@@lucapointcom Gb is fingered differently to F#, also they have the “same” pitch. If you are in 19-tone equal temperament, then F# and Gb are a semitone apart.

Ling Ling could definitely play Etude 6 1838 with his right hand and Etude 4 1838 with his left hand. And at tempo too. That’s why you practice 40 hours a day

This really shows how much of a genius Liszt was as an arranger/transcriber. He perfectly captured the melodic essence of the 24th caprice while taking it to a whole new level and expanding it sonically. I don't care what anyone says, his version is a superior piece of music to the original paganini version.
I'd have to respectfully disagree you have a lot more you can do on a piano yet the fact paganini managed to go so hard that people thought he was a man possessed says a lot, he pioneered a whole wave and liszt simply expanded I couldn't call it superior but than again you dont care what any one else says so good day!😊
@@violintegral I prefer Pag 24 on the violin, but Liszt's La Campanella is a far superior piece to the original violin. The range and the bassline do wonders to the piece, and it's not as over cluttered as some of his other Pag transcriptions. He did make about 4 different versions of La Campanella though. The Pag etude #3 version is the most popular and the cleanest. The 1838 version feels much too noisy, and the versions that appear in S420 and S700 only have a few variations.
Not that it isn't impressive but the sound is kind of bad in certain parts... Certainly skilled people but some things aren't meant to go together. 3:11 sounds hilarious.

I think what the violinist is playing is little bit different from original paganini caprice 24. did she editted it? I remember that caprice is so different with liszt's etude version.

this crazy idea can be applied to the remaining 5 paganini Etudes,or even the harder versions transendental etudes after Paganini of 1838 version,or combine Shumann"s etudes Op.3 and Op.10 with the original violin capprices. Come up,as a Liszt worshiper I look forward to hear your further trial.
