Thank you guys for watching! Lmk what you guys think of these albums and also let me know what albums you would consider to be your favorite albums of all time
I’d probably say Illinois by Sufjan Stevens is my favourite album of all time.
Video 10 of asking Kyle Reid to review Blood Visions by Jay Reatard
Absolutely loved Nujabes music ever since hearing this music in Samurai Champloo. Some most comforting, soothing, and well-produced hip-hop ever recorded. RIP.
Thank you for including RTJ2, one of my favorite hip hop records of all time. I’d even says it’s one of the most fun rap albums ever
My favorite album of all time is currently Quadeca - I Didn't Mean To Haunt You, it's absolutely beautiful and the production is so unique. The story is crazy too and so is the energy difference in every song.
A hell of a list, so many records/bands I've not heard of but will explore. I was familiar with more bands in Part 1. I'll be using this list as a guide! You hit a run with albums I have with Slint, Talk Talk, and Wire, all amazing. In fact, most of the records starting with Slint I either own or know about. Cheers! PS, I'm working on my own list of 50, lol.
Laughing Stock is one of my top 5 favorite Post Rock albums. Absolutely love that album.
Great pick with Nujabes!! The mix of sampling and original Japanese jazz instrumentation is so rich and detailed. Makes you wanna drive on a hot summer night with the windows rolled down✌🏼
Deltron 3030’s self titled isn’t talked about enough! My fav albums of all time are probably Love Travels at Illegal Speeds by Graham Coxon and 1977 by Ash. Once again really enjoyed the video :)
Glad you enjoyed the video!
i love 1977 dude
You're so cool 😎
Also, my favorite album of all-time is Spirit They've Gone, Spirit They've Vanished, and my third favourite album is Feels, so I'm super super looking forward to your documentary on AnCo, such an incredible group that is so forward-thinking and genius
The latest setup is 🔥. very professional
Very happy to see some Against All Logic love, both of his albums are fantastic but 2017-2019 is sooooo underrated. Also on the topic of Nicolas Jaar, Space is Only Noise is so good!!!! Keep up the content I’ve been loving it :)
I’ve heard good things about Space is Only Noise but I’ve yet to check it out. I need to do that for sure
@@KyleReidMu highly recommend, Keep Me There is one of my favorite songs I’ve ever heard. The whole album is great tho. Stay on your grind!!
I see seaweed by the drones is probably one of my favourites. It’s so well crafted and has some of Gareth Liddiard’s best lyrics
I got so hyped when I saw deaths dynamic shroud. been listening to that album a ton lately, glad to see it get some love.
Such a great album
You should make a Spotify playlist with your favorite songs on these albums
I was lucky enough to see Modest Mouse on their Lonesome Crowded West anniversary tour last year, they played the whole album front to back live, Idk if I'll ever top that concert (this was also within weeks of Jeremiah Green passing rip a legend)
Dude I'm so jealous that you got to experience that. Rip Jeremiah Green, one of my favorite drummers
Great video Kyle, i can't wait for the Animal Collective documentary!
Thank you!
Feels is an amazing album. Number 2 best Anco for me with Sung Tongs coming in first, I love it’s weird twisted enchanted forest feel, and for some reason it’s a Christmas time album for me it just works somehow. It’s production seems minimalistic at first glance but has so many subtle details to it, I pick up new things every now and then that I’ve never heard before on the album.
Other favorite albums of mine are:
- Electric Light Orchestra - A New World Record
- Beach Boys - Smile Sessions
- Tame Impala - Lonerism
Sung Tongs would probably be my second favorite haha
Can you make a video on how you organize your playlists?
One of my favorite album's of all time is Bocanada by Gustavo Cerati's. When I listened to it I was not expecting a super crazy eletronic album, super experimental and cozy. I had recently listened to Uchu Nippon Setagaya By Fishmans and was searching for something that sounded similar, and I was not expecting to find it in a argentinan artist. Every song on the record is great and super diferent from the other. Love it!
Sounds like a great album! I'll have to check it out
Vamos argentina carajo
For the longest time, Music Has The Right To Children was my favourite BoC album, followed by Campfire Headphase, then in 2021 I went through some stuff and Geogaddi became my favourite, it suddenly clicked for me.
Love to see it. 👌
I had a similar experience with spiderland, I couldn't even finish it at first but once i did i loved it
(Watched both videos in a row so idk if you netioned it here or on the other one, sorry if so lol)
Some of my favorite albums:
OK Human by Weezer
In the Aeroplane Over the Sea by Neutral Milk Hotel
Murder of the Universe by King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard
Teens of Denial by Car Seat Headrest
Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga by Spoon
Hot Fuss by The Killers

A New World Record by Electric Light Orchestra
Medulla by Björk
American Idiot by Green Day
Some great picks on here!

omg I love the avalanches. Apparently one of the members used to own a record store near my house.
Can’t wait for the ghost pop tape to appear on one of these videos when you finally listen to it
The day is getting closer and closer
@@KyleReidMu YIPPPPEEEE

Dry Cleaning! Love their second album even more though!
I like their second album too! I've always enjoyed their first album more though for some reason
I know this is kind of cheating since it’s an EP, but “Do it for nothing” by the Cactus Channel and Sam Cromack is a fantastic collection of six chill ass songs. Would definitely recommend
That will be all thank you.

Extremely controversial opinion some absolutely love it, and some absolutely hate it (brad), but one of my personal favorite 10/10 albums is Hawaii: Part II. Its just an extremely fun listen.

hey, i want just wondering what mic you use?
I don’t have my computer rn so I can’t look up the exact model but I will get back to you on this. Ask me again in a few days and I’ll get you an answer!
@@KyleReidMu alright!
@@KyleReidMui was wondering the same thing
I prefer Chairs Missing, but Pink Flag is great to. Ex Lion Tamer is fantastic.
No
Yes. The ground they covered with those first 3 albums is breathtaking, they hit punk, post-punk and goth rock before 1980. Influenced hardcore punk and shoegaze while they were at it. 154 with the 15th and Map Ref... also incredible
@@theDutton I'm saying no to chairs missing being better than pink flag
I like this list, tho it's ciriminal toxicity and tpab aren't on this list
Ya this is true
compositions
Indeed
Literally a rym top 50 💀💀

YES emotion is spectacular
