May 2024...who's with me ???
Love this song
🤘🏼
Here from Italy😊❤
🤟🏼
Always
Jen was at the height of her cuteness and beauty for this movie.
omg....100% delicious
Hell no, she is way post-wall here.
She was at her peak in quantum leap.
Office space Jen that's the one.
She looked like a Muppet.
I was thinking the same thing. Here it is all these years later and she still hasn’t aged hardly at all. Beautiful example of womanhood.
Best part of the Movie.
The whole movie was good lol
If this scene doesn't give you goosebumps, you might not have a soul
This movie is a hidden gem!
Hell ya it is
On of my all time favorite movies he has ever done!
This is the most fake movie ever made lol.
@@speedracerjeff it’s based on a true story. So, not really fake.
@@speedracerjeffwell, most movies are made of make believe subject matter, so there's that.
The singer is Milijenko Matijevic from Steelheart. He wrote this song as well. One of the best rock singers ever.
Then why nobody ever heard of him?
Steelheart played at Ohio bike week two years ago it was a fantastic show
@@nicholasmuro1742 - They were #1 in Asia.
@@CerealDust-nStuff
Ok. Not so big here tho
@@nicholasmuro1742 - They probably would have been big here but they opened up for Slaughter at the start of a big American tour, and a scaffolding came down and crushed the lead singer's spine.
Rock Star and Almost Famous - two stellar movies portraying fictitious rock bands.
I have lost count how many times I have watched this movie. No doubt I will watch it again.
Definitely one of the more underrated movies of recent..... really like it though
Hi... Hows your life after 11 years... Just curious
Rock Star is a seriously underrated film - the Steel Dragon concerts are on point for the era
Definitely nearing the end of an era. Tough to see this movie getting made just a few years later. I don't know exactly when the culture moved on from arena rock but it was not long after this.
nah. It wasn't very good. Nowhere near biopic worthy.
As a former musician, this one cringe worthy movie. Not once do people think one way of you, then just flip their impression of you because you say you're in a band.
Rock Star is a great movie
I love this movie very much 🤘😛🤘🔥🔥
I've always loved the change at , "it makes my stomach turn!" A song with a wide range of singing styles for sure. Great scene.
LOL
First time I saw the movie u got chills I love this movie
I get goosebumps every time I watch this scene. Every time.
"YOU got the TOUCH! You got the POWERRRR - YEAH!"
+Doug Chase Were we rolling on the rehearsal?
+Jiggley Krowzer "Speed it up a couple octaves..." "I can SMELL a single!!"
LOL wrong movie dude! but good call
Dirk diggler lol

Great movie. One of Wahlberg’s best performances.
The dream that we guys all dream of... A chance at greatness, and a girl that's got our back, through thick and thin.
You have to actually be great for that dream to materialize. Even then, it's a huge uphill climb.
i love that everything in this movie is passed over. Its ours who appreieate the era, the music and the the context. Happy to have it to ourselves.
I still watch this movie in 2024 -- Jen is/was perfection - this felt like a movie of a dream I lived - too old now but I had chops and didnt know how to get over my nerves.
Mark Wahlberg relly awesome in this movie
yes i do love this song why i don`t ??
He was good, but that wasn't him singing. It was Miljenko Matijevic, the lead singer from Steelheart.
Mishari Mohammed j
UofMichFan It was in him singing in certain instances. I believe this audition was walburg but the concert wasn't. That's why if listen closely to the movie, you'll notice it sometimes sounds different.
Mishari Mohammed he killed it!!
I like the little smile Jennifer Anniston gives at 1:29 when she realizes he's going to nail it this time.
McNulty in a wig is pure hilarity!
lol
+hermitgamer Holy shit that IS McNulty....
Waiting for him to say "what the fuck did I do?"
Yep, The Wire FTW
Its McNutty!

Having Jeff Pilson, Zak Wylde and Jason Bonham makes this movie so cool for us true "METAL HEADS" rock on!
Such an underrated film. I tell all my friends they need to watch this film all the time
Overrated and fake af…
@@speedracerjeff away and jerk off too cars ya 4 eyed peado
I remember this scene specifically out of no where. I was just at work and this scene popped up. But I remember watching this movie yearsssss ago when I was younger lol. Such a great movie
This is the movie that finally changed my mind about Mark Whalberg.
I never get tired of that scene. 🤘🏻 🤘🏻
Best scene from the movie Rockstar 🤘🏻😎🤟🏻
Saw this movie in the theater in 2001. It was immediately after 9/11, within a week maybe. It has always had this unique comfort for me.
Same. One of my all time favorites. I've seen it, at least, dozens of times
This movie about the 80s hair bands TAKES me back to to the 80s when the hair bands started being played on heavy rotation on 97.5 WABB here in Mobile Alabama.
I was 17 years old in 1986 & playing in probably 4-5 hair band garage bands.
When this movie came out in 2000 I couldn't wait to go see it at the movies.
This is the best scene of the movie to me...all I could do is smile when he was offered the gig.
I'm a cross-country truck driver now for over 20 years...and I still listen to my 80s hair bands...if I live to be 80...i'll still be an 80s headbanger.
Scorpions
Iron Maiden
Motley Crue
Quiet Riot
Ozzy
Judas Priest
Cinderella
Kiss
Dio
W.A.S.P
Ratt
Dokken
Van Halen
G-N-R
White Snake
And I COULD GO ON AND ON.
Nice list! Keep rockin'!
Back in the 80's for me i had the sunday night sermon on some station coming from a university.Started off with Ozzys Ironman and from there many on that list and more. Its not the norm for a black teen to be into metal but its my first choice in music. My first album i ever paid for was the ultimate Sin(ozzy).Todays metal is kinda blah mostly but nothing compares to those 80's bands in their prime.I love me some jazz,r&b,hiphop, dancehall, country, bigband, etc etc.....But long live rock&roll.
I'm assuming you meant Roth era Van Halen
Only Roth era Van Halen....if not you must be a narc.
The shot of the band behind the glass at 3:03 features from right to left: Jeff Pilson, Jason Bonham and Zakk Wilde - an amazing lineup!
This movie looks so authentic like it was really in the 80s 🤟😎🤟 ..I love this song very much
Dirk Diggler was awesome in this movie
Can you imagine what it would be like for a rock band to say well mate you got the gig, this was one of Mark Walburgs best movies, and very underrated, this movie is one you can watch over and over and never get tired of it.
Everything that has ever happened is underrated
Agreed!
That would never happen to me, because I would never join a band that was already formed, famous or not, I gots to be in on the ground floor.
@@MrParkerman6 Which is why you will be commenting on youtube videos for the rest of your life.
@@MrParkerman6 Dude, AC/DC, Van Halen, hell even Queen replaced their singers. You'd have to be a complete moron not to join a well established arena touring band that has albums out.
A great movie that represented the 80's..man, the memories.
Love this part
Such a powerful and bad ass part of the movie! I'm gonna watch it after work!
one of my favorite movies ever!! we all die young!
Fantastic movie!
Such a great song ❤
Holding the last note sold me. LOL. The best part of this movie though is the ending. 😊
“So, ya want the gig, then?” Priceless!
One of my favorite movies of all time
It portrays the reality behind the curtains very well... contracts etc... school for me
This is my “comfort” movie.
A girl like that telling you "I LOVE YOU" when you're nervous as heck during the biggest audition of your life for your top dream job - What more do you need?!😍👌🏽
An ice cream !!!
The job.
If you're Marky Mark, ya probably need a LOT more help than that
A night with the assistant with male equipment?
Your mom!
One of Mark's greatest movie characters. After fame, drugs, booze, & millions.💵his character finally realized what was really important in life. Family, his roots & real love. I really liked his character. Also, "The Perfect Storm" was a tearjerker. His last words were so true. "There's no Goodbye, only love" 🙏🏻💞
The voice actually belongs to Miljenko Matijevic
Greatest scene in the film, along with the first concert. Anyone who's struggled to build their dream can relate to this. I'm a film composer and this is like the moment after I spent 15 to 20 years struggling on small projects, working crappy side jobs to stay alive, then after doing an interview on that series or film you REALLY want.....you get that call, and they say...'You've got the gig". Nothing compares to that feeling. Changes your life.
So, “What’s the film you are scoring- and who’s the director?”
Yes, what did you score?
Glad things worked out for you mate
I fully agree. I started out mopping the floor just like you guys. But now… now I'm washing lettuce. Soon I'll be on fries; then the grill. In a year or two, I'll make assistant manager, and that's when the big bucks start rolling in.
@@ericfermin8347👍😎
The Great Louie Anderson ... RIP
The one Iead band member turns to the others with a 'holy shit' look & the 1st member to reply is shaking his head 'we ain't gettin' better than that!"
Loved that movie and Mark and Jennifer!
Got this feeling in 2006 when I was asked to sing with Ian Gillan being the winner of the Smoke This Contest. I’ll never forget the Sunday call from John Trickett that I won and was being flown out to Vegas. Life changing experience and very grateful to be on stage with a legend.
Cool.
Did you join Deep Purple after that gig?
I had same feeling while sing karaoke first time, amazed my friend!
the best part of my favorite movie
this movie was in 2001... 6 years later (2007), Arnel Pineda was discovered by Journey, and Tommy Decarlo joined Boston, 2017 Ronnie Platt joined Kansas.
To these guys, fairy tale is real...
Seeing Michael Starr from steel panther walking out before him makes me laugh every time I watch this movie
Holy shit!!!
Death to all but metal!
Get a girl that looks at you the way she looked at him
Can you imagine?! THAT FEELING
“WELL MATE DO YOU WANT THE GIG THEN?”
🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I had the honor of seeing Kenny Kanowski (Steelheart Co-Writer, Guitarist, and eventual Lead Vocalist) perform this song with Chilin Sun in his home town of Buffalo NY. RIP Kenny.
One of the best "under the radar" movies ever.
still listen to this every goddamn day
Your right that part is the best!
Great acting on everyone's part. Dominic West was outstanding here too. The scene is great because it seems so real.
Great scene. "So, do you want the gig then?" - Classic.
Still one of my favorite Wahlberg movies, next to Departed and Four Brothers.
+Al Czervik to each his own
Al Czervik that movie is great!
Al Czervik what! Four Brothers is so rad! You dumb! Plus it is absolutely better than Rock Star - don’t even try n argue that.
all 3 are ass-trash, mate
The Big Hit is also a good movie
this scene still gives me chills
i've been looking for this song for sooooo long!
so glad my mom let me watch this all those years ago
This is one of the greatest scenes in cinema history.
More people need to watch this movie. An all time great from my childhood
I love rock like this pure emotion yet filled with adrenaline amazing
Feels good to have Jimmy McNulty from the Wire tell you you got the gig.
Movie in my heart!!!😣😣😣😣
Miljenko Matijevic crushed this performance HARD. Amazing vocalist and incredible song...just a perfect cinema moment right here.
To be fair, he crushes every performance hard
His vocals on "I'll Never Let You Go" is unparalleled.
It's very good, Guiffria "Call to Your Heart" is right up to there though
Mili's a good buddy of mine. Stay tuned for his newest release!
No, it's obviously Mark Wahlberg singing.
I was schooled on metal like this, and though those days are long behind me, this scene takes me right back there every time. Nailed it.
"I'll never let you go" has one of the best rock screams in the history of the universe. Steelheart.
Long live the 80s!
Had the chance to meet Mike before he was famous with still heart ❤️
The moment Ripper Owens gets the gig.
Can't believe that this came out 21 years ago.......enjoy your life my friends.
Miljenko Matijevic is the voice behind this.
Yes, it is a very good movie and the Soundtrack are awesome!.. Thanks for the clarification on the voice (singer) because I always thought maybe was Mark.
Bye
This was the best scene in the movie.
I ve been looking for this for years
Favorite part of the movie. (Nervous, disappointed, love, confidence, elation). All the emotions in a short tryout. Excellence.
The scene and the vocals still give me chills.
Mike from steelheart 😊✌️
@@mumu5013 This is not marky mark singing. It’s actually this guy….
Miljenko Matijevic
It's convincing though
LoL that you actually think he's singing
this movie and the dirt will always be my all time favourate
Good jam awesome 🤘😆🤘
This whole scene was one of the best of the movie. The part right before this where the lead singer who is being kicked out of the band gives "Izzy" a reality check about what it really takes to be him is great.
1:13 one person to believe makes all the difference
Holy damn, Jennifer's gorgeous in the scene. How have I not seen this movie?
My favourite music ensemble movie of all time I so absolutely love it!!!!!!!!
This movie is so way too UNDERRATED!!!!!!!!
The people who think this is Mark Wahlberg's voice...I can't even. The vocals for ALL his Steel Dragon songs were sung by Steelheart frontman Miljenko Matijevic. "We All Die Young" is in fact a Steelheart song. This is just a harder, more up-tempo version of the '96 original. The only actor in the entire movie whose actual singing voice is featured is Myles Kennedy, the singer who Wahlberg pulls on stage toward the end of the movie to replace him. But Myles of course was already a real-life rock star.
I believe Jeff Scott Soto had a hand in some of the vocals as well.
I loved this movie and I love this scene. It gives me goosebumps every time I see it. I love the music in this movie.
I feel the same way, I watch this clip all the time.
Legendary
Still get goosebumps when i here that song!
Loved this movie! Especially this scene.
Definitely the best part.
Aniston was so pretty in this film...Underrated movie
My favorite Wahlberg film. Moral of the story: be careful of what you wish for.
Thats it. Thanks to this song, I have decided to quit university and pre-med (I was planning to become a brain surgeon), and I will pursue a career in heavy metal singing. ROCK & RoLLLLLLLLLLLLLL !!!! YEAH !!!!!!!!!!!!
Do both!
How’d it go
@@Kado_Tornado Not so good. Looking for work. Nobody hiring heavy metal wannabes. Life choices matter.
Awesome!
Loved this movie ❤ reminded me when I was a kid and played in a band , best times
this scene rocks...best in the movie...such an underrated movie
scene still gives me the chills everytime, serious underrated movie. tho i love heavy metal/hard rock heh
This movie is little known and it’s still overrated. It sucks balls
Ironically, mark wahlberg hates metal. He was into hip hop hahahaha. Can you imagine how hard it was for him.
@@alfaharahap He made that known during filming and promoting the movie. It was a fun movie though.
I 2nd that!
Any metal fan who was a teenager in the eighties can appreciate this movie, I for one loved it
Her look is Legit and Dang try to Imagine her telling you or me that-- shivers hit me
Such an awesome movie.. Love it !!
Zakk wyldes harmonics are unmistakably awesome
I’m not a metal guy, but I love this movie! Outside of Boogie Nights, this is one of Mark’s best performances. Love this scene!!
I like all types of music and I agree with you
This isn't metal. :) But it's a badass movie and song and I love Jennifer.
great actor, but not his voice....and not his dick either.
..oh well
Not metal, hard rock ballad maybe? But I feel ya. I felt the same way watching Straight outta Compton...never was much into that scene but the soundtrack was killer and performances by the actors were very good.
Movie is so underrated
I watch this almost once a week, Love it!
