2:33 If you use Logic you can also use a Gain plugin to do the same thing
(I know the creator of the video uses ProTools but different DAW, same thing)
EDIT: Make sure you delay them relative to each other or the left and right will mostly cancel, leaving a mostly silent song due to polarity inversions.

Waves NLS channels offer not only frequency domain distortion but time domain distortion as well. Meaning if you run a mono kick drum through any of the dual mono channels and monitor the stereo image of the output of the stereo NLS instance, you dont get a total vertical line in the phase scope. And different channels offer a different variety too. Worth checking out.
