Glad to see I'm not the only onne who can't stand the music.
It made me consider shooting myself....
I just started the video as I type this and I am already annoyed. 😖
The music didn’t bug me until I read the comments😂
Turn up the music I can still hear you
Ricky None lmfao
😂😂😂
Bro he just liked my comment saying this😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂🙌👏
LMFAO between the loud music the sound of the car running and him taking I feel like I’m going insane
This video helped me reach the epiphany that Arrma was a legitimate brand. I have no regrets adding the Kraton to the collection.
Whether you're a Traxxas, Arrma, Losi , HPI or other fanboy, if you limit yourself to 1 brand you truly are missing out
That is completely irrelevant to the video, how can someone come to any conclusion about brand legitimacy with a comparison of 2 different style trucks? ....
@@DashzRight arrma kraton v3 vs e revo 2.0. Read the tittle? Arrma made it name with the kraton 6s.
Great Comparison Video. You could leave the music out the next time though.
Yes way to loud!!!
Thank God Simone else noticed that. I almost wristwatch g because it was loud and distracting
or just reduce gain another -6db and you should be good
That music makes me want to pour gasoline on my head and light it.
exactly. Here for the info. Insignificant distractions aren't worth mentioning. The music makes the video pro.
Who the hell decided background music was a good idea?
S H WHAT? SPEAK UP I CANT HEAR YOU
Great comparison ! But please lose the music, it's way too loud and distracting, as others have said !
Great video ... thank you! After watching countless videos, I am planning to get my husband the EREVO 2.0 and my son an Arrma Keaton 6s. Thanks again.
Wow, what great gifts! That is exciting to know. They're going to be so excited to see those trucks! I'm excited for them.
One thing to note about those two selections, Traxxas vehicles use their proprietary battery connector, so you will have to buy their batteries, and battery charger. If you cut the connector off and replace it with something different, you void their warranty. With the Kraton, you can use any batteries, any chargers, as long as it has an EC5 connector. And if you want to change that to something different, you can without worry or issue. Hope I haven't made things worse, but you don't want to buy duplicate chargers and batteries. If you have any questions, let me know. Happy Holidays.
-Brett
Best wife and mother ever
Great mom! How do they like them now?
Best gift you could get
Excellent comparison, very thorough. Felt like the E-Revo was more to my taste :)
same
Not a question, e revo and xmaxx destroy arrmas same class. No doubt. On road though, arrma wins all day. Never be a one sided fan boy
I got the E revo 2.0 from amain hobbies over a year ago and it is a great RC and they are a great company. No regrets AT ALL!
You need to turn up the music a bit, I was able to decipher a few of the words you said.
Shoot, you made out a few? Darn... there is room for improvement then.
-Brett
Good sentiments here, RC tribalism should not be a thing, if you like something and it is your choice then nobody should try to shit on you for it, these are things bought solely for fun, and are to be used as such. Good review.
Thanks for the true statement. I've owned a lot of RC brands over the years and enjoyed the different methods that are used to do the same thing, go fast and have fun!
Well said😃 plus when they al say it Will brake fast that doesnt mean when you have it, it still does it all depends on your use
Jesus! What a way to put it.
Cool, but the talking really distracted me from the music.
AMain Hobbies Great commentary on two very comparable vehicles. Your candor is much appreciated. Keep up the great work!
So I said this on another comment already but I'll repeat... Strangely enough, and this surprises me... I actually like the music. These videos are great, the music is pleasant (go ahead haters, flame away, I can take it) and the music actually just adds a good background to the great informational and entertaining vid. Awesome job man.
I have a stamped, revo3.3 and a UDR. I wanted a change so I went with the Kraton and boy is this thing fun with no disappointments.
Finally!!!! This is the comparison I've been looking for...
Don't know if anybody mentioned it but on high traction surfaces like asphalt and cement etc. Vehicles with grippy tires tend to traction roll without sway bars. Some people like traction rolling but I don't. On loose traction surfaces sometimes I remove my sway bars to get that cool body rolling effect that you mentioned.
Music vs brett
Glad to see this comparison from three years ago! The E-Revo 2.0 was hands down better than the Kraton V3. But Arrma has been making updates every year, and currently the Kraton V5 is hands down better than the E-Revo 2.0. Traxxas is way behind the competition these days, they just can't keep up. Meanwhile Arrma keeps making big changes every year and keeps improving!
I just ordered my Arrma Outcast 6S EXB RTR and I can't wait to get it.
Dude I couldn't Finnish this video because of that music. I'm glad to see I'm not just crazy here....lol
Great review. That center diff oil point is so crucial when comparing these two. I think the people would love to see a long term durability test between these cars!
I think arrma puts water in the diffs or wd40 to stop rust
@@pops4141 They don't put either in the diffs, especially water lol wtf. Water literally causes rust.
Keyed wheels?
Traxxas is the Apple of the RC world.
Yes I have a kraton and an erevo 2.0 and I hate how I can’t use the erevo tires on anything else unless I cut off the splines on the inside of the wheel
And Arrma is the Samsung of RC world
Nah, I mean if you can use anything on the traxxas, but you can't use the traxxas on others that's nothing like Apple.
@@jeffklaubo3168 well, it compares like, traxxas has their own ecosystem of products, has high quality and expensive and its has a brand value in the rc world. So in that sense it can be compared to Apple but not in all sense ofcourse
@@xptweak well in that sense it can be compared to any quality product then lol.
"Different roads taking you to a good time" - I like that.
That was perfect
Great comparison, especially regarding the diff fluids and how it affects the driving experience of each truck. In my Kraton I run 500k in my center diff and 100k front and rear diffs, for me this is great for bashing...though if I were to do it over, I may go with 50-60k weight in the front and rear diffs. Cheers!
AMain Hobbies i think with lighter fluid in the front and rear diffs I would get quicker turn in, in turns...I need to experiment with it more, but this is more for racing, and i only bash🙂👍
Thank you man, such good info! These are the 2 I've been battling which one to get and you gave really direct and thorough explanations and instructions on how to fix either 1 I'm very well I'm glad I subscribed.
Nice review. Just turn the music down.
What's the name of the track btw??
Thanks for the video. We have a Kraton and Senton. They have been working great. No problems except had to replace Kraton servo after a head on crash with a other RC.
I got my son a Kraton for his birthday. Figured I would try out something different for me that I could run with him, I am absolutely loving it!!! I didn't expect to like it as much as I do. I lean more towards buggy's and truggys most of the time.
Wish you made this video with closed caption. So I can turn off the music and still get the good info. The music why?
Great advice on the centre diff oil tweak! I’m picking up a new Kraton tomorrow and some thicker diff oil is now on the shopping list 👍
I have an outcast and it's nearly bulletproof haha, not sure about the kraton but I put 500k weight oil in the center diff and bumped up the esc's punch setting to 6 out of 9 and it does standing backflips with no effort haha
crazycamkalani that sounds nuts... 👍
Matt J GOOD LUCK BROTHER
You can add the clipless body to the older e-revo and the summit if you want I did it to mine and love it it's so easy every rc should have it !
I bought both. I prefer the Kraton but the E-Revo is still a lot of fun
Veteran Resist what do you like more about the Kraton vs the e Revo ? I’m looking into getting one of these stuck on these 2
@@MarcosGonzalez-hb5rv I had a meet-up with some RC enthusiasts and one of them had the E-Revo he ran it on 4S and that thing was a beast in someone lent him to 3's batteries cuz we all wanted to see what it could do and it was crazy fast . He had a big yellow spoiler on the back and that literally became the wheelie bar
I have a ton of rc cars and trucks. and after having both of them if you don't mind fixing an rc a ton get a revo if you only want to work on your rc once and awhile get the kraton. they both break but the arrma breaks less. I know because I beat the crap out of both of them on the same jumps and the same trails. the revo breaks more its a fact. I'm sorry I didn't mention this is an awsome video. There I said it.
The real comparison the music vs brett
This is a much better comparison than the Arrma Kraton vs. Traxxas UDR. The UDR is more a trophy truck and more about details. Kraton and the E-Revo 2.0 are real bashers! I sense a little favoritism in the Kraton. The sway bar pretty much sucks and the E-Revo has strong plastic and bigger better tires. Sounds like when you read through it, the E-Revo is the real winner here! I am not a fan of the 2 motor steering servo on the E-Revo is my only complaint!
Great video thanks for the time you take to show us all these neat differences. I enjoyed the music it gave a neat hobbyist feel to the video. 👍 from STEWS R.C
After replacing center diff fluid in the kraton and taking off sway bars , this thing is an absolute beast!
I dont know, I kinda like the sway bars
Ordered my EREVO 2.0 a couple of days ago. Can’t wait till it gets here.
The Kraton has been fun but I think i'm going to sell it and graduate to a Tekno now ;)
I have the E-revo and it’s a beast, so much power and control
I got the e-REVO 2 but I'll agree both look and PERFORMANCE MUST BE AWESOME! 👍💖✔
Man i just recently had to choose between these 2 and had to go with the Kraton. I've owned 8 Traxxas vehicles throughout my time in the hobby and had to switch it up! With all the positive buzz surrounding Arrma and the Kraton in general i'm pretty excited to bust open the box! Picked up a fresh 6s pack and i'm itching to pull that trigger. Gotta wait til xmas though lol. It's nice to see Pro-line and Jconcepts coming out with bodies for the Kraton and I hope they don't stop there. Man this hobby is a sickness i'm already thinking about whats gonna come after the Kraton. UDR? Baja Rey? Hmmmmmm.... lol. Keep up the good videos man and have a Merry Christmas!
Great video. You covered some aspects that no one else mentions. subbed.
Couple up grades and the kraton is bullet proof. I snapped a pin in the diff and an axle shaft at the bmx track but other than that it's a tank m2c chassis is next on the list
Love the review. I am actually thinking of getting the revo. But still not sure lol. And ya the music is a bit much. But I would like to know. As a consumer witch one would you buy ?
Great comparison👌i just bought my kraton 6s blx v4. Love it💯
Just out of curiosity why dint you get the exb version
@@Scoodee17 based off reviews, the kraton 6s blx was the better option 👌
@@PhillyDee215 I did want the exb myself but maybe I should look more into it then 👍
Technically you're saying the new Revo 2.0 is better than the Kraton..
WILDCAT R/C maybe if you want to traction roll instead of drift doing high speed bashing 😨. Traxxas is attempting to compete with Arrma. The true test will be performance and durability under extreme use. That's where weak points and poor design become most evident. 🤔😎💪👊👊
Rich Duperbash yes, Kraton is made of macdonalds ketchup packets while Revo is made of carbon fiber and quality bearings
@@arjunsomnali3996 I thought Traxxas was made by Carl's Jr.
@@richduperbash2966 You just said traxxas is trying to compete with arrma. Lol that is funny, but its the other way around kid. Traxxas outsells every body and its not even close.
@@AM-wi6zo I'm not talking about sales. Everyone knows they lead the pack. I'm talking about durability for harder bashing. Not saying Traxxas doesn't have some great designs, great marketing, and unreal parts availability, just not my first choice for high speed regular hard bashing. Buy what you think works best. To me it's about value and finishing runs with minimal breakages. My play money is better spent elsewhere. 👊
I have both trucks, and both trucks are great. However, I find myself using and enjoying the Kraton a lot more.
So it basically comes down to spare parts then. I know that many of the Arrma parts are compatible across their 1/8 scale line. Is Traxxas the same way? Nice video, seems like you had a great time testing both trucks 👍 The Kraton is very versatile and can be tuned many different ways. I dont see the e-revo as having as many tuning options, I could be wrong though...
I have the full size EREVO 2.0 I done some suspension work like a lil lift, heavier springs, limiting straps, center diff grease as traxxas skimps out on it.
Motor cooling fan, front and rear lights, and the MAX wheels(I machine some titanium hex nuts) also I installed the telemetry systems pack, heavy DUTY servos, A-arms, sealed ceramic bearings, heavier AWG & terminal to battery wire cables and speed controller,.
Next I am prototyping a wireless camera to send a video live feed via wifi to my phone so I can record and have a point of view.
Nice! Sounds like some fun and fast R/C FPV using the E-Revo 2.0! Good luck when you're wheeling down the street.
-Brett
Great comparision! Thank you! @AMain Hobbies could you please give us more info about sway bars? I own Kraton v2 btw. What are recomendation for removing sway bars? If the model goes better without them, why Arrma is using them in Kraton? What are the benefits if they are installed?
Am i the only one who loves seeing the revo going up the curb ? It kinda like slithers up haha i love seeing it
Put different center diff fluid in and the kraton launches like its crazy which is nice
Thanks for posting this!!
I personally chose the erevo. Looked at both. Great video
Like after 48 secs....IMHO forward thinking of doing reviews! Thanks dude!
They both look awesome, I would choose the e revo 2.0 since I already have traxxas batteries for it, and love the way it looks.
Good video. Pretty sure if someone owns either of these monsters, they'll be driving with a big smile on their face. Nonetheless, when comparing two products, don't you have to take cost into account? Sure prices change but I'd be okay if comparison reviews said "as of right now this retails for X and this for X." to help people get a better gauge between the two.
classic Chevy-Vs-Ford!! noted: breakage, parts support, upgrade aftermarket parts & accessories along with interchangeable parts from other brands is what makes the biggest difference in my purchase of these trucks. it's CLEARLY obvious 1 does not want any others to use or interchange it's parts in the rc world. Chevy all day! bash on rc bros 👊👍 ❤️💛💚
I had to make this choice, I missed having my old revo, so revo it is! I love the tech of the e revo
Kraton uses 100k CST in the center, 10k front and rear.
Hello
very helpful info on the Kraton
one Question please
the 1M diff oil you changed in the front,
or center diff?
or both ?
hope I get an answer
thank you so much
Gabriel Abdo 1 million in the center diff to distribute power better and to keep the front tires from ballooning.
thanks for the reply Paultro 84
can you link me website where can buy it ?
No it does not, it uses 10k in all three diffs.
Daedalus dude, read the manual. I just had it out. 10k front and rear, 100k center. I just put 1m in my center diff.
Tyres and Diff fluids transform the Kraton, I think the setup from the factory is a little too aimed at novice drivers to help ease them into 6s. The less aggressive setup sure helped me have fun while I was still learning throttle control. The Kraton is a tank, very tough. I'm sure the Traxxas is great to drive too, they are very good at making cars drive nicely and have good features included.
Thanks for a decent comparison video, I would have liked to have seen some big air jumps though.
AMain Hobbies cheers Brett, thanks for the great reply and the parts I've got in the mail for my Kraton shocks.
No beginner looks at a 500$ RC and beginners don't even know what 6s means so I doubt arrma is trying to market this to beginners lol more like the voltage.
Great Comparison, the erevo maybe looks better but i went to the kraton and bought one yesterday, why? first i save 130 euro, second,Arrma is way cheaper and i think the kraton is more durable than the erevo, i like to see a durability test between these cars? the new erevo 2.0 uses plastic gears and push rod ends and weak servo's. the kraton diff oil is to thin but i ordered 500k fluid for the center diff en wheeliebar also ,like to upgrade so you can make it to your own taste
i want to pop wheelies out the kraton, which oil i will buy for front and rear?
Nice comparison man! Its like the edited professional version of my RC video comparisons LOL!! I think I'm invest in a new camera and take a video editing course. Amain hobbies for life. Quick question, did you do an XMAXX video before on another channel, BOWEN RC or something like that??...I loved that video BTW ;-)
AMain Hobbies It was the best XMAXX video to date in my mind honestly. I wish it was still up. I spent like a half hour looking for it. But gone. Thanks for subscribing. I did as well :-) Peace brother!
AMain Hobbies Wait I found it! YES!!! THANK YOU, couldn't before because it's BBowenRC...I forgot your first initial :-P...I recommended this video to sooo many people. Because it really demonstrates the toughness of that rig. Your primarily on here now. But I subbed anyways, I think you had a ton fans on that channel that wanted you back lol. All good though I understand.
Long story shortened owned an orginal e revo brushless. Bought an e revo 2.0 sold the e revo 2.0 and got the arrma. Reasoon, repairing many broken 2.0 e revo's at the hobbytown I work at.
great video! 1 of my favorite comparison videos I have watched 👍. I didnt mind the music, but it was to loud
Of the two trucks which would you say is the most durable out of the box? Great video!
You missed a difference: one of them is made from recycled Tupperware the other actually has a nice aluminum chassis and other parts :)
ZoomZoomToys so is a glock, and it one of the most durable and best guns ever made
Exactly, well said. Traxxas insist on continually using plastic & being one of the most expensive, Ridiculous !!
1. Comparing a gun to a RC car is a false equivalence. 2. I am no gun expert but I am pretty sure the firing mechanism and internals are made from steel or some other alloy. Let me ask you this, if you had the choice between 2 road cars: first car had a good ole Motown steel chassis and the second a chassis made from composite nylon, both priced the same, which one would you choose? I know that even the center drive shafts are plastic on the erevo 2.0, which is unheard of on an 1/8th scale RC. At this price I would rather put my money in a rig that doesn't require necessary upgrades from the get go.
Plastic is sooo flexible and the metal chassis on arrmas is prolly recycled cans id get plastic chassis over aluminum 10-1
I don't own an Arrma vehicle, but I do own a 1/16 e-revo and that platform has an issue with chassis breaking at a certain point. Not to mention the plastic drive shafts that need replacing periodically. Personally I'd rather have something made of recycled cans than Tupperware.
I'd say something about the music but it's already been said but I will say this, it has that Cinco de Mayo feel to it.
Nice video. Would love to have seen more bashing comparison but great comparisons nonetheless. 👍👍
Great video! I was set on the erevo but I test drove one at the store and it broke. also I don’t like how they are trying to force everyone to buy their batts and chargers. Soooo I was all set to get a Kraton but now I hear they are bankrupt. What’s the latest? Is parts availability looking good?
Thanks for the reply! It was the “self righting” feature. It wiggled a little then made a nasty grinding sound.
Great video brother great trucks and 👍😁 I've subbed you my friend because I think I can learn alot from your videos well done 👍👍👍
Your welcome my freind 🇬🇧👍😊
Dude, great video with a lot of info :P Just.. The music man, could you please lower it a little? Makes it hard to listen to you with so much noise. Thank you
Great vid! I love my Kraton! I was.thinking of getting outcast wheels/tires for mine
But I do use my car on pavement a lot so the regular ones are decent and cam handle the dirt. Good review especially the diff weight. Cheers!
Great Video. Have a Kraton V4 and thinking of getting an E-revo 2.0. Do you think traxxas will release anything new this year?
Not that I know of but who knows. I imagine the E-Revo 2.0 is here to stay for a long while. How are you enjoying the 4S BLX vehicles? I've really been enjoying the Outcast 4S BLX recently.
-Brett
@@AMain_Hobbies Love em the 4s. I'm a big fan and not done much upgrades really. Always have a smile on my face when I run my 4s. Just got some Ramps. Losi DBXL 2.0 coming soon. Really enjoyed your video on it. Think I'm going to pull the trigger on the E-revo 2.0 at Xmas. Stay Safe Brett and cheers for the connection big fan of your work. Paul.
The Erevo is a great platform, but they have some issues. The twin servos burn each other out and the rear links break nearly every run. Other than those two issues (big issues for a few people) it is great great fun.
@@SebastianLong Probably go single servo at some point in the bear future. And the rear links...Yerhh almost every video I see someone has that problem.
@@FullOnRC if you do go single servo, look up the single servo kit (I believe, but don't quote me, offered by hot racing). If you can't find it, get the aluminum upgraded bellcrank. The OEM will break in the middle with the stress of the one servo. Secondly, get the v2 aluminum link upgrades. More meat around the ball end and more thread engagement at the rod. I'm personally still looking for solid links like found on the 1/16 version. I think I may have found some but still unsure yet. The rear upper 4 link bars on the Losi Rock/Baja Rey. They may be too long though but I'll figure it out for sure soon enough.
If the E-Revo 2.0 is like the E-Revo then you can run it on one battery if you change the way the wires are in the plug. I've done it several times in my E-Revo.
Nice comparison !!! I’m keen to try the one million weight fluid now 😁 Here’s me thinking 100k was thick 👍🏻👍🏻😎🤟
I connected my headphones so I can read the comments to a chill beat 😆
Great work on the comparison. Thanks
The Kraton is also good for running over the Senton 6S as a buddy found out the hard way when he was talking about outrunning me then stopped behind me.
6.35 minute subtitles are interrupted .... can you fix it?
I'm very interested in this review
thank's for your job
Great video man
I had never had a kraton..but i have the new revo 2.0..and this thing is a beast it lays down raw power..i havent had ne issues yet
Truth.
-Brett
Good info! Nice comparison 👍👍👍
Good luck finding parts for arrma cars in 5 years
Barsabus yeah about that
Why do we need luck for that?
I don't think they will discontinue the 6s line
You didn't talk about durability, how is it on both? Kraton used to be better in that particular area, is it still the case, I heard revo 2 was doing better now
Great Video, I have been uming and ahring between the 2 and now I’m sold on the Kraton
E revo hands down
P.s it’s called cantilever suspension ;)
My Kraton did the same. Pizza cutter front wheels. It did not have the torque the revo does. Also you can't find parts for the Kraton stuff like any traxxas car..
great vid but bit its like the band is playing you off at the emmys when you go on too long. prolly gonna get an erevo. got a rustler and xmaxx guess i need the in between
Chris Hirner what’s nice about the erevo and the xmaxx share many of the same gears, so if you break a spur gear for the erevo and you have a spare for the xmaxx, it will fit
Amazing comparison bro well done! the problem is that I cant make up my mind which one to get 😂
-Brett
Should I buy a kraton or revo or just go Xmaxx, thoughts
If they were almost identical back then, is Kraton v5 better now?
good comparison, I'm liking my erevo BUT fed up it breaks a lot, so looking at other RC's to replace it.
Get the stronger rear links for the poor thing
Adorable Erevo 😜
On the Traxxas website it labels the E-Revo at 1/10th scale. From all I can remember its 1/8th. I think you may have gotten it wrong.
I'm looking to buy one of these tomorrow the guy has a 3s battery that comes with it will it work with it or is it worth it? (Kraton)
I would like to see arma kraton vs traxxas sledge
Great video, great review 👍👍👍
i have a few traxxas 1/10 cars but just bought the Kraton EXB paired with a a castle 1717 and mumba monster 8s esc, If i could upgrade the e revo i would have but its not possible
wonder how long till the erevo ate its own diffs. I have a shelf queen I refuse to take out anymore. It ate diffs in 10 minutes. Even when I had full metal cases etc built by someone a lot better than me.
