Colin discovers early 70's British glam rock, love it!
When Colin Meloy goes and fixes the sax mike and then gives him a back rub, I feel like I know why I love this band so much. So many reasons.
Life goal: Get a shoulder rub from Colin Meloy while performing a sax solo on stage in front of thousands.

Love this track and the whole new album! Keeps that eclectic poetry we know and love. But the new sound really gives us something to chew on. Feels this one in my bones.

Oskar Neuburger No, by The Decemberists, lol. It’s from their last EP called Florasongs. It’s got the same kind of sound as We All Die Young. ☺️ It was kind of like a preview of what they would be doing on this album.

I actually kind of agree with the Pitchfork review, that IBYG is a kids album. Not children but teens and young adults. It's the kind of thing I would've loved from them when I was 16.

Sadly my least favorite album of theirs. I hope they return to The Decemberists of yore for their future album(s). That's The Decemberists I fell in love with.
