It looks like these off-road experts almost wanted the Thar to win every time. They already made up their mind for tests. You cannot have people who are already an owner of one of the car as a judge, it is always subconscious bias working while driving.

Gurkha will loose all points after each ride . Most people don't talk about it because they got Gurkha with emotion and not brains :) . Emotional damage can screw their life if they speak about the problems they face 😆
Scores if test was unbiased Jimny : 25 Gurkha : 23 Thar : 15 Lot of people will ask why I rated thar thar low. Reason is , it’s jumping like boat and would have broken the neck or back of driver in not so planned off-road . And another reason is , Thar needs to visit service center after every off-road

If we calculate everything like cost of car, Cost of maintenance & Fuel efficiency on road ... JIMNY is clear winner. Thar might be good off roader but no one will go off road daily. So in my perspective Jimny is All rounder

We got a Jimny at home so I am glad to see these results. 😇 But, tyres play a huge role while off-roading and in ideal test conditions, all 3 SUVs should have the same branded AT tyres.
I am a very old subscriber of your channel, but this time I am very much disappointed with the comparison video made by you guys, no hate to anyone but your so called offroad experts wanted Thar to win in every possible way, again all the three offroad suvs are the best offroaders in India but still this video was not fair enough for gurkha.
This video doesn't really tell us anything. Most of the tests were highly dependent on driver skills and the drivers willingness to push the car hard. Vibration test from a phone app? Really?? Features? You've given a car with more doors, more points when the 5 door versions of the other 2 are available. Your content needs to be more credible.
Then there are many more 4wd suvs on the list. At least a price bracket is also something you should be considering therefore 3 door versions are the nearest to jimny 5 door price.

Like many such comparison out there, this too is unfortunately flawed. Take the steep, slippery climb for example: you simply cannot perform just one run per car and conclude. The Gorkha took two or three tries to reach the top. The thar and Jimmy did it in one. What if they just got lucky the first time? You must keep the no. of runs same for all the cars and then conclude. Maybe the Gorkha isn't as capable as the other two, but maybe it is, but the driver couldn't get it right the first time? Did you use the same driver for each car? Also, the drivers clearly love the thar - could they have stayed neutral? Too many loose ends to accurately conclude.
It is strongly advised to refrain from seeking advice or making decisions solely based on the opinions of those on the internet who claim to be off-road experts! The off-road tracks here are relatively tame compared to the challenging terrain I have encountered in my previous expeditions. For instance, the Garo Hills in Meghalaya present a far more formidable obstacle, and I doubt that the drivers here would be able to navigate those treacherous paths with their current knowledge on off road

I believe its all about the Driver who is driving the vehicle. What all matters First is the lives of the people sitting in the SUV, this one important test was missing this will make the difference. I hope Next time they do this test.
I think this video creator love thar and jimny.. becasue Gurkha is a legend.. hill climping test they will not engage driff lock.. next they says gymny suspension is best you know they will not show the gurkhas suspension action or vibration it's an independent suspension... Suspension test is available in RUclips.. I think they got money from Mahendra and Suzuki.. Still legend is Gurkha...
One thing not covered properly in this video is that the drivers were rushing with the Gurkha, as if it is a light vehicle like a Jimny. It is a beast, beast takes time, try releasing the clutch and let the Gurkha do its job the next time.

Gurkha has a Snorkel, so the Air Intake sound would be there, you put a snokel on Jimny and Thar, the would be sound issue. Also on the Hill Climb, for Gurkha the Driver was unable to pull up.
In 0-80 start the Gurkha in second gear instead of 1st gear. You will get better results. The At tyres of Gurkha are not good. In RT tyres it performs better and lastly in any off roading keep the rear deff pulled all the time. Other things breaks and articulation of gurkha are not only poor but very very poor.
There is no way that the Thar can beat the Jimny in offroad prowess and it's obvious that of the 3 units tested here ,who rules the tarmac..!! I own the jimny, Thar diesel and mighty Hilux too.. Previously used to have the MM540, Gypsy. Not sure why the media is downgrading the jimny so much .. Even in this test..it's surprising that Jymny has not won by leaps and bounds...!! In Indonesia the jimny costs close to 27 laks. Here in India we get it at half that price and boy what a value for money that is....!! But still surprising that why people can't digest these facts!! Narrow body makes it easy in cities..and unmatched poised ride too... What else do one need??

@evoindia atleast have the decency of using the same tyres on all cars i m sure u would not go bankrupt for doing so. Furthermore u can have the best engine config but without proper set of tyres its of no use specifically in offroad scenarios. Not sure who handles the technicalities of ur team.
Thar will win hands down on "on Road tests". The higher power and pretty good torsionally rigid chassis helps. Off road, there is no one beating the mountain goat. In fact, it can take Jeep Rubicon and G wagon head on in tests. Thar off road is just not upto it yet!
These guys are comparing a more powerful petrol version of thar with Diesel Gurkha by fastest time. Don't they know petrol engines are faster accelerating ones.

Technically the speed gear ratio is in such a way which engages very stongly at that speed or instance if you drive like all normal car how it can stand out. And it needs a driver who drives not the car which drives and driver does nothing. So skill up

Leave all comparison the thar got quickly as the driver owns thar ( drives daily) and he is use to it if a gurkha driver drives gurkha at track can do better timings
Technically the speed gear ratio is in such a way which engages very stongly at that speed or instance if you drive like all normal car how it can stand out.
And it needs a driver who drives not the car which drives and driver does nothing. So skill up
