How can u throw ur transmitter n body on the ground like that? I know it's gonna get worse when bashing but when I spend over $600 with batteries I treat it like it's my baby lol I know u got it for free from arrma but when u just throw it on the ground it hits a spot for us guys that pay that top dollar for this truck, anyways no disrespect just saying great unboxing otherwise 👍👍👍📹📹
Hi Steve, Did you listen to the sound when the radio dropped? The crinkling sound was it falling in a box of bubble wrap I had placed there before filming. And after 30+ years in the hobby, I know that tossing a true Lexan body on the ground (which the floor in my shop is actually a thick padded floor from a trade show booth) is not going to do any damage whatsoever. With any video on RUclips or elsewhere, people need to think beyond what they see. Things can be planned out in advanced to keep viewers attention, positive or seemingly negative; that's why we're called creators. One additional note, nothing in life is free. I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. Thanks for watching; glad you liked the unboxing!

Always a joy to read intended disrespect, covered with an “LOL” here and there, combined with the classic closer sentence assuring the other person that there is no disrespect meant. But.... opening sentence is..... yeah..... not feeling too much respect! Oh hey, theres that lol! Weak..... and to assume because someone owns a business and/or has a RUclips channel they then at that point are receiving free stuff to do as they will, is just shitty. At a minimum short and close-minded. As a former business owner, and as one that grew up with nothing, obtained much beyond what i thought possible, lost it all due to shady shady people with the same assumption that I must be livin the big dream with tons of money, what i can tell you is that there are no employees that work for any small business owner that came to be successful through their own blood sweat and tears that could ever imagine how much work it really is. 7 days a week, consuming a ridiculous amount of what other people use as personal time off, and then getting looked at by people you have been generous enough to give a job to like your the pos and shouldnt be where you are. “I know you get your shit for free...” wtf is that about? Even if he did get it given to him, I’d say dues have been paid and being able to enjoy a few perks in exchange for providing jobs for people that arent generally too grateful, ummm.. kicking ass hard enough for years to have barely been able to make the sacrifice to get to that point,... yeah... free RC car my ass. You get respectfully called out on it, and rightfully so (cause i damn sure know from RCDO’s comment he smelled that weak shit across state lines), but then backpedal away from your original statement so much so that I’m gonna say a damn unicycle would be a great side gig for ya. He gave you a thumbs up not as a sign of believing your bullshit, but in good PR by showing continued effort to be the bigger person. At a minimum, do yourself a favor and grow a pair before you comment on someones shit. If you think something is how you perceive it to be, ask. Or, roll with the dick-move full on. And stand by it. Dont cave and back away and make yourself look like a MUCH larger jackass than the original size. Sometimes, going super sized needs to be left at the fast food lane. But... its ok. Not a single damn person including myself is perfect. Everyone reading this has no doubt made the same mistake and/or much worse. But someone somewhere at some point told them like it is. Be real. You’re good.
I love this truck I may honestly have to sell a few others and buy myself a new 1/8 Arrma sometime in the fall. I bought the new erevo 2.0but honestly both times I ran it so far I broke something. Even if minor. I had an original Talion and that was awesome. I’m thinking this Kraton or the Typhon is my next rc from arrma
In my opinion the 8th scale line up from arrma r the best on the market hands down for the price u can't beat them there is nothing to compare then to what traxxes that's a joke
Can the Traxxas ID charger ... charge non-traxxas batteries with traxxas connectors? We have several Traxxas batteries but my son purchase some non-traxxas batteries he is planning to put traxxas connectors on. Will the Traxxas ID charger charge them?
Great review. Always enjoy your objectivity and enthusiasm. However, I still don’t see why Arma/Horizon doesn’t equip these rigs with a better transmitter. Lots of examples out there about that Spectrum junk losing connection or having a delayed response when the RC is operating. To me that poses a safety issue. Here you have an RC that can run at 50 mph+ and operators are losing connection? That’s not good. Until Arma takes this issue seriously, may as well factor in another $100+ to the overall price to buy a worthy transmitter and receiver along side this Arma RTR.
Great video! Trying to decide between this and the new Erevo. Test drove an Erevo at my LHS and it shredded the gear using the “self righting” feature. The employee said “yea that’s why we dont use that” not super impressive for what they charge for it. Also the whole Traxxas trying to force you to use their batteries turned me off. But they dont have a Kraton I can test. Anyone give me their opinion?
Finn Foster Traxxas hasn't upgraded there rigs in decades! Same platforms year after year. Maybe now they will be forced to make quality, innovative rc's now that arrma has stepped up the game in rc.
Kraton is nice, but the chassy gets bent easily; it's weak. I'd go change ball ends anytime (they're cheap), rather than change a bent chassy. But hey probably this year I will get a Kraton, but IMO the chassy and suspension design, just mere architecture the Revo wins. Traxxas just technically look great and a good basher.
@@opairsoft8100 Any chassy that bends out of shape, not by design is no good, for one it does not bend back on its own and will create a tweak; It suppose to perform like a solid piece firewall. It is the same reason why they placed support bars, with the intention of it not to move; It should not go out of proportion. It is not by design to flex like a suspension, which are moving parts. Whereas if you compare the monocoque design of the E-Revo, it does not contort and require to be bent back. I own 2 E-Revos and looking into getting the Kraton, but I think I will need to wait for the next version.
Titan520 the kraton might have some minor problems but it’s hardly bad, unless you are completely nuts and bash it stupidly hard. Which at that point the e revo would break to. For all the problems the kraton has, it is just as much if not less than the e revo...but 50$ cheaper before the v4 came out, which most likely fixed the chassy bending for most normal jumps and slight big ones.
@@opairsoft8100 So you say the chassy is pretty strong ("the chassy is hardly weak") and that it can be easily bent back to shape; a contradiction. Now your rebuttal claims of a different idea, pretty confusing.. So running your logic, you are willing to pay for an RC basher chassy that is is not designed to be bent, yet is weak (not strong) but argue that it can easily be bent back. That is pretty hard to accept when this hobby is not cheap, whereas the chassy is expensive compared to ball end links.. The issue with the Kraton is it was designed as a basher like the E-Revo. Although I agree that any action that is stupidly insane will damage any RC vehicle, but the thing is even on just normal bashing, the chassy of the Kraton bends out of shape. This is why I suppose you tell me that it can easily be bent back. So with that idea the chassy is not strong and that $50 off does not justify the revisions (not an improvement) that will be considered acceptable to most consumers. The problem of the E-Revo are the rod ends, which arguably is a moving part and prone to wear and tear. Whereas a chassy as a support structure, that is not meant to move given that it was even re-enforced with two braces; to which you claim that it going out of shape and being able to bend back is acceptable? I dunno how that is an efficient way of looking at value and purpose. IMO, a major part that is constructed not flex out shape, is not good when it fails to do its purpose by design. For now, I will stick to my E-Revo, I can replace rods ends easy and cheap, it does not happen often anyways. I also do not need to push the chassy back to shape (sorta) like a monkey kicking on it. Honestly speaking, Kraton's chassy is not thin and from most RUclips videos I have seen they are either forcing it with a foot or taking off the whole chassy out and hammering their best to get it back to shape (kinda). FYI, when you have big 3.8 wheels and tires and centrifugal force running that is a lot of suspension and chassy stress, other than the jumping and terrain.

sam weidenbach I had the 2.0 and traded it for the v3 kraton I spend way less time wrenching and way more time bashing
E Revo is absolute shit the kraton is on a different level
The Keaton really is on a different level. I have a v4. I know this was a while ago but go get one! You probably already have one.
How long battery time can you get out of this thing? Is there a big difference between 1:10 scales vs 1:8 in battery time?
This uses twice as much power as 1/10 scale vehicles so I think run times are comparable and pretty close. I just got a Kraton v4.
Bye bye traxxas and hpi arrma's in town

It's there diffs pure garbage
