Love the attitude. I try not to think about how many drops I have. One at a time, keep moving, and like dad says, "I'll get there when I get there." Keep posting! Thanks.
You did a great job! I've been in the LTL since 97. I work for Averitt now. I know a lot of men couldn't done what you did. You have a great work ethic. Keep up the good work.
Drove for 35 years then ran a little warehouse (in Fremont) for about 9 years. You are a real professional and have a "no nonsense" approach to getting the job done. I always appreciated my LTL drivers and always tried to help them. As opposed to the long haulers who expected to just sit in their cab while our crew did everything (which we didn't)! Continued success.
The reason we sit in our trucks is because we're hauling a truck load of goods from one destination to another for the most part ,and also I've tried countless time to help but usually before you can say a word you are told to go wait in your truck and they lock the door in your face also most of the warehouse can't let u inside to do anything for work safety reasons God forbid you get injured on site the consequences would be mostly on them for letting you in when you're not an employee
I'm not touching anything in that trailer unless I'm getting paid extra. When I did LTL, I did unload and load at most places because that's literally in the job description.
A coworker was leaning on a bin in the dock inside the warehouse. Forklift driver clip the BIN and knocked him on the floor. This was in Phoenix so on his way back to San Diego he had to stop at Gila Bend because his back started throbbing with pain and he wasn't right since. That's why we're not allowed and some warehouses. He was kind of one of those fuckers that want free money from the government so take that into consideration. Also Budweiser in Van Nuys got tired of paying $50,000 lawsuits from forklift accidents so they made cages for the drivers to keep away from the docks
I'm a city driver with Saia out of Massachusetts. That seems to be a lot of freight. Some stops have 5 to 6 skids. All we can do is take one stop at a time after getting as many pickups as possible. Sometimes, I try to get some pickups before my last delivery. Good job, and stay safe out there!
Appreciate the hard work. I've done p&d and also delivered electrical supplies for 1.5 years. You can put the pallet jack sideways and push it between two pallets in the rear when you're lacking space. It's more for when you have pallets all the way to the door. Just a thought.
As someone with a few trucks in SoCal, work is picking up slowly. We do flatbed loads. We usually run 600-700 miles. One pick and one drop each day. Total of 5 loads per week. Monday to Friday type of deal. Back home on Friday.
Bria you are an amazing woman. Most drivers couldn’t do the workload you had. I drive a flatbed all over Florida. You are an A-1 professional. I’ll be honest with you I haul construction materials all over Florida and Georgia mostly rebar and fasteners. Great job. I’ve done those kinda days when I would have between 10-14 stops and you have to be proficient and everything has to go just right to get things done. Now there are days when things don’t go as planned and that’s alright too. You are a hardworking person and a safe driver. God bless and be safe.
So I’ve looked at SAIA. I’m a female driver. Started four years ago so many people have dropped out of this profession since I got into it. Wanted to put it out there too cement mixer drivers. They’re always hiring good money. It’s so sad for the owner operators right now. A lot of them parked it and are company drivers.
Bria the way you explain things, it’s so amazing I’ll never get bored if I hear you talk the whole day! It’s so clear explanation you do!Upload new videos!
When I worked for Home Depot and we had to move a quarter pallet, we'd stick one fork of the pallet jack in it and do a bit of a balancing act. It was a bit awkward but worked,
I know what you mean. Most of the time, I have to balance it too and it is more difficult dragging it out, but some places have smaller jacks. I always ask if there is any.
Bria, you are a dedicated and hard worker! Kudos to you.Not everyone can drive big semi's.You make it look easy. It looks like they hooked you up with some good Saia merch to wear. Nice lid and shirt! I like how you wear your hat gangster style with the straight brim!
JB Hunt Dedicated Target account is a bit slow here in So Cal, but it's supposed to pick up next month. Great job knocking it out today! Would you consider doing a video on Saia starting pay?
Am an o/o and work with only a handful of brokers running dedicated lanes we follow the produce season in California as of right now it’s slow but when the season is in full swing I just stop by the house to shower and get dinner supper busy
Hey Bria, its good to see you are doing well. I enjoy your videos. You are doing a great job, & you seem to like the LTL work. Great driving too ! Look forward to seeing your next video!
@Bria Trucking Hello briatrucking, I just wanted to take a moment to express how much I appreciate your videos. Your dedication, passion, and commitment are evident in every piece of content you produce. It’s clear that you put your heart and soul into your work and this does not go unnoticed. I am extremely proud of everything you do. I know that each workday can be tough and full of challenges, but you face them with such determination and indomitable spirit. I admire your resilience and your ability to stay positive despite everything. Thanks to people like you, our society continues to progress. Your work is not only appreciated, but it is also a source of inspiration for many. Keep doing what you do, because you are doing a fantastic job. Thank you for everything you do.
Bria, you are cool as a cucumber! That p&d stuff requires nerves of steel, 14 deliveries is insane on one driver but i guess the good thing is you didn't have the dreaded multiple pickups in the same area to mix in with deliveries. Also loading your own trailer full isn't cool given that tight door to get into but keep the faith, LTL is a mixed bag of horrible days and easy days.
Had a place in NM that was like this, it was so dark I couldn't see if the trailer was going straight or anything, I couldn't even see if I was lined up before I started backing.😬
Just started watching your channel. Trying to go to CDL School, I’m learning a lot. Thank you for explaining everything, would like to see backing up more. Drive safe Bria!
The dock workers should of put the placards on the trailer. Rule of thumb hazmat freight goes on the placards go on. Freight comes off the placards come off.
@@brtecson that is not D.O.T compliant. Lets say dockworker loads a skid of dangerous when wet freight and does not placard the trailer, then a fire breaks out and the fire trucks come in and start hosing down the area. This is a potential disaster. When a city driver is on the street the placards go on and off with the movement of the freight. The terminal should be no different.
I am happy to see you again, beautiful and full of energy as usual. You are right, taking some time to arrange the items according to the delivery sequence makes the task smooth. And improvement always continues. I always enjoy watching your videos. May God protect you 🙏✌
I love your videos. My opinion I think you should have a little more urgency to get the deliveries done. I do LTL and if I have 15 or more deliveries I usually knock out at least 8 fairly quick then I relax for the rest of the day
I admire your fluency in speaking. I am trying to learn American English and I am not good at writing English well. I use translation and people often misunderstand me. its a problem
If all human beings had the attitude and patience and approach that you have on a daily it will be amazing. Keep up the good work and thank you for giving us insight on your trade . God bless 🙏🏼
