I opted for CVT cause it's ideal for Indian cities but pleasantly surprised with highway performance and it cruises below 2000 RPM at 100 kmph and butter smooth plus confident inspiring. So I think it's ideal car for both cities and highway run.

@@The_futuredoc01 1) manual and auto boxes ratios' for the same car aren't always similar 😃
2) the lower the rpm at 100, the more relaxed the vehicle will be while cruising 😃
@Petrolhead11 did you find the NVH levels high during highway drives? I have been hearing a lot about it from some owners. Can't make up my mind. 🙄
@@adgun16 NVH are higher compared to other cars but particularly more pronounced when driven on bad roads with not so smooth tarmac.. if you are listening to music then it's barely recognizable but it's there.
Most useful video. Very few people discuss cruising speed RPM. Can anyone provide information about cruising speed RPM for Honda Amaze, Tata Nexon. Preferred speed 115 kmph.
The Car Is So Much Smooth when we are cruising on controllable speeds.. And the Sportiness increases as soon as you press the throttle.. And for better mileage what i do is for the first 10-20 kms i drive it on 60-70km/h and as the mileage reaches 19-20 i maintain that mileage and will slowly increase speeds to 100-120… those who will buy this will know what I’m saying…

The elevate i own is somehow acting bit rear heavy. Even on straights it has tendency to pull backwards. It always needs handbrake to ensure it doesnt roll. Anyone else feels this car is bit oddly balanced or read heavy a bit

I have done himachal trip 4600 kms and kerala trip 3000 kms with elevate manual.... i have cruised at 100 kmph for 300 kms in one stretch ... excellent highway car

This was a media unit, and the dashcam wasn't connected.
yo can you do the same with a cvt varient? the engine revs lower on it.
I will once Honda gives me a test unit. They are apparently scorned because I called Vikas Yogi out for the misinformation he has given in his branded content video. They should be thanking me, but on the contrary they are unnecessarily pissed 🤦

I am curious because i am from the hills and the roads hardly gives 60 km/r average speed.
So what's your concern exactly? You want to know whether the Elevate has adequate power and response for the hills? Yes, it absolutely does.
@@NewsXAuto well being a hill driver, constant upclimb normally dips the mileage. So I was wondering if the vtec kicking in at early rpm would help in mileage.
@@mhasekotso it's the opposite. At low speeds/rpms, the lowest cam (lobe) profile on the camshaft operates the valves, thereby lowering fuel consumption. It switches to the high lift profile when more performance is needed. So, in a nutshell, the Elevate will be anyday more fuel efficient in the hills than its turbo-engine competition 😃 Damn, I should have included this explanation too in the review 😑
please test with full load of 5 people and luggage to see if car struggles on slopes or acceleration.
Sure. The media unit has gone back but my friend has one and he will be travelling with his family from Delhi to Kashmir and back soon. He will come back after a month though, so you'll have to wait until then.

It's underpowered.. it takes a lot to touch 100. I mean engine begs power. Nvh is high.
In expressway made for 120 kmph you will feel sad in this vehicle.

Tata and Mahindra have come a long way, but they have an equally long way to go. The biggest issue with us Indians is that once we are successful, we think we're invincible. That's the worst thing one can do. That is why they aren't improving their horrible service, and the overall ownership experience of their cars. I always recommend the potential owners that when it comes to Tata and Mahindra, you must visit a few service centers near your house and talk to both the personnel and customers there, and gauge how you would be treated if you were to buy their vehicle 😃

Not at all! On the contrary it's Pretty low for a naturally aspirated engine.

Hello, happy to tell you that I booked VX automatic variant of elevate I could go for manual ZX but I was looking for automatic and the ZX automatic is out of the budget. I love the Elevate so much ❤

The comms team at Honda Cars India are upset with me because I called out their favourite sponsored RUclipsr, Vikas Yogi of ICN, for the incorrect information given by him in his branded content video. So they might not give me a media unit of the Elevate CVT. Still, I'll check with them in a few days....
@@NewsXAuto Ohh....can you not influence Honda management to improve insulation & add some essential features which do not cost much like Cruise control on VX variant TPMS, 360 degree camera? There are staunch Honda fans even more than Mgt themselves but Honda seems non-serious in improving its sales numbers!! Why is Honda so slow in reacting to feedback from the market & customers!
