Advice to those who are planning to marry a Kazakh woman. To make it easy for the girl's parents to agree with both of your decisions about starting a family, studying the Kazakh language and culture (Kazakh literature, history) will help you the most. For example, a foreigner who speaks Kazakh and plays the dombra (if you did not know, it is a Kazakh musical instrument) is perceived by Kazakhs much closer than the Kazakhs themselves, who do not know a single gram of the Kazakh language at all. There is one story about how a dark-skinned African who studies in Almaty fell very much in love with a local Kazakh woman, tried to win her heart and wanted to marry her. The girl's family was against them getting married, although the girl was also in love, as she claims. They did not stop dating, despite their father's refusal. The man in love turned out to be very persistent. He did not lose hope and for six months studied the Kazakh language and the traditional customs of the Kazakh people. This helped them to get their father's approval, as he considered him "his real Kazakh". They are happy, now they have 3 cute children with a milky color (more precisely, the colors of a mix of tea and milk🥰), they often travel with their family to Africa so that children do not forget their distant relatives
Thank you; спасибо I noticed an ad for a TEFL job in Kazakhstan and I have been trying to learn about Kazakhstan in preparation for applying, and, as a single man (from USA), I am interested in the romance part, so thank you for your advice.
You are oversimplifying it. Many families don't care about playing donbra or even speaking Kazakh, just gotta show respect to the Kazakh culture and their family traditions
I my self am a Kazakh man married happily to an English/German woman and we have the most wonderfull little milkshake that is our daughter. My mother is married to an Englishman and have been together for around 30 years together. In general kazakh people are very open and adapt to envioronments very fast. I went to Uni in England and had kazakh friends but mainly friends from all different nations and so did my kazakh friends.
People should not limit themselves and just consider certain national or race while dating and marrying.I grew up in very traditional kazakh household where I only saw kazakh marrying kazakh, chinese marrying chinese, very rarely I would come across mixed marriages, and people always talked about them in negative way. This is getting better with time but still vast majority people in my original birth place will hold onto their opinion mixed marriages are not expected for good end. I saw successful marriage in mixed couple and broken relationship in kazakh marriages. if there is a mixed marriage couple and unfortunately it did't go further my fellow kazakhs back home will be so happy to judge them saying he/she did't marry kazakh it was meant to be unsuccessful! at the end, it is about choosing that right person who you are willing to walk the path of life together hopefully in the same direction no matter what obstacle you both will meet. if this person is from the same country as you, you are lucky, it saves a lot of energy later in life regarding culture difference. I hope to see more open minded people in marriage topic in kazakh society. and in kazakh culture, if a man marrys non-kazakh is still acceptable then a woman marrying non-kazakh. Again, gender discrimination is dominant in our culture.
Exactly there should not be a double standard. If kazakh men are marrying non-kazakh, then women should be allowed to do the same if they choose to. I believe in equality!
Bullshit! As with all women you need a charm stone to undress them! It works on their Aura once she opens up to laugh or smile with you.. No amount of sleazy pickup line nor money. Just a piece of stone...
@@williamkunte5361 Well you clearly haven't met a kazakh women before. Their values, culture and traditions is very much different with how they value themselves, and with men. All women are different of course individually, but the general perception of Kazakh women is what I had stated in my first comment.
As a foreign I think the main problem is language barrier, secondly is the culture & tradition, lastly is the distance of their family. well once you believe in interracial marriage anythong is possible.
Many Kazakhs have a negative attitude to interethnic marriage, since our nation is so small(for some reasons), so it would be better if we first increase the number of pure-blooded Kazakhs, and then we can think about it. But of course, the main thing is not the nationality of the person:)
If to talk from historical point of view, there is no such a thing as a pure blood in Central Asian countries, because we situated on Silk way road. It means that all of Kazakhstani people have different admixtures. For instance,I did 23and me blood test and realised that have Eastern European, Northern Chinese blood in me. That's why we are so diverse,in terms of our apperance. Soon or later, whole world would be international.
@@АсельСаржанова-х5з sure but we are still Kazakhs we will not do this, for example, our blood is mixed, now I am not Kazakh and I will marry someone else it's just a dumb thought We don’t know our half is Kazakh or another nationality it will be fate There is no one in the world now pure blood
Pure blooded kazakhs haven’t existed since the mongolian empire invaded modern day kazakhstan. The same applies even to the chinese, as most of us hold a % of mongolian blood. Everyone has a freedom of choice on whom to mate with, you are never going to convince all of your people otherwise. The correct initiative should be to convince your people to at least stick to dating other asians. Notice how the americas and the europeans stick together as one and doesn’t mind inter-marriages. Asians need more unity!
Kazakhs didn't exist before mongolian conquest and they're actually descendants of Mongol and Turkic tribes of Golden horde. So it makes no sense to speak of mongolian influence on Kazakhs. As for interethnic marriages in medieval times Kazakhs frequently married calmouk women and vice versa.
Hi Salta! I love the idea of this video🤩. It is cool to hear that there are open-minded young people in your country who believe that the qualities of a partner are more important than their nationality. I also love your idea of sharing cookies. Getting into the holidays spirit😁... How about you? What is your opinion on interracial relationships? Also, could you make a video about your life as a woman in Kazakhstan? What's the role of women there? How are they viewed in your culture? Are there any constraints? Are there things that you are not happy about? If it's possible to share because I imagine that such a video could be quite controversial...Anyway, thanks for this video! 🤗

And I would make sure I was up to date with the laws and customs of the country of Kazakhstan.
For all I know, many men are against women dating foreigners, but what about themselves? It is an ethnicity preservation thing or it's just them wanting to keep the girls for themselves? I'd love to hear some Kazakh in these interviews. It's a beautiful language.
Kazakh people have Shejire, so called book of family tree with some history. So the child receives the surname of the father and is considered the successor of the father's family. Thus, if a man marries a foreign woman, their children will be considered Kazakhs. However, kazakh people also adhere the tradition of Zheti Ata, so called Seven Ancestors. So you considered to be close relatives up to seventh knee. You cannot marry someone with whom you have common ancestor to the seventh generation. So it is problematic to distinguish that when men marry foreigners. (I mean it is ok for the first time, but then it will be problematic). So I guess some men will be against marring foreigners because of that, while some will consider that their child will be kazakh as him despite mother's ethnicity. In general, Kazakhstan is very big country that is sparsely populated and kazakhs in general are not so numerous. We had a lot of issues with souveregnty and independence, land issues because we were minorities in our own country. So many people want to rise the number of kazakhs in KZ.
@@anelyaasul7506 exactly, to girls it's harder to pass their ethnicity (in a sense of language, culture, mindset) to child if a father is a foreigner even if they live in Kazakhstan.
@@anelyaasul7506 Thanks you for the explanation. Yeah, I was thinking it might be related to root preservation, given the things you've been through as a people. And if I got this right, there's also a tradition of passing down names from grandfather to grandson, am I correct? If so, do people generally keep it?
@@estera4176 Commonly people tend to have a name of their grandfather/father as a surname. So our surname varies depend on generation in a family. Some has one surname which is probably a name of one of the ancestors. By the law, we can change our name & surname to any that we wish. So I guess it depends on person itself. However, Kazakh people are very family-oriented. I hope I understood your question right
You create good content. Obviously, you’re not going to satisfy every single person in the world. They are always gonna be haters. I ABSOLUTELY agree with the Kazakhs that say they would only date & marry their own. Maintaining your bloodlines, language & culture keeps your nation strong and in maintaining your identity.. Granted, in Islam we're not supposed to discriminate against a person, but that's only in the case of treating people with kindness, respect, empathy, sympathy, helping people & in piety. It's best to do 2 things: Marry a practicing Muslim & someone who is of your same culture. Communication, profound understanding, faith, common culture & language helps in establishing and maintaining a marriage's longevity.

This is a very surprising video! Think the guy at the end nailed it too! In such a beautiful country and people,.. allowing a woman to simply be herself, unhindered by a man's view of what "he" thinks is to be expected,.. women should find balance with a like minded man who will respect her goals and thoughts while returning the same respect. Truly should be equals, smile, have fun with shared adventures in life and race should never have a place in the discussion or decision. Just be yourselves!!!

Makes sense, always easier to date and then marry someone of the same background as you. Particularly if you were born and raised in your ancestral home. I think the fascination with K-Pop is all over Asia isn’t it?
It's not because of kpop. During the Soviet times, Stalin's government deported Korean populations, who lived in the Far East of Russia, to Kazakhstan. There is a large assimilated Korean population in Kazakhstan because of that.
I believe it is because of k-pop and k-dramas. Kazakh people love to watch k-dramas, but it is especially a thing among people under 25. There is no connection between Korean diaspora in KZ, I think. Because Koreans in KZ they are different from Koreans in South Korea. It’s like comparing American Korean and South Korean

It’s not a gender discrimination, it’s a matter of survival as a nation

Many Kazakhs have a negative attitude to interethnic marriage, since our nation is so small(for some reasons), so it would be better if we first increase the number of pure-blooded Kazakhs, and then we can think about it. But of course, the main thing is not the nationality of the person:)
Right
If to talk from historical point of view, there is no such a thing as a pure blood in Central Asian countries, because we situated on Silk way road. It means that all of Kazakhstani people have different admixtures. For instance,I did 23and me blood test and realised that have Eastern European, Northern Chinese blood in me. That's why we are so diverse,in terms of our apperance. Soon or later, whole world would be international.
@@АсельСаржанова-х5з sure
but we are still Kazakhs
we will not do this, for example, our blood is mixed, now I am not Kazakh and I will marry someone else
it's just a dumb thought
We don’t know our half is Kazakh or another nationality
it will be fate
There is no one in the world now pure blood

@@siratshi455 yeah right
@@anelyaasul7506 Thanks you for the explanation.

Now am more curious why is Korea is big in Kazakhstan?
It's not because of kpop. During the Soviet times, Stalin's government deported Korean populations, who lived in the Far East of Russia, to Kazakhstan. There is a large assimilated Korean population in Kazakhstan because of that.
I believe it is because of k-pop and k-dramas. Kazakh people love to watch k-dramas, but it is especially a thing among people under 25. There is no connection between Korean diaspora in KZ, I think.
