    Except the smart room sensor has to connect via wire to the connect box. This really limits installation applications. My connect box is mounted in the wall behind the TV. How come Samsung’s frames work with the built in sensors but your frames do not?

      Yes that can be a limitation, but we have seen people place the SRS unit tucked partially behind the frame between the wall and the frame with the radar bar just barely below the frame (much like the original TV sensor does) and it's worked pretty well. The reason Samsung's frames do not block the sensor is at that edge their frames are only 1/8" thick. All of our frames are a larger frame to make a bigger impact on the overall decor. Our Alloy Collection of frames are 1.5" wide and the Premiere Collection are 3"+. This would the case with all any market frame for The Frame TVs. The only way around this would be to cut roughly a 1" square hold in the face of the frame to allow enough light in from all angles which would be quite an unattractive look we believe.

    Is this compatible with the 2023 version of the Samsung Frame (43")?

    Does this provide any "IR blaster"-=type functionality? I've noticed since using your product that using my Fire TV remote which also controlled volume on my HDMI eARC "soundbar" no longer picks up any IR signals from the Fire TV remote.
    Any input would be helpful. Thanks.

      There is not an IR emitter in this device that would blast IR outward into the room. The device is solely designed to plug into the EX-Link port on the back of the Samsung TV which would only communicate with the TV's firmware and not any other third party devices such as a Fire TV. We do have our IR-3 device which is an IR receiver and emitter to you can attach on of the IR emitters onto a third party devices IR receiving eye.

      @@DecoTVFrames thank you. Is this IR-3 device compatible with a 2022 Frame? Thanks.

    So all your frames block the sensors?

    • @DecoTVFrames
      @DecoTVFrames  8 месяцев назад

      Yes, there is no way to make the frame without blocking the sensors. All of our moldings are a minimum of 1.5" wide so even if we were to cut a 1" diameter hole in the face of the frame, a shadow would still be cast on the sensor for ambient brightness. The SRS-2 is the best workaround solution.

    Thank you, this is super useful and way more detailed than any of the other videos I've seen on this topic!

    Interested in purchasing. Does this adjust the brightness in Art Mode? In your website it says
    " * Due to limitations in the TV's firmware, Samsung does not give us the ability to adjust the brightness of the artwork in Art Mode. We can only adjust the screen brightness when in TV mode. "
    Without the bezel on, i see that the adaptive brightness works in Art Mode. Are you saying the SRS2 cannot adjust it?

    • @DecoTVFrames
      @DecoTVFrames  8 месяцев назад

      This is correct, with the way the Samsung firmware is written there is not a dedicated command for us to be able to adjust art brightness in art mode. We remain hopeful that some day Samsung will give us a command we can use for this. The SRS-2 already has the hardware for art brightness built-in when so we can just release a firmware update to add this feature to the SRS-2. The SRS-2 does currently adjust TV brightness in TV watching mode, but not in Art Mode.

    Is this SRS-2 included with your frames or can it be purchased separately?

      The SRS-2 is purchased separately as an optional accessory.

    Very interesting. Will this work with the 32" models as well which don't have the sensors in the first place?

    • @DecoTVFrames
      @DecoTVFrames  11 месяцев назад

      It should, but I'm not 100% sure off hand. I'll check with engineering.

    Why don’t they just let you set a schedule for day and night to adjust the picture how you like it. All these sensors are too complicated.

      Great idea! We'll reach out to our contacts at Samsung with that feedback.

      It is a smart TV and surely knows sunrise and sunset times. This is seriously the worst problem with this TV. I can make it look realistic until it gets dark and then its too bright. Hope we can get it fixed. Thanks for your reply. @@DecoTVFrames

      @@UnboxWarehouse That's also a really good point... the manual mode could be prepopulated with a checkbox for sunrise/sunset. Would be a nice advanced feature for the firmware.
