A quick tip. Always check the operation of the pallet jack before leaving on your run. Discovering a pallet jack low on oil at the first call can really ruin a great day.
Make sure your employer is ok with you interacting with the camera while the truck is in motion on public roads . RUclipsrs have been fired for doing it
I was kinda thinking the say think but I was gone say you lookin at the camera to much but hell she mite get fired for askin that just don't look at the camera so much
@dennismelton2261 all the simps defending her 😂 I wouldnt be near my phone at all while driving if I got pulled over or if I was in an accident the cops can see all your activity on your phone
About heavy pallets. Use gravity to your advantage. I don't know NA trailers but if it is possible to lower the suspension, then do it and/or rise suspension in semi so the floor will tilt downward towards door. And when loading heavy stuff rise suspension in trailer or lower it in semi. Pallets will roll themselves just don't allow them to go too fast. :)
This was a very satisfying video to watch. Good editing, continuity was perfect, the cargo area shots were interesting, and looking forward to more videos like these. Congratulations Bria. Good job.
Those residential deliveries will be fun. I remember when I did LTL I had to decline a few residentials deliveries because they would give me a 53ft trailer and there was no way it would fit through some of those streets.
Nice job! My only advice is when picking up any drums especially hazmat, always be sure to strap them to the walls. They do tend to shift, plus when they go to break your trailer at the yard, they see that you took the time to secure your load properly...oh yea AND D.O.T. wants to see that stuff strapped FYI..otherwise great video and keep up the videos 👍🏽
Great job Bria , that's exactly what I did for 16 years with Saia I'm retired now but yeah except for the advanced technology every thing is pretty much the same I just hope you did strap those drums containing haz mat other than that excellent job👍
That’s the beauty of having a CDL, you hold the keys to the kingdom. Don’t have to let one company hold you back when another will value you more (financially or otherwise). Good for you!
Hey Bria, really enjoyed seeing behind-the-scenes of your new job. I was curious about what stops the pallet jack from rolling around, between stops. Could you show a close-up sometime? Cheers, Colin 🦘
Thank you! Good question. I use a pallet jack block/stopper. It’s a rubber square that stops the pallet jack from moving around. I will show a close-up next time 👍
I love watching your videos you bring back memories from when I worked at Pitt Ohio express they were very organized with the loading to give you a particular area to run and they have the the same color trucks.
I’ve been a city driver for years. This was a very easy day.I didn’t see one inside delivery or residential deliveries. These LTL companies will send you to do a residential delivery with a 53 foot trailer, they do not care. Or break down multiple pallets of boxes and two wheeler them into a building. All the time screaming at you on the radio hurry up and get to your next stop.
Love the less than truckload pick up and delevery videos Bria. Maybe at some point your company will get you drivers electric pallet jacks....... Riding with Chuck at Estes express had one for his deliveries, less chance of getting hurt and more productive, just a idea.

I have thought about many times joining your company, I just don’t know if I want to do linehaul or if I want to be a city driver. I’m curious what the hours are like linehaul drivers
Yes. I worked at Estes Express for 2 years. These LTL companies require tanker because you’ll be picking up totes of liquid that weighs 100’s of pounds. A few times I had a pick up where they fully loaded my trailer with liquid totes front to back….After so many pallets and pounds of liquid, that’s where it requires tanker.

@@shiggity42 It depends on the product. Sometimes, it's something light, but it's just really long, so you can carry it or use a dolly.

Either a pallet jack chock block, or a strap. The chock has a square in the middle where the wheels drop into. Works great, never had an issue.
