Congrats. I got my CDL during the pandemic I’m a single mom and had one child still at home. We ended up going on the road 2 yrs. I moved out of California still trucking but local. So nice you’re pursuing your art degree.I paint acrylic. It looks like you haven’t made a video in a while. I hope all is well❤
I’ve been driving OTR for 23 years. Back in march I started driving truck for Amazon night shift 1500 to 3am. I should of done this long time ago, best driving job I’ve had.
that's ok. i wish i had done any driving long time ago and gained experience rather than a desk job where we get laid of so often and get paid less. congrats in your new job. they probably never had this long time ago. at least it's in line with your previous job. safe driving
@@juanapalacios8190 They hire a lot from within the company. I started as a seasonal warehouse worker there, became a permanent employee, then took their career choice program and they gave me a driving job
Hey Larry I was wondering did you start as an employee solely for Amazon or worked as a delivery driver associate with a privately own d freight company working for Amazon? I was hoping if Amazon would still help with my CDL A tuition. Appreciate you 🙏🏽
Great video. No unnecessary talking like other vloggers, informative and to the point. And it's great that you were wearing proper work attire (PPE). Thumbs up👍👍. You have a new subscriber.
9:07-9:20 Modesto, Turlock. Fellow trucker here and I recognized that freeway instantly, lol. I deliver ice and that's my everyday route. I dig the videos. Keep em coming and stay safe out there!
So happy to see more women getting into trucking. I spent the past 6 years working various oil field driving jobs. From frac sand to crude in West Texas and Wyoming. Some of the best drivers were women. Two in particular would drive circles around the guys. A good driver will never be out of work for long.
I wanna get into it but I want to invest in a driver and his van or vehicle and get some money from that..but I’d love to help someone start this process…we can sign a contract..I’ll invest in you…just give back once you’ve made good profits…and we just go from there…so if you make 2000 a week I want like 200 out of that…and just do that and build a big team…maybe even get a gov contract…idk anyone smart enough to hear what I’m saying and take advantage…or they want all the money for themselves… 🤦! Just trying to make some cents here
@Londonismology If you were going to go that route you would have to become a broker finding loads for people. Other than that it wouldn't be worth people time or money paying you that much because margins are tight enough right now.
Great! I am an Amazon seller, and I deeply appreciate you and your team's contribution to the logistics that ensure the goods reach the Amazon warehouse. From product launches to listing and providing service to my customers, I have to handle a lot of tasks every day and coordinate with various departments. Your shipments might even include my products. We are all contributing our efforts to e-commerce. Each era has its own unique characteristics. Just like how TikTok is popular among Generation Z, it's important to follow the trends of the times and do what we should be doing.
Been thinking about trucking for Amazon once I get my license. Things like this help me get a nice insight to prepare me better. Thanks for the POV and stay safe out there!
I work at Amazon Air located in Riverside California and been working with Ramp and Sort for 4 year now and I wanted to be a Amazon driver one day! Thank for making this video! It actually made me think of becoming one eventually just for experience!
What a day! Just came back from SF area so recognize some of the route. You are a competent and terrific driver. Thank you for posting, it was very interesting. Nice to know how things get delivered. I am 81;and women did not get to do things like this when I was younger.
Just got hired on with them here in San Antonio, TX, glad you put out this video to get a better understanding on how it is. If need help i will ask you about it. Be safe, safe travels and keep on trucking🤙🏽❤️
Personally worked pulling for Amazon for over two years. I’ve parted ways since then for personal reasons however for the most part always thought it was a great local driving position. Glad to see someone make a video of their day in the life there. Hopefully get more people wanting to get into the trucking industry 😎👍
Great job on the Driving, Docking and Editing of video. I Subscribed because you did a Nice job with everything we got to see. Keep up strong 💪 effort. 👍🙏
I'm a local delivery driver for Budweiser Aheauser Bush. Have a lot of respect for what u do. To all the truckers out there. God bless. Be safe out there.
I believe it depends on your location/employer. I am currently with an AFP and came in with 5 months of experience. I wish you the best of luck on your trucking journey :)
Great job and Great video. Local is the best, I spent 5 years OTR both company and Owner Operator (Canada/US). I also did 2 years LCV/Turnpike double 53's up here in Canada. Driving a Volvo Daycab locally for an LTL company that I was OTR/LCV with, I can say 100% I would never go back Highway. So good job going Local so early in your career, and working for the AFP fleet vs a third party carrier. Looks like good work, minimal BS. Are the trucks assigned or slip seat? I like how the app, asks how you feel about your schedule!
I like it. Really awesome and fun filled video. I'm working as a Shunt truck driver in Amazon Canada at Milton DC. If you ever get a chance to drop an Amazon load in Milton Canada. I will be glad to meet & host you. All the best & keep doing your best.
Day drivers have it a little harder than Long Haulers IMO without that sleeper section for wait time. Of course the LH'ers aren't home each night. 3 days a week....sweet schedule! Cool info to see somewhat of the "shuffle" my packages go through with the logistics nightmare that must be for Amazon. Great job! Keep driving safe and making sure we all get our stuff quick!
This is amazing, what you guys do is admirable, how everything you do you do it with ease. I've got nothing but respect. I've a friend who does exactly what you do, and she is amazing at it. Thank you for sharing this was truly a good learning experience.

Great video very detailed and easy to understand. R u getting paid by the mile or per hr? Youre very good at driving and organizing the routes. Thank you for showing us your day at work.
Yes they do help you get your CDL you sign a 6 month contract or pay $5k if you break it. After school you go to a finishing school for a week I believe one on one. Then you're in the truck by yourself. I would say be careful I work with an AFP NOW. I called several and some of them are very shady, the company I work with now is idk a bit shady too, trucks are all basically broken... Kingpin doesn't work so I have to manually pull it mind u I weigh 75lbs, so I essentially have to ask others to do it for me I got one day training before they threw me in. I paid for my own CDL bc the AFP were all acting shady telling me Amazon wasn't doing that anymore bc of peak blah blah blah. then one day I was driving and the truck stop accelerating and they made me reset the truck on the side of the highway which is very dangerous then the truck eventually shut off at my stop and they forced me to continue working and set me into the mountains with a fault truck... Yea idk be careful with the company out u go with the plus side is it's home daily out of school.
interesting video im a british trucker but we can only drive a max of 10hr 2 x a week then 2 x9hrs and a 8hr day and no more than 90 hrs in a 2 week period but i do international work uk to spain but need a sleep truck
