Manual seat adjustment always wins. Power or no power, you can still fix your seat position, it’s easy to repair because it’s mechanical, and it’s always soooo much faster to adjust.
Yeah just look at the market...if you just recently got into cars you might not know but cars are selling for massively inflated prices right now due to low supply. If you can avoid buying a car right now you should, but if you can't or you have to sidestep into something more fuel efficient to deal with gas prices be smart and buy something that isn't suffering from some sort of markup and that will hold value because it's desireable. A standard Corolla is going to appeal to a wide audience, a stiffly sprung Corolla with a raspy exhaust isn't.
XSEs in general are rare. When I went shopping for my 2020 Corolla, all I could find was an SE. out of 50 or so SEs there were maybe 2-3 XSEs available at the time, all in colors I hated. I rarely see an XSE Corolla on the road too.
What is the deffinition of „cheap“? Cheap for who? Probably still unaffordable for 50% of US-population. And for the upper 50%, for many it‘s still an expensive investment…
I like how the auto ones move back so you can get in and out easy, but have to agree, manual seats are easy. I never feel more wack, waiting for seat to move forward so I can fit something on the car 😂
What is „low budget“? For who is it cheap? For most people on Earth still unaffordable. Even in rich countries for 50% of population unaffordable or a very expensive investment…
Insight from someone who has driven these: So I daily drove an 07 Civic Si coupe for the past 5 years, but my father got the CVT Corolla apex and I’ve driven it countless times when I got sick of driving stick. A few days ago I bought the new civic sport touring. It’s technically more powerful than the Corolla apex, but it feels bigger and slower (which is fine, I kept the Si lol) If you are interested in the apex, it feels remarkably nimble and light for a modern compact and has the best steering I’ve felt in a modern Toyota, but it’s not as nimble as my old Si and the apex is STIFF. Like entirely unnecessarily stiff. If you want fun, I suggest it over a non-Si civic, but I would be interested to drive the new one.
It's nice to see Toyota's return to sporty offerings. For far too long, they had an amazing race program but made nothing but 4 wheeled appliances for the masses.
Had a 2022 Hot Hatchback of that Corolla but the MPG wasn't where I needed it to be as a daily commuter. Between 24mpg and 28mpg on hwy. Traded it in for a 2022 Corolla Hybrid instead that gets between 55mpg to my high of 59mpg.
I prefer manual seats tbh, they've always seemed easier and faster to adjust.
Yeah, and how often do you need to move your seat anyways.
Absolutely correct!
Same here I prefer manual over auto ... Easy to adjust and fast too.
@@fridgemagnet9831 pretty often i switch with my dad and sister and we are all different heights
@@hyakikano7154 I feel that, when your 5 inches taller than them then you change your seats alot
I love when manufactuers put manual things inside of new cars because its less parts to break and way cheaper
What do you mean manual things? Like seats ? Or the transmission? Lol
@@davsquaredo79 either tbh
the cherry on top would be manual window cranks
@@العقيدمعمرالقذافي-ح4ف honestly!!! We humans are lazy but the truth it does get annoying rolling the windows down haha especially on four door sedans

Genuinely impressed with that exhaust note!
So raspy
Same it sound very good
@@Osprey1994 raspy? It’s just super high pitched. After all it is a 4 banger

@Lt. Rammshteein way to ruin it
Never wanted one but suddenly I love it
That is what a detailed review (short but good) will cause. Seems pretty dang cool to be honest and also sounds very good.
For what it is its a really fun car tbh, i own it at the moment lol and its a head turner alot of people ask me about the car

Great shorts btw 💪
this^ GR just made the apex look like an early 2000s corolla. lol
GR is a Hatchback Apex is a Sedan
GR‘s are not available until October.
@@epicmcgriddle7874 the GR Corolla is available as a sedan I believe

One of best cars reviews and my favorite one i hope see you in 1M sub , i am here since 90k
Bro I love your reviews I love how they're fast paced and full with details!
Oh God here he comes again to make me want to buy a car
I just started watching this guy and I’m developing the same feeling, and I already have a car

Love how he treats a corolla the same way he treats a Lamborghini. Top notch reviews every video.
I wasn’t sure about this until you said manual. That’s awesome.
They are super rare and hard to find. They made 6000 Apex editions and only 120 are manuals
Don't forget the self combustion at random feature
I just purchased one last week loving it
I want oneeee 🥹
How are you liking it now? Thinking about maybe getting one
Is it a good first car? And how long was the apex in production cus I might get an older and cheaper model
Is it awd or fwd?
“If I go from 6th gear to 2nd gear” 😃
Lol 4th st 2nd not 6th
ez money shift 😂
I just watched all your shorts. Im invested in your career love u man
Love your reviews. Fast, to the point and not full of ego or just talking to hear yourself talk
that’s actually sick af 😳
And "Apex" might be a nod to the Toyota AE86 Sprinter GT-APEX
these are gonna be SUPER fun to tune!
This is an SE Apex Edition. There exists an XSE Apex Edition but it’s extremely rare. The spoiler is the easiest way to tell apart on the outside

Thanks for solving a decades old mystery for us, Forrest
Dude the car sounded like a mini two step I love it 😀
“Remember, it’s cheap” 🤣
Cheap is cheerful, expensive means you have to be careful with it and potentially can't enjoy it to full potential

That exhaust is something else
I like the exhaust note and the fact that it has manual transmission
The hatchback version looks so sick
If you aren’t into the tech I would recommend getting a scion tc over this since it makes more power and weighs about the same.
I love this dude's reviews. He has the same level of enthusiasm as he does when reviewing $100k+ cars because we can't all afford 6 figure price tags
I love the looks that Toyota is bringing to the new cars, especially the trd Camry
Nobody commenting on my dude getting fit! Keep it up bro!
This guy makes every car look cool
I love how he man handles all these cars a real review id buy a few of them just from his review alone the quick torture test but nothing to heavy
You clearly have no clue what you’re talking about
I like manual adjustment its better then the slow automatic adjustment
I didn't expect it to have a stick shift. That's actually pretty cool
You shirt solved my question that I had for years
Luv your videos bro, you inspire me to start making car videos too 🔥💯
Toyota have really upped their design game recently. So awesome
This is actually a really good I love your content 👍
This bastard done did it, I love Corolla now 😂
It's like if Doug Demuro made shorts. i love it 👌👌
I really wasn't expecting that exhaust note
Glad to finally have that answered...
If cloth and manual seats are cheap then this is the car for me.
Yo that exhaust note was a surprise...welcome one though
My grandparents both got variations of the corolla. Im tempted to join them
This guy is fully on it
i’m obsessed, totally saving for this

The manual seat was kinda smooth, wouldn't mind, actually like them better tbh...
Why am in love with this lil rice burner!
If you guys are wondering, you can also get a Toyota se with manual transmission.
“Because remember… it’s cheap” 😂😂

Genuine rally car sound at the exhaust! Manual? no Gen Z gonna know how to drive / steal it...
This is a good car btw. Solid option
Sounds pretty good, proceeds to sound like a chain saw starting
Honestly really contemplated on getting one but it’s slow , kinda disappointed they didn’t make it faster considering the price
This what I was asking for reliable, cheap, manual, no shitty electronics, analog gauges and yeah way better.
I have one and I love it!
Honda Boys creaming themselves at that exhaust sound 🤤

The SE model is just as good without the rough riding suspension of the Apex. Just put some super down springs on it.

I’m a fan of analog gauges because that’s one less thing to break technologically
It doesn’t down shift for you it revs the engine for you so it doesn’t get slammed into gear.
This is perfect for new manual drivers and just for fun.
This is the only car that I can possible buy in future
