Hi, I am planning to buy the ZX CVT but I'm just worried about ADAS's CMBS (Collision Mitigation Braking system). My usage in the city and typical congested Indian city condition.. bumper to bumper traffic. I am worried about the system giving false warnings or warning it think is correct & then applying strong brakes. Worried about rear collision. Turning it off each time is impractical. Please let me if in your tests you found it to be problem or the system is good and not very intrusive to create a problem. Thanks
I always wanted to see 1.5 iVTEC under affordable SUV 's hood. Thanks a lot Honda for making it happen. Fun combined with practicality. I wish it would be grand success and give a run to Korean sisters..
I think the comment/question about interior quality was spot on. Honda has a reputation of going overboard (old Civic/Accord) or complete basic (Amaze/Brio). This one looks non-offensive.
Please let me know how woud CVT do in extreme uphill situations with full load? will it be safe, and l’am not talking about normal underground parking ramp/slopes.
I would pick this over Creta & Seltos for Honda's precious ride quality. But they really need to up the engine and bring in more features. I think aggressive pricing might do the trick for Honda.
@@evoIndia Does that mean we can't expect aggressive pricing from Honda? :P Anyways, yes, hybrid would. But knowing Honda, I don't think we can expect a hybrid in the next 2-3 years. By then, quite a few Korean and may be even Indian models might be on road.
@@masterbaiter338 it’s a myth, yeh car itna zyada reliable hota hai ki spare parts ki zaroorat hi nahi hota. Last 10 years mein bas ek baar Fuel Pump - 16k and Suspension change hua hai - 40k
Also a question to the reviewers, many of them have said, I expect it to start from 10.5 or 11 L? How? Honda City itself starts from 11.57L ex showroom. How can a car on the same platform, but with more sheet metals and parts, start at a lesser price?
Very impressed by the Elevate. Hard to point at glaring negatives. Apart from a features list that can't match up to the likes of the Greta / Seltos, I think it does everything very, very well. A properly sensible addition to the mid-size SUV class.
@@arnovsarkar8013 It is, but when you think of spending 15 Lakhs and can get an elevate for the same price or a lakh more, people will shift to Elevate,
Hi evo Team, could you let us know more about the build quality? As seen in many videos, the bonnet and side steel are less heavy as it’s designed in a way to protect pedestrians. But couldn’t make sure how heavy the body is and does it feel safe inside as well? Does the bonnet and doors are heavy as Tata and Kushaq?
2 questions- 1. Why is the speedo marked till only 180 when the City has markings till 220? Have they limited the top speed like the Brio platform? 2. Are the LEDs reflectors or projectors?
I think Honda Elevate is an all rounder. It has a balance between the likes of Creta and Taigun. It has got the performance, handling, ride, comfort, adequate features, practicality, and reliability. I think it ticks all the boxes. Only thing, it should be priced correctly. In fact, I feel, this should be priced lesser than the City for the initial pricing. Only then it can attract buyers.
Thank you so much for featuring and answering my question on handling, ride and build quality. I pre-booked it long time back. So far so good. It is almost a done deal but will test drive it before going ahead with the purchase. Cheers!
Sounds like Honda come up with few design and interior changes to their hatch wrv and announced it as a mini suv. Even though the engine was 1.5, the character sounds like character of wrv. Let's see if it'll ELEVATE honda sale numbers
For those who worry about 0-100 timing, it will be the fastest for sure in the NA 1.5 segment. It should be par with the 1.0 TSI SUVS. Elevate's V variant should be equipped with all the essentials and ADAS in addition as the Ambition or the Highline variants of the German SUVs
This car looks much better than the BRV. Though I wish they brought the updated BRV (NX7) to India. Of all the CSUVs, the BRV is the most practical option. That said, I feel this is too little too late for Honda. The lack of a hybrid system in this market is just inexplicable! Especially given how well the Hyryder, Hycross, and Grand Vitara are selling. But this kind of decision from Honda doesn't surprise me anymore.
If Honda launched this product 2 years ago they were leading this segment by now. But now it's too late competition is more tough now with Suzuki, Kia,Tata, MG, mahindra, VW and huyndai etc
To everyone not going for the Creta/Seltos top end models, this is the car to get. Automatic options with the lower end and overall a sensible option. Wish it had hybrid to boot. Hopefully the Elevate EV comes soon.
I hope there is a facelift on the way in the next 6 months with a panaromic sunroof, ventilated seats and the important Hybrid option which will help with fuel economy which I think will make it one of the go to daily driver options. With this fuel economy and current fuel price, I will stay away from this option
I know that honda car is comfortable for sitting and for day driving but for night driving honda all cars are not safe and not comfortable because of it's light quality and its light long throw is not very much good
I think interiors are understated sophistication as is usual for Honda, most others in this segment are way too tacky and are either trying too hard nor not hard enough, this is just right. I would have liked ambient lights but I detest the gimmicky and tacky multicoloured options that are the rage days.

Yes or anything may be but not creta
Kushaq at any day ❤
Kushaq always
ofcourse, why underpowered engines for india?

True that. It has the potential to be the safe choice.
For those who want a safe car but not interested in Skoda / VW, This is the way to go, this will give run for money to cars like Venye, Sonet, Brezza
Venue, Nexon and Brezza are one segment down cars

Does not having TPMS is a big issue ?
People talk about features. My question is how many people use all the features. I think reliability, performance and convenience is important.

2 questions-
1. Why is the speedo marked till only 180 when the City has markings till 220? Have they limited the top speed like the Brio platform?

top speed capped at 160 as stated by faisal khan
The top speed is 160kmph, hence it's 180kmph.
Lights are projectors.

Plz compare this with seltos 1.5NA both MT and cvt
Will it be able to do mild off roading?
Probably yes , in fact I'm pretty sure it can do decent off-roading considering the 220mm ground clearance which is the best in the segment
Mild shouldn't be a problem.
nice review!

Cvt or mt which has a better drive feel
MT for the fun, CVT for the convenience.

Not yet.

The top end could be around ₹16-17lakh, but we shall find out for sure around the end of the month.

the review is well presented but need to think beyond honda city ...
Looks a bit understated which I like especially the rear. Hope they introduce a turbo petrol at least asap.

It plays a safe game with design.
Honda should have brought the HRV even if it would cost more in India
Nah HRV in India would be another Civic in India
Creta and seltos features yes looks ridiculous..... taigun and kushaq small but german..... elevate is the best of both worlds in my opinion
