The weapon Gogo uses is a Meteor Hammer. It's the perfect countermeasure for a sword as clearly shown here. It's main drawback is it's extremely difficult to use as you have to keep it in constant motion, by whatever means necessary, to be affective. It's also unpredictable and can be just as dangerous for the wielder as the person it's being used against...the perfect weapon for someone insane like her.
The perfect weapon against a sword is a spear, and thats excluding things like projectile weapons. Sure, a morning star arrangement is terrifying, but so is getting stabbed to death by someone you can't close with, and that's why spears are the king of all weapons until some complete bastard invented the gun.
the way she disarms beatrice and immediately attacks are just signs that gogo has beaten many fighters with swords still my all time villain from any movie ever lol
That weapon (called a Meteor Hammer) was specifically designed to be used against swords. The obvious downsides of the weapon are that it has to be constantly in motion to be of any use whatsoever, and that you need to really know what you're doing and how to properly use it or you'll just end up injuring or killing yourself with it more so than many other weapons.
I think Beatrix had a much harder time against gogo because she was an unforeseen obstacle and not on her kill list. Yes, beatrix has killed many people, but hasn’t fought many ‘next-gen’ assassins. Gogo had the most unorthodox fighting style/weapon to try and combat on short notice.
i think she just didnt want to readily kill a 17 year old girl who she didnt personally have beef with... at 4:30 she could have easily just pointed her sword towards gogo and let her pull beatrix into her and impale herself... the whole point of a ranged weapon is to keep your melee opponent at range, not grab them and pull them into yourself lol
I love The Bride’s reaction after she strikes Gogo. The triumph disappearing in a second to the “oh shit” realization that she turned a teenagers brain into Gogogurt.

Might have something to do with the story Of Musashi Miyamoto, one of the best swordsman in history. Either way I thought this scene was a callback about how sword users are at a disadvantage against chain weapon wielders.
@@mykellederickpalad7883 every chain based weapon is aimed towards unarm the oponent, so yeah, makes sense. Chained weapons were very used unlike what is shown in the movies.
Gogo's weapon is terrifying. If it weren't for plot armor, the two hits she took to the chest at 4:25 should have been enough to break her ribs, crush her lungs, and/or cause severe heart damage, completely incapacitating her and ending the fight. I mean, if the weapon was heavy enough to take a chunk out of thick wooden pillars (4:18), how did her unprotected chest endure two hits? Now, this also means Gogo shouldn’t have been able to get up after the blow to the head later on (5:14). But Gogo out-skilled her and landed the first strike, and one hit from that weapon should have been all it took. In my eyes, Gogo is the real winner.

This movie feels like an anime turned into a live action movie. A seinen one, without ever having existed in the first place
have you seen the whole movie? theres an anime sequence thats legendary. they could’ve made another movie completely out of that scene
Beatrix gave Gogo a chance to lay down her arms and just walk away. Her death was her own doing.
thats one of the most stupid comments
Well If an someone invaded your place and plans on killing someone your loyal to, are you really telling me your going to walk away? wow..... The proper response is to give the intruder a chance to walk away if not.... Don't bring an outdated weapon, bring a firearm.
Also I’m pretty sure that she enjoys her job too much, most people do their job because it’s their job but I always got the impression that she mostly does it because it gave her an excuse to let her dark impulses out, maybe getting paid for it was just a convenience.

Only in the bedroom, Not in combat Unfortunately 😅.

Gogo stay by my side...forever...as a tattoo. I´m so proud for that the tattoo artist did a great job
Gogo was such a badass with that weapon !
Gogo can rip a HUGE WET FART in my mouth--ANYTIME. And I'll even ask for 2nds.
I love how Beatrix was pretty much saying, “Gogo, I know you want to protect your girl but, baby, this ain’t what you want”
20 years later, Gogo reincarnated to be a woman falling in love with beer and good food each night. She now has her own food TV series in Japan. That knife skill comes in handy. 😁😁
That's amazing, thanks for the info

Tarantino is one of those directors that understand anime and respect all of it to render tribute. Not like dragon ball evolution or the grudge trying to Americanize something
Grudge actually was made by the same director and writer of the original Japanese movie
The grudge was AMAZING
Dragon ball evolution really s*CKS
This movie probably better wouldn't existed
@@skaladarrellgodeater1070dragon ball evolution was shit and also avatar
Not bad.........
KIDDING!! 😂 , That was one of the best fight scenes ever, especially the ball and chain weapon 😮
That walk still gives me goosebumps every time. Iconic.
Masterful fight scene. Gogo fought well. Pai Mai would have been proud of his star pupil.
トンデモ日本感、、絶対に辞めないで欲しい
I was so in love with the GoGo actress when I first watched Kill Bill (when it was aired in movie theatres)
She needs her own movie.
2:05 Humans have never had to deal with natural predators from above, hence they tend to never look up. You'd be amazed how many times I've done this playing CTF in video games.
large birds used to hunt humans, they could easily pick up and carry small children and even adults

Gogo got nailed.
I love, even with how psycho and blood-thirsty she is....She still politely covers her mouth while giggling
As a martial artist, the ball & chain is surprisingly the most dangerous weapon if used correctly & by the right person.
no, a gun beats it easily
@@scottmatheson3346 that’s true but the meteor hammer (I think that’s what it’s called) looks cool so it gets extra points
@@scottmatheson3346 true, but a missile strike beats guns as well.
Meteor Hammer is an insanely hard weapon to use, and Gogo would have killed Beatrix if it wasn't for a well placed chair leg with nails in it.

The protruding nails penetrating is quite realistic. The quick and succinct crunching sound of skull is to be commended. Details matter.
Gogo, Uma and Lucy are so freaking pretty!!!
My favorite Gogó move is when she swings the steel ball twice around herself 5:30 to propel it right before her masterful blow that looked like the end of Beatrice
