You can’t motivate athletes. They must motivate themselves. Waste of oxygen this speech. Ask Deion. Works for a couple of months and that’s it. His athletes would enter the portal if they could. 😂
These are pro athletes not college kids lol
and a great coach finds a way to get their athletes to motivate themselves. that was the point, coach was reminding his runners how they got there and how easily it could all be taken away.

Brother, even the best most self-motivated athletes get distracted. A good coach, like this fella here, can see when someone is slipping and they know they’re gonna regret it when they show up to the big race flat and underperforming. When you work as hard as pros do, you need moral support.
