    I've started watching your videos after purchasing a book on the ASVAB. Your videos seemed to explain things better! I took the ASVAB 12 years ago, I was attempting to raise my GT score from a 100 to a 110. I only watched your videos, approximately 10 hours over a period of a month! No tutor, no books, etc... Just walked out from taking the test and I'm sitting at a 119 GT score, 77 percentile overall! Thanks for your help!

    Some feedback from JUST THE PAST TWO DAYS! You literally just need to watch the videos in my study guide playlist and then take about 10 practice tests to pass the ASVAB. It's that simple.

    Hey man I just want to say thank you so much for this channel! Your videos made up 90% of my study material for the ASVAB. I took it today and got an 87 AFQT and a 124 GT! Without your help I do not think I would have scored so well. Thanks again. Im a BIG fan of your work.

    Grammar Hero is the man! I got an 80 on my asvab with pretty good line scores. I went from a 40 on the practice asvab to an 80 on the actual asvab, thats a 40 point increase.😀 I studied his videos for a month and took notes on everything. I bought the asvab books but honestly grammar hero's video did more for me than those books did. He just goes so much more in depth and explains it in a way you can understand. If you want to pass your asvab than definitely study up on grammer heros video's!

    I scored an 87 on my asvab. I took it March 8th haven’t got back to you but I thank you for your videos. I went from 23 to an 87. I had waited 6 months due to a lot of recruiters ghosting me !!! I was hurt but I’m so proud of myself. Thank you so much. You are amazing and I took my time but I flew through the math like it was nothing !!!

    Hello Grammar Hero! I don't know if you still remember me, but I took my PICAT 3 weeks ago and verified it yesterday and passed with a 61. Back then I did a self study on and off for a few months took the asvab and ended up with 18. At that time I lost so much hope and confidence. But when I came across your channel you helped me go from 18 to a 61 within 2 months! Guys I am telling you grammar hero is the best, his dedication and hard work really pays off. Thanks a lot of your help I couldn't have done it without you. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!💯💯

    If you have a problem with more than 2 sets of polynomials in parentheses, example: (1x-2)-(5-x)+(3x^2-4+y) do you distribute to just the polynomial right next to the - symbol or do you distribute to all the remaining sets, so the second and third in this example.

    • @GrammarHero
      @GrammarHero  11 месяцев назад

      You follow the order of operations. In for the order of operations, addition and subtraction have equal precedence, you work them out as the appear in the expression from left to right. You only distribute signs that correspond to the terms that are in each set of parentheses, not all of the remaining ones.

    • @GrammarHero
      @GrammarHero  11 месяцев назад

      For example: 6 - (-7) + 5 = 6 + 7 + 5 = 18
      Why would I ever distribute that negative sign to the 5? The same applies to polynomials, but you can have multiple terms inside the parenthesis.

    • @GrammarHero
      @GrammarHero  11 месяцев назад

      For example: x - (-4x + 2) + 10x = x + 4x - 2 + 10x = 15 x - 2

    Can you give me an explanation?
    I thought when simplifying algebraic expressions the largest exponent comes first, then variables, then constants. But I'm getting confused because sometimes I'll see an answer written a^2 + 5a + 4b^2 INSTEAD OF 4b^2 + a^2 + 5a, OR x^4 + z^4 - z^5 INSTEAD OF z^5 being first. Another example, is the problem 3z^2(6xy +4z) = 18xyz^2 + 12z^3 why is the z^2 in the first term after the XY?

    • @GrammarHero
      @GrammarHero  2 года назад +1

      Generally speaking, the highest exponent comes first, then variables, and then constants. In reality, you just want to make sure all of the variables and constants are there in the answer choice. You might see it either way on the test.

    When combining like terms, I always have issue with If subtract or add the terms, any tips?

    • @reconval
      @reconval 12 дней назад

      When you combine, you always add, you are confusing adding negative and positive numbers vice versa.
      Imagine a number line, big tip for me
      Using the number line:
      Negative + Positive = You increase the number towards the right (positive)
      Positive + Negative = You decrease the number towards the left (negative)
      Positive + Positive = im pretty sure u know this
      Negative + Negative = You decrease the number towards the left (negative)
      Ex:
      -4 + 5 = 1
      4 + -5 = -1
      4 + 5 = 9
      -4 + -5 = -9
      Good luck, i also sucked at this before I watched this video :)

    I am wondering if there is a reason you wrote it as 10c+6z and not 6z +10c. the 6z appears first in the equation.

      " I have never been good at math or school subjects"
      Neither have I, but it's my fault, I never applied myself. I always learned just enough to barely pass tests and never practiced so it's no wonder that I'm bad at math. But it doesn't mean that we can't learn it! I hope you do well on your test!
