Happy to see Force motors is becoming modern day by day. They're lagging the competition but they're thinking how to come out of their commercial vehicle image 🎉
Karol bhag is a magical place for this car to make it close to a G-Wagon. Interior upgrades and a mercedes logo will make it hard to differenciate in looks
What is stopping Force Motors to improvise and give tough competition to other companies like Tata and Mahindra. The force motor engineers and designers just have to take a ride in Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV 700 and they will know where they are lagging. Why they need so much time to change or improvise the things I really don’t understand. On one side they are saying its Indian G Wagon but the staring wheel is still like Tempo Traveller. Why don’t the Force motors involve the common people and get their review. Like the Toyota did before manufacturing Toyota Etios. Why some of the Indian Auto makers force the people to buy what they give and don’t give what they want. The management has to come out of its commercial vehicles mind set and concentrate on winning the market like Tata and Mahindra are doing.
Because you are kid you don't know the feeling of of old style steering.....if they will will make it like a g wagon..so then why g wagon exits???? I love that old style interier because the real feelings is different from others ❤❤❤

I think this is the most honest review of the new Gurkha I have seen. In many cases the Gurkha is hyped up and some just dismiss it saying its not cut out to be on sale in 2024. And here you are calling a spade, a spade. I completely agree with you, it is not for everyone and I think none of the previous Gurkhas were too. They always were targeted at a very very niche set of buyers, ones that could look past a lot of it's flaws. TBH I have been a big fan of the vehicle from the Trax days, even before the 4x4 was made available to the junta. So my views on it are very biased, I love it and provided I could splurge the asking price, I would buy it in a heartbeat regardless of all the niggles it WILL have. This is a very honest machine, it doesn't pretend to be anything or doesn't try to please anyone, and like you said a proper old school SUV. One of the things it gets over the older 3 door are proper power adjustable OVRMs. Force should offer the 5 door with a reclining/folding bench mounted further back and ditch the captain seats in the last rowr, at least as an option. While the boot space is low, I don't think its any worse than a 7 seater SUV. You can still stow soft bags behind the rear seats and may be a carry on between the seats. You will just have to remove them while getting in and out of the vehicle, something one does in the 3 door also. But yes, folding jump seats like on the Innova would have made life more easier. Does the 3 door also get rear AC blower? I think the least they could have done is color matched the unit to the headliner. They have used a lot of parts already in use like mirror controls, shift-on-fly knob, PW switches etc. but that is where the cost cutting comes in, the Gurkha just doesn't have the numbers to justify the additional investment, I don't think Force is even ready for high numbers as Mahindra. One thing I want to know in your full review, can the 2024 Gurkha crawl as well as the 2021 on steep inclines? (not the same as Force had arranged this time) I have driven the older one in some steep incline and I was surprised how good it was. I just hope it hasn't lost that while upping the power. All said and done, a very detailed and well put together review. 👍
18:03 absolutely agree. It's not for everybody. This deserves a great owner who still loves to drive the vehicle rather than being driven by a vehicle😅
You can't go off-road on a FWD-monocoque and you can't hit fast Conners on a 4×4 ladder-frame. It all depends on the use case. (I'd still pick the 4×4 ladder-frame)
I have not driven the Gurkha, but recently I took my friend’s sparingly used Thar for a vacation in Pench from Hyderabad….The Thar’s air conditioning had issues and the infotainment console went blank..it it to a Thar dealer who wanted 4 days to rectify the issue hence had to get these issues sorted out from an external workshop…Mahindra service centre needs a lot of improvement
Yes, Captain seats should be offered as an option as well as an option to buy one as a 4 or 5 seater. If the Defender 130 can be bought as a 5 seater from the factory, then I guess, Force can do it too. If the floor mountings for the seats are similar between the middle row and the third row, many people will start doing this mod. Accessories like a cargo barrier would be great for outdoorsy people who travel long distances with large pets.

@@harshaworld4257 ideally this should be the case but not here. I’m talking about seats not the engine sir. 20kg here and a 30kg there doesn’t really make a huge difference on a so called robust tank like vehicle. Mimic the Innova crysta captain seat version .
Good review, as you have done review of previous Gen Xtreme 2.2 litre 140 bhp version so compared to new one, which one is better in terms of performance & feel?
If only this had a good automatic transmission I would've bought it yesterday. I LOVE the Jimny but I'm just too tall for it (6'8") so this is perfect for me it looks even better IMHO but no auto! It's not a sports car that I wanna shift myself man an auto is a must.
Many things have been lifted from the market. That gear lever is lifted from Creta Manual Models. Centre AC vents from Safari. Not that we are complaining though because Last Gurkha’s interiors were downright commercial.
It wouldn't be a surprise if this sells in good numbers, because whatever practicality it was lacking in 3 door version, it's now all there. A very good point has been mentioned that the seats are just bolted on with 4-6 bolts & in some time after market accessories shops will come up with ways to readjust the seats in order to increase legroom or put in better seats altogether. Cruise control would really have gotten this in with the competition, but who knows maybe in the next update. In any case cruise control is only used on expressway & no sane person would take such a high GC vehicle with reportedly less brake bites on an expressway. This has become a lot more desirable & will sell in good numbers. Awesome review though..❤
A big relief for the hill Billy hill drivers. Looks, accomodation and the colour and new suspension setup. All good. Mahindra's catch 22 bushing and ball joint and bumpy ride. That will all be a back date story for me now. I'm buying the 5 door one with the new olive colour👍🏻
All the over-glamorized super SUVs of today, Range Rover, Defender, G Wagon, Land Cruiser, Wrangler... They started life as utilitarian and purpose-built workhorses (except for maybe RR, which was an upmarket offering even back in the day). Force motors is offering a very capable and rugged offroader at a reasonable price. Really hope they dont discontinue it too soon. Would love to add this to my garage soon 🤞.
This feels like the Toyota Land Cruiser 70 series that's sold in AUS and SA. Similar concept...similar features...similar off road tech, ironically same back seat space too I think lol.
0:48....lap belt is for middle passenger...others get 3 point... 4:44...Bolero classic do not have steering controls, not even a 2din music system ,no option to change ac to legs nor cant use vents to inside and glass at a time...no automatic..no proper doorpads😅😅

This will be great buy for those who actually offroad. Good that they have upgraded the engine to 140bhp. Earlier 90bhp engine is too low 2.5ton vehicle. Streeting mounted controls and better quality steering is much needed. Force can give customization option like 2nd row captain seats, 5 seater option etc. Good job Force motors looking forward to see such impressive vehicles.
Unfortunately that 4x4 lever has changed to a rotary dial. Don't get me wrong, The Force Gurkha's still proper offroader with those differential lockers. Although manual tranny is being retained, at least she can do engine braking during down hill. At last but not least, The rear drum brakes ain't bad at all anyway. Yes, she's old but she'll hold. Kudos to The Force Motor and much appreciate for Sirish Chandran & Evo India. Regards.
I like tata sumo so much but it is discontinued now, and here it is thanks to force motors for launching this boxy tata sumo look gurkha I will buy it now❤❤
Gurkha is love ❤️ I waited for it to be launched so long but it didn't then I got a jimny 2 months back .had i known 8t Wil finally launch I would have waited for this 😢
I still find gurkha lagging in terms of interior, gearbox and brakes. Force motors should look into this. I was waiting for this to buy, but now seems to wait for 5 door thar. 😢
Interior you can upgrade with aftermarket parts which is even better for overlanding or off-roading adventures. Manual gearbox is always better than automatic. And brake are ok, drums are more durable. And you can buy brake pads which have pieces of ceramic for better performance, so overall is good, I am thinking to order this one, I would like to have more airbags
Great to see Force is updating their Gurkha 5 door ,while doing so they need to improve their service and spares network which I must say is below average.
Very wholesome videos man. This guy loves his cars. Could you please make a video on Camry Hybrid? Or even better make a drag race video. There are few videos on RUclips which went viral as no one expected a sleeper car like Camry to win drag races ridiculously easily. Suggestion: race it against Octavia or Superb. BMW X1 or Audi Q3 may also be an interesting proposition.
Is there any issues regarding the funding of Force motors?? They are lagging behind every manufacturers in India..Hope, they will clear those drawbacks like TATA & Mahindra soon!!.. They don't have much time for that unlike the other Indian manufacturers coz, the whole industry is in a period of transition..😕
The side profile of the vehicle looks so cute and appealing. But the rear end and front grill still need some cosmetic changes. Rear end still make one remember trax. Overall, looks of the vehicle is dope👍
ORVM and 4wd Borg Warner electronic selection inspired from Old TATA Safari. Bonett styling resembles TATA Sumo. But all together ❤️ looks good and perfect blend of Technology with diff lockers make it still a head in its segment Always 😀 😉
Gurkha is for hardcore offroad and the vehicle will not betray you there. I am having the 3D one and would love to explore and change to the new 5D one.
Excellent review. Honest enough, One thing caught my attention when you said it was crawling when you were going up the off road settings...... does this crawling (slowly) nature of the engine without foot on clutch or accelerator make life easy in bumper to bumper traffic and work like an automatic car does? is my assumption right? Pls let me know🙏
No. You shouldn't use 4X4 modes on tarmac (roads) as it would wind up your transfer case and cause huge problems. 4X4 modes are only for use on surfaces where traction is low

Exactly like Citron C3Aircross . ❤❤ I’m extremely happy to see them work on the product and upgrade it with mindful inputs. All that is left now are the showrooms and silly sluggish sales agents who are least interested in selling . Lena hai lo varna Aage badho…. Sawal mat poocho.
Glad you liked it . They are improving on their sales and after sales service. #thethrillofdriving
May be they didn’t want to move the 3 seater to last due to weight distribution.
I guess they designed this with some considerations
@@harshaworld4257 ideally this should be the case but not here. I’m talking about seats not the engine sir. 20kg here and a 30kg there doesn’t really make a huge difference on a so called robust tank like vehicle. Mimic the Innova crysta captain seat version .

The dealer network is being improved upon with new areas for the Urbania and Gurkha to cater to a different audience from their regular vans
Three differential locks? Is there a central diff lock as well??
When you engage the 4-Low centre diff locks
Good review, as you have done review of previous Gen Xtreme 2.2 litre 140 bhp version so compared to new one, which one is better in terms of performance & feel?
The new one. Definitely. Because the rest of the package is such a huge step up
the new one is better in every respect
how 3 locking diffs? i only see front and back
Centre locks in 4-low
@@sirishch ohh thats cool
YES, It's a G-BANGAN....!!! It looks like a enlarge TATA SUMO and it will also be a replacement for it in the hilly areas.
The Sumo was much, much bigger if you remember
If only this had a good automatic transmission I would've bought it yesterday. I LOVE the Jimny but I'm just too tall for it (6'8") so this is perfect for me it looks even better IMHO but no auto! It's not a sports car that I wanna shift myself man an auto is a must.
Hopefully an auto will come soon
Many things have been lifted from the market. That gear lever is lifted from Creta Manual Models. Centre AC vents from Safari. Not that we are complaining though because Last Gurkha’s interiors were downright commercial.
Don’t recognise the 4x4 knob?
That's the only way a small manufacturer like Force can deliver whatever it can
Hi Sirish, which is that wrist watch you wearing?
Speedmaster
Speedmaster
@@sirishch Thanks, nice watch.
Time will tell the real story . Thanks for the appreciation.
May be cruise control is needed till you reach the off-road place.
But it will spoil the old school charm
A big relief for the hill Billy hill drivers.
Looks, accomodation and the colour and new suspension setup. All good.
Mahindra's catch 22 bushing and ball joint and bumpy ride. That will all be a back date story for me now. I'm buying the 5 door one with the new olive colour👍🏻
Enjoy it and let us know what it is like to live with
@@sirishch sure will....

Apartment from that it's superb kudos to the design interior
@0:18 you opened 2 doors and with joy and loudness saying "comes with five doors".
Just kidding 😂
I am considering this but still thinking for the value of the money.
hahaha....
😂😂😂😂😂
The perfect example of modern and old school technology a simple and minimalist SUB appreciatable
This feels like the Toyota Land Cruiser 70 series that's sold in AUS and SA. Similar concept...similar features...similar off road tech, ironically same back seat space too I think lol.
the more things change....
Now this is the real suv. Will go for it.
Test drive and decide #thethrillofdriving
a proper SUV!
0:48....lap belt is for middle passenger...others get 3 point...
4:44...Bolero classic do not have steering controls, not even a 2din music system ,no option to change ac to legs nor cant use vents to inside and glass at a time...no automatic..no proper doorpads😅😅
Come on now, Bolero Classic isn’t a rival
@@sirishchhey man thsts what i said....bolero is outdated and now again removed from reality by its old competor gurkha...bolero "had"..2.6 once but now shit 1.5 and became a compact suv...it should be a legacy of mahindra but destroyed
Company should launch 6 seater variant with middle row caption seats that be more comfortable to get in third row
They should and you're on point
I'm sure they are already thinking of it
This will be great buy for those who actually offroad.
Regards.
Thank you!

Gurkha - The pride of India❤
what a suv , unbelievably good
4x4!
💪
I still find gurkha lagging in terms of interior, gearbox and brakes. Force motors should look into this. I was waiting for this to buy, but now seems to wait for 5 door thar. 😢
Interior you can upgrade with aftermarket parts which is even better for overlanding or off-roading adventures. Manual gearbox is always better than automatic. And brake are ok, drums are more durable. And you can buy brake pads which have pieces of ceramic for better performance, so overall is good, I am thinking to order this one, I would like to have more airbags
Very nice, this my type of 4x4 ,simple and durable
The SUV with the real badass looks i have been waiting for.....
💪🏻
It's mighty
This looks like a military vehicle ...like a beast
Surely it is!
Light Strike Vehicle is based on this
Excellent upgrade, specially the 7 seat with more power. Now people could think off adding this car instead of other 7 seatr cars for family
more power is a big upgrade

Great to see Force is updating their Gurkha 5 door ,while doing so they need to improve their service and spares network which I must say is below average.
They're putting the hard work into that also
Work already going on on that front....
Glad you liked it. Thanks for the suggestion.
Great idea!
Camry video coming soon!
Sir Black colour available???
Yes. Looks fab
yes!
2026 version will come with automatic gearbox, cruise control, ottoman second row captain seats, ventilated front seats and Adas safety system

It’s not funding. Their core business is vans and that’s where all the attention and budgets go
The side profile of the vehicle looks so cute and appealing. But the rear end and front grill still need some cosmetic changes. Rear end still make one remember trax. Overall, looks of the vehicle is dope👍
more work for the mods community
Trax design was also G-wagen inspired so...

ORVM and 4wd Borg Warner electronic selection inspired from Old TATA Safari. Bonett styling resembles TATA Sumo.
But all together ❤️ looks good and perfect blend of Technology with diff lockers make it still a head in its segment Always 😀 😉

4X4 modes are only for use on surfaces where traction is low
the crawling only happens in 4-low and you wont engage 4-low in bumper to bumper traffic
Tata you must re launch the Storme 4*4 with updated interiors and the hexa automatic gearbox.
Civilian version of the army Safari?
