Repent and trust in Jesus. We all deserve Hell for our sins, such as lying lusting coveting and more. We can't save ourselves, but Jesus can save us. He died on the cross to save us for our sins and rose from the grave defeating death and Hell. You must put your faith in him only. He is the only way to Heaven. Repent and trust in Jesus.

@@MjrJohnsonn Agreed. I'd imagine those "quasi-interested" people know this Etude as much as the pianist himself - judging how Lugansky plays each variation and each articulation. (Isn't one of the ladies in the background one of the winners of the Chopin competition?) I'd imagine Lugansky would feel even more pressured in front of those "quasi-interested" people, than 5,000 people who'd probably be there just for the flare and technicality of the piece.

Not quite...compared to Lubyantsev, Hamelin slows down in the hard parts (var. 3 and 6 for example); while speeds up losing the tempo (in var 5) and making it at times murky and disjointed. Some subtle points are also missed in the Tema and var 10. (eg sustained notes; demi - semi quavers played as semi quavers). A nice performance nonetheless!
