I would rather play invasions or towers over multi player. But since invasions is so boring, I'm stuck with playing people online and it's a stress if your not good at mortal Kombat 1

Nrs needs to drop mk as a whole or at the least drop this pos and go back to the roots of what made mk so legendary!
The idea of invasions was cool, except they completely ruined it by making it so goddamn repetitive; having to constantly wait for certain types of ingredients to make a good augment feels damn near impossible, and the towers that actually contain the best stuff are fucking way too hard. Personally, Mortal Kombat 1's invasions had become like an empty desert because they made everything so hard to get.
Are they going to replace with something else or multiple things? Like an actual Konquest mode, an actual Krypt or mini games bring back Chess Kombat, Motor Kombat and Puzzle Kombat or a new mini game mode?🤔
I really thought MK1 was going to have konquest mode returning because it had the perfect opportunity to explore the new era and it's remade realms. But I would be SOOOO happy if invasions is finally being scrapped for something else because i cannot take the amount of boredom i feel grinding for that order of darkness skin.
everyone who payed full price and or preordered this game got wrecked. you paid for an incomplete game. and the game is pretty damn boring
I recall when I'd first noticed the Primal Rage arcade machine in the Cage Mansion mesa, a shame it wasn't playable.
I wish Faction War would come back like it was in Mortal Kombat X
The game is dead at this point they have to think in mk 13 if they want save this franchise.
Same shit we were saying in MK11 and look what we got.
Instead of merging timelines and multiverses give me an in game time machine to go back to the 90s where the real Mortal Kombat still exists. Those arcade machines in Cage's mansion only are a cruel reminder of a better time that NRS can't hope to recreate just "remember berry" mine from.
I really hope Invasions goes. I want MK1 to succeed, so if this is true, this would be a great step forward.
Should've had a Shaolin Monks mode or a Beat em up Streets Of Rage/SOR style mode
I think it would be cool to add a mode in Sifu game style. May be even with coop.
I'm not holding out hope. NRS/WB have their head up their ass so far they are convinced Invasions mode is the best thing since sliced bread. My guess is that what they'll do is just restart the seasons. This game has so many problems it's really not worth your time. I've gone back to playing MKX. At least that looks, feels, and plays like an actual MK game.
I gotta admit, it was a nice binge a series and just do combos mode. I started off the game hating it and never going though it completely until Mileena and Raiden season. But Im not interested in Reps. So, what they could do instead is make Invasions a sidescrolling Subzero Mythologies 2.0. Or a Chibi Shaolin Monks Tekken 6 scenario campaign. And man, theres no reason why they have a big map like Shangs island in MK11 and cant make a huge open lobby for fights like SF6 and Tekken8 has.
Shang is mk11 krypt, there gonna lead up to Shang being on his island, in his tower ending he finds the island were mk11 krypt is!!!😊
But where's apep/akiro the krypt guy because this would be B4 his death were in mk11 he died in a krypt trap shown in mk11 aftermath.
Could this hopefully be create a fighter returns and we enter shang's island with our own character 😮
If invasions went I wouldnt play the game at all, I wait for the new season, play through it with the dlc character then have a break until next season as theres nothing else to do 😂
The seasonal tower gives skins as well just in case you did not know.

invasions had good ideas, but I don't want it in mainline MK because it balloons the file size & I never play it. the RPG ideas in invasions should be spun off into its own game or better yet, incorporated into a Shaolin Monks sequel.
I want krypt Tag team mode have all skins That people miss it would find during krypt you find a titan boss you fight them like shalon monks style just for fun

If this is true then thank god. Because invasions mode is such a boring piece of trash that I don't even know how else I can describe it. So yeah, I hope that NRS brings back krypt. Just your regular krypt for unlockable content. And as for replacement for invasions, I personally would wanted a full on konquest mode. From third person view, like in Deception or Armageddon, with two types of fights, like beat'em up fights and actual one on one kombat and with interesting MK world to explore. Could they do this? I think they could. Can they do this for MK1? Well, if NRS wants to then yes, they can. But will they actually do it for real? I don't think so! Because it's NRS. They rather take that konquest mode and make a full game out of it than replacing invasions mode with it. So yeah, I doubt that they will remove invasions mode, but if they do then it will be a right decision. But like I said, they have to replace it with something else, otherwise their game will be half empty. Sure, I know that MK1 is barebones since the beginning, but if they remove Invasions mode then it will be even more empty than it is right now. So yeah, like I said, I doubt that it's gonna happen but it would be a right idea to do so.

Your "shiny new coat of paint" analogy is great. It's what Street FIghter and Tekken do. They bring out the new better looking version of their series every 5 or so years but at their core they are still the games they were in the 90s that we all love. MK does the opposite they try to pass off something that isn't Mortal Kombat half the time and plays nothing like even the last game they made.
Mf needs to bring TAG TEAM MODE! 😒 Get rid of that support shit!
Maybe they drop Invasions and Warrior Shrine is the new Krypt.
Cage Mansion was supposed to be a special place inside Invasions.
I found they (at least) tried arcade emulation in there (MK II)
Besides just the tutorial there is evidence of diferent events taking place in there too:
- October (Halloween)
- December
- July

We should just call this Mortal Kombat "Mortal Kombat: Invasions." Let it be saddled with all its awfulness that differentiate it from the real Mortal Kombat 1 and MK9.
yea the game shoulda been called MK: Invasions. the whole plot is literally shang tsung invading the new timeline. another L for NRS
after seeing the reveal trailer i was certain mk1 (rubbish name) would have a konquest mode like deception. invasions is definitely the worst mode they have added into any mk game. i forced myself through 1 mesa for the platinum trophy and it was a boring grind. hope its canned asap.
at this point I honestly don't care what they do cause I don't even play the boring crap anymore lol

Invasions is BS . Such a waste .plus u have to unlock all the islands that r locked???. WTF??? . I play the tower mode that changes constantly, But that,s it . Why u have to grind so hard for? 😮 just for the season to end and grind more?? This is the final MK for me .i,m happy to have X , MK11and MK1 .no more money from me i,m done.

Nobody really knows exactly what it is. But I heard that it could be a area where we can hide stuff that will gain currency the longer that it is hidden and we can set traps if other players try to find it. And maybe there will be chest there we can open.

I dont want them to get rid of Invasions as a whole but to just improve it. I like the stats and stuff. Its closest to augment system in MK11. The new multiversal story stuff is interesting. I agree each mesa shouldve played like MK11 Krypt. The on the rails system doesnt really let you explore how they advertised. Unfortunately the mode gets boring fast and if they do decide to get rid of it. The rewards need to be greatly improved for people to want to put time into it. MK11 Towers of Time you would unlock something after every tower. Im gonna stop. I can go on and on about this because I enjoy this gane and want the best for it. The downside is NRS and WB clearly arent listening and it sucks

Did a mortal kombat 9 review that’s up and with a food review as well, I will be dropping an injustice 1 review, because of these guy, I pushed myself to play and get through some more challenging fighting games.
