    Excellent video. I've watched it several times and return to it often as I am trying some of your techniques on my own D.III that's going into a Wingnut Roland C.II. Thank you for taking the time to make it!

    Didn't think it was possible to improve a WINGNUT kit but you've proved that theory wrong, your detailing is amazing. Well done.

    Brilliant detail. I build a lot of race car engines so I know the amount amount of research went into this. I build derailed top fuel engines and know what all the fine work entails. So well done.

    That is some amazing modeling, the valve springs alone set it off

    What a fantastic, detailed build.👍👌😁
    Looking at the final glamour shots, it's impossible to tell the size of the engine, without your hands to add scale to the view. With the amount of detail you've crammed in, this could almost be a full-size engine.👍

    I really like the effect you got with the drybrushed metallic on the crankcase. Kind of like a shaded look. One more method to try out :). Super nice engine!

Metal and rust effects are stunning. Congratulations. Since I am looking your videos, I cut the sound... to hear another music... Last LOL ... Waooh ! Your videos are a lot of fun.

    Just came across this video series a couple of days ago...
    I am overwhelmed by the level of detail you have added, truly amazing! Definitely things here I'm going to attempt on my Wingnuts Wings models.
    I'm just wondering where you found the .5 diameter brass pipe? I have been googling this and can't seem to find anything even remotely close.
    Thanks

    • @Scaleaton
      @Scaleaton  3 года назад

      I bought mines from Lucky Models. It's Griffon Model's brass pipe. Also you can find in BNA Model World store in any diameter. Like this www.bnamodelworld.com/hobby-tools-supplies-materials-et-models-et-t-015

    Fantastic job. I see you do a lot of painting before you glue parts together with tamiya extra thin, do you scrape off the paint or does the solvent eat through the paint and bond the parts together?

    • @Scaleaton
      @Scaleaton  6 лет назад

      Thank you! It's MEK in the Tamiya bottle. It's welding parts together no matter painted or not. Just needs some experience with painted parts.

    • @evilscience3164

      That is very interesting! I will try this out. This is going to be a valuable technique for me and hopefully others who read this.
      Thank you for taking the time to respond.

    Hi I would like to try the dry brushing technique on a 1/12 scale engine. but would it be just as effective do you think?

    • @Scaleaton
      @Scaleaton  2 года назад

      I don't think so. Different weathering techniques would be better on that scale.

    Turn the volume down on your intro...please!

    • @Scaleaton
      @Scaleaton  7 лет назад

      This is first feedback about it. I will do that, thank you.

    • @JuanAdam12
      @JuanAdam12 7 лет назад

      I asked once before about turing down the volume and you said you would then, too. It's your channel, your choice of course. But the volume level for that sound effect is so loud that when it starts playing i have to jump for my tv remote to turn it down.

    • @Scaleaton
      @Scaleaton  7 лет назад

      Oh i understand now. Yes, i assumed it was jet engine sound and i replaced with guitar sound. I will reduce intro sound %25 Thanks for the feedback!

    • @JuanAdam12
      @JuanAdam12 7 лет назад

      No, it's not the guitar. It's the kids screaming "Yay!" It's always been at a much higher volume than your music. Even when I have the volume turned down on my TV it's too loud. My cat ran out of the room when I played your video the other night.
