    So I've been out of school for 11 years this year, and made the decision to start the process of joining the Air Force. I knew I had to take the ASVAB and was terrified. But I was recommended this channel and it has helped me so much. I'm feeling really confident in math and that's something great seeing as how when I was in high school, it was not my strong subject to say the least. Will be watching more videos and taking some practice tests in the next month before taking my ASVAB and I'm feeling really great about it. Thank you so much for taking the time to help so many people!

    Another thing you can do when factoring quadratic equations is use the I-chart. Where you draw a capital I on your paper. You put the product of A x C on top of the I which in that first question would be 1 times -18 which is just -18. You put B on the bottom which is -7. Then you do the same thing with figuring out what multiplies to get the top but also adds to get the bottom. It's a good way of visualizing factoring and making it quicker.

    I'm in my thirties and Grammar Hero is the BEST math teacher I ever had, bar none. I can't even believe how easy he makes it to understand. Although I couldn't prove it, I instinctively felt while in school that there was something wrong with the way they were teaching it, because I wasn't getting it, and now I know I was correct, because the way he teaches makes math, that I came to believe for the longest time was beyond my capacity, SO easy to comprehend. Grammar Hero did the impossible and made me enjoy learning math! If my future children struggle with math in school, I will just show them Grammar Hero and they will undoubtedly excel. Grammar Hero's videos should just replace all math classes throughout the country, and we will have no shortage of math geniuses rivaling any foreign nation.

    I have a question. I'm new here so bear with me
    How can I Tell a problem by its wording? So if it's like a slope intercept form equation what wording am I suppose to look out for? I mean for all problems not just intercept slope form

    • @GrammarHero
      @GrammarHero  3 года назад +1

      On page 9 of my reference sheet (www.asvabapp.com/Reference.pdf ), I have notes about how to write equations of lines.
      1. If you're given the slope of a line and the y-intercept, you can simply plug those values into the slope-intercept equation of a line.
      2. If you're given the slope of a line and a point that's on the line, you can plug those values into the point-slope equation and then solve for y.
      3. If you're given two points on a line, you need to find the slope of the line first and then plug the slope and one of the values from the order pairs into point-slope equation. Then, you have to solve for y.
      In this video here (ruclips.net/video/ODYp-PkJB8w/видео.html ), I discuss everything you need to know to write equations of lines.
      In order to get good at identifying what techniques you can use to solve different problems, you need to practice more. It would also help to familiarize yourself with the formulas in my reference sheet.

    Can y’all help me I took my piCat scored a 57 now I got to go Thursday and take a verified test does my piCat count as my score or will my verified one count

    • @GrammarHero
      @GrammarHero  Год назад

      If you verify your PiCAT score, your score will be a 57. If you get rolled into the full ASVAB, your score will be what you get on the full ASVAB. Sometimes, you randomly get picked to take the full ASVAB after the verification test, so don't worry if that happens. Good luck!

      @@cuzquan546 You won't get a choice. The computer randomly picks who gets rolled into the full ASVAB and who doesn't. As for your second question, you would have to ask your recruiter. Good luck!

      If you look through the comments of this video, you'll see that someone mentioned that they managed to go from a 15 to a 44. In all honesty, there isn't much difference between a 9 and a 15. If you want to pass the test, you should read the "community tab" of my channel for advice as to how you should study. Good luck!

      Yea and u should have have you’re self months like 3 or 4. Hopefully you retake it again and pass. But you need 3 or 4 to pass all the math subjects to get enlisted. Because I believe these videos are helpful. Forcing myself to do only just the hard problems first. Was away to understanding the asvab is basically using jus pemdas or adding subtracting and multiply abs dividing. Knowing these things you can atleast get a 31. And get enlisted. You just got to not to rush yourself. U not dumb u just didn’t know what type of problems are on the test.

    I took the asvab yesterday I made a 33 they told they wanted me to take a conformation test so is there Any advice you can give me.

    • @GrammarHero
      @GrammarHero  3 года назад

      Just so it's clear, your recruiter will have the most current and accurate information regarding testing policies. The following is what I believe to be true.
      Everyone who takes the PiCAT is required to take a verification test to confirm that they didn't cheat on the test at home (e.g., use a calculator).
      Similarly, if you took the ASVAB back to back within the past six months and your score went up by more than 20 points, then you have to take a confirmation test.
      In other words, people who take the PiCAT at home and people who have taken the ASVAB multiple times within a six month period have to jump through a few extra hoops to confirm their scores. It's pretty normal, and it makes the test fair.
      The only advice I can give you is to do your best on your confirmation test; that's really all you can do.
      Good luck!
