lithium grease to grease the bottom of the shell plate and shell plate holder . I also greased the rams on both machines.
I had to so some fine tuning on my dies after everything was back together, and reset my adjustable charge bar for my powder, and my bullet seater to get it back to within acceptable overall bullet length. I loaded about 20 cases in the case feeder, and it worked better than it ever has, both of them.
Thanks for the instructions they saved these presses from an early retirement.

the reason you were having trouble with the zero adjustment screw is because you have it installed wrong the head of the screw goes inside the shell plate carrier i'm sorry i'm not trying to pick apart your video its good work thanks for posting

i find if you put a locknut on that top spot on that case feder it will stay and therefore stay adjusted all you have to do is put the bottom nut on and tighten i also use a spray gun filled with barasol to clean my parts i just happen to have a compresser and spray gun I also have 2 s hooks and a spring abougt 4 inches long closed loops on end proabaly quarter inch diameter on my powder feeder no more breaking chains got the s hooks and spring from hardware store for cheap videos are grea

yeah my dad gave me one of these and i just barely got it cleaned up. it has a set of 38/357 dies on it, and i am having issues with the zero adjustment too i'll set it and check that there is no clock wise movement of the shell plate and i'll cycle it 2 times no problem on the 3rd cycle it will only move half way through the shell index and stop. i think i may be missing a step on the zero adjustment. i've checked all the parts and they are in good shape but of course what do i know lol

So did you have to lube the ratchet ?

There's also another issue, which I'm experimenting with to confirm my suspicions. Has to do with lubing the large white plastic ratchet.
