- In this second episode of my new series "I Can Put Concrete in That", I will be making Concrete Curbs by pouring concrete into vinyl gutters and flipping them over and using them as borders or curbs in a flower bed. I hope you enjoy this video and get something out of it!

As a guy I can comfortably say, "I love you dude". The simplicity of your ideas is the genius of them. Keep these great vids coming!
I might make a bunch of these and place them at the base of my fence line to keep the critters out and the dogs in. Great idea and great video
The Value of Micheals's house and the neighborhood just went up ten points.
Def make a video when you do the 10 foot sections. Love to see it. Please and thank you
Love this!! Could put a pin (1/2” dowel or something) in the mold spaced out so you can drive rebar down into the ground to keep them from moving.
I’ll be back
I was thinking set some rebar "pins" in the wet concrete sticking out and ready to stick in the ground but that would only work in relatively soft ground (like where I'm at here in Florida, where everything is sand).
I was just about to suggest a video on garden curbs, but then "you totally redeemed yourself!!"
First time on your page and I gatta say.... I'm addicted
LOL nice, to play with concrete all one needs is a damp sand pit and trashbags. A way to strengthen concrete that actually is little known, boil some rice and strain the water out, 4oz, of it per gallon to your mix water, it causes the size of the microcrystals during formation to shorten but not narrow allowing more omni-directional microcrystalization. This will increase mostly crush strength, and has a very positive effect against impact breakage. as long as it is a >1/10 ratio to the lime, it will work, you could use only rice water and no gain over the 10%.
Nice gutter-curb!
I’d love to see this done as a dry pour too!!
Anyone dry pour in this configuration?
Now everything I look at has the potential to be filled with concrete! Awesome video!
That’s what I’m talkin about! Haha
You could put a small piece of pvc pipe sized for your rebar to fit inside, you just leave the "tube" in so you dont risk breaking concete curb trying to remove a "hole die" - also should help keep the rebar rust away from the concrete edge.
This is a cool idea. Could come up with a way to integrate some smoked plexiglass and a tunnel to run RGB LEDs through it for some unique night lighting. 🤔
Great idea, thanks
That would make a nice parking curb for the garage so I don't run into the wall.
Excellent idea!
Creative as always and nice job! WD-40 helps tremendously on getting the concrete out and I use a reciprocating saw without a blade along the sides to vibrate the concrete. 👍🏼
Great idea for the vibration! Thanks
@@im58woody No problem, happy to help and inspire others. 👍🏼
I just stumbled across your channel when this appeared on my feed. This is ALMOST what I’ve been looking for and I must say … “AWESOME” idea! I may resort to this if I cannot figure a way to create these with an arc (wifey wants a round or oval shaped flower bed border). I’ll run it by her and see if she’ll “go for” octagonal rather than round or oval.
Well WELCOME TO THE CHANNEL! I’ll be doing a video on a curb trowel I bought on Amazon sometime this summer which is suppose to do arch’s as well but we’ll see haha.
I love Chevy’s by the way haha
adding textured form liner would be pretty cool too and an affordable option to those curb/bedding concrete borders.
Home run as always! Great job Michael!
Dude now THATS cool!!!!
Nice video. An other good idea of a creative mind
I enjoy when you do videos like this….. I was only disappointed when I didn’t hear at the end …. “ let’s take this one step further “ lol enjoy the content my fellow Michigander
Yeah! ...... What he said!
Maybe a touch of marbling or even a logo embossed into them?
You could buy a bag of those aquarium marbles and then line the bottom before pouring the concrete.
beautiful idea. am going to do brick patio. first thought I had was add rear spike to drivi into ground.
✨🏆✨. SO glad I watched. I’m going to pour some curbing!
I love this! It’s just what I need to do for my beds next to my side walk. Thanks for taking the time to do this video!
Looooooooove. Yes!!!!
Very cool idea
Well done
Wow that took it to another level looks great !
Great Idea!!!!!!!!
Most excellent! Thanks, Lopaka.
This is so awesome! Going to edge my new garden beds and a pathway with this idea. Thank you!
Hey Michael! Happy Father's Birthday! 💕 I love the concrete boarder idea with the gutters! They look like giant KitKats. 😄
WOWSIERS!!!! You have the best ideas. Think we might try this for our edging.
OMG I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS! THEY LOOK AMAZING! Definitely putting this on my "to do when I have time" list lol
And he does it again lol 😆 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼🙏
Brilliant!!
Great idea, I love thinking outside the box.
Mind blown 🤯 this is such a great idea!!!! 👍🏻
thats pretty cool. great thinking outside the box
That's a pretty good idea. I like the way they look.
Amazing as always! ❤️🤍💙
Excellent. Very helpful. Thanks. God bless.
You are genius. Thanks for sharing.
Love it thank
super cool! love it!
I love this!!! you ARE awesome!
If did the 10 foot sections with rebar for the driveway border, I would love to see a photo. Thanks!
You absolute mad man. This is brilliant.
AWESOME idea!
My first thought: “I’m totally going to wrap these around my shed!”
Yep, I will be doing this!
Love this! I'd like to eventually do something similar for my garden beds, but taller. Using 2x6 lumber currently that will eventually rot. Would love to find something premade like this to use for forms.
Winner Winner Chicken dinner! This one will be done. You make it look so easy!
Game changer
Very creative man! Always wonder how time consuming clean up is on these projects. But, your videos are some of the best! 👍👍👍
I love your videos! You’re so creative. Could you make a curved ones? 😊
Seems you can use any form you want.. I did a quick google search, they do make curved gutters
Crushing it
That's rad! OK, now I know what I gotta do! Lol
Great idea! Gets me thinking? Wonder if vinyl eves can be heated to bend and curve around an exsiting flowerbed?
To help save your drill from premature failure, could you add flow control to the water before adding the mortar mix.
Okay, you are way too smart. That is another terrific video and there are at least two areas where those curbs would work for me in our backyard. You not only entertain but you get my creative brain working overtime. I would like my wife to see this video but she would say, "why aren't you building something like that for us?" The answer: because I'm building guitars. lol Well done Michael.
That’s genius!
Thank you so much Austin!
About how many feet will a single bag do?
Nice custom look, but is this cheaper than readily available products?
Awesome idea. Love your channel, new subscriber.
*^* Ever thought about a diy concrete hot tub?!?
DUDE!!!!!!!
Yes yes yes! I don’t like any of the traditional landscaping bricks and borders from the store. This is perfect.
Could you use rapid set for making cobble papers in ziploc bags?
Excellent idea!!.
I never thought you would be so sloppy with your caulk, tho~
You dirty boy, you!!.
How does this video only have 11k views?
I actually have this stuff in my trunk to make
Thought it was one of my ideas that ma fail. So glad I found your video now I know it will work. Could I put a 1/2 inch garden steak in to be able to drive them in the ground??? Ya know after it has set some? I am new to cement anything. Beginner so any advice would help. Thanks
Margaret
Love your videos. How would your curve this? Also can you do a video on concrete tabletop with a lip?
I've been looking for something to support the skirt got the Trailer Home. The land lord cut a tree down and the roots are breaking up leaving a hole that changes every year.
cool
I love your creativity. Any ideas for repurposing downpost?
Good channel
We need to concrete colab
What did u lube it with?...LUV THIS
Any idea how this would work using the dry pour method?
Looks nice. I tried the Quick Crete dye but it faded after a few months, even after I added many times the instructed amount. Anyone else has any luck with it?
Integral concrete colours are much better to add. Uv will still fade to a degree but not as bad.
My street (country town) has no curb/guttering on the road. I am thinking of using this for that. How do you think a dry pour would go????
Confession. I thought that said glitter. I'm still impressed, but without sparkle. 😁
Did you line the driveway? If so, how did it turn out?
will this work with aluminum gutters?
Officer Thinking!!!
So I am trying this and I have a few questions for Michael. Maybe tips for others.
1. I cut my forms to 40 inches and one bag of concrete didn't fill the two of them up. not sure if that is variance in the bag, the amount of water 4.5 quarts, or something else.
2. I got two gutters to do this and one was bent. I cut them and kept them stacked for a a day or s
@Michael Builds
Could use it as a parking barrier
Can you please make an outdoor kitchen? Like the ones that go for over seven grand in Home Depot. I’m very sure you’d be able to make them for much less.
I’m working on plans for one 😉
I need your help. I’ve poured 3 Countertops . The third one is for burner. It has a small crack. I put rebarb in it to help. My question is what is the best way to cover the crack. To where it is less noticeable It has cracked twice. Trying not have pour it again.
300K subscribers ....... I bet you didn't see that coming when you did your first one! ;o)
You guys get those gutters in extruded ally I think ....... How about using that and taking a small plennishing hammer to the relevant faces to give a cool effect?
👍💪
How much concrete did you use on that 10' gutter section?
Michael, how long would you say these curbs need to cure in their forms before taking them out to fully cure? I worry I'm going to take it out too soon and crack it. I'm assuming 24-48hrs? Thanks! Love your videos!
Have you ever tried using aircrete? Or would that not be strong enough? Might make it lighter weight.
Nice Curb Appeal.
#STAYSAFE
#PHILLYPHILLY 🇺🇸
Skateboarders rejoice
Is this a plastic gutter or aluminum?
Plastic
A bit late….anyone developed a lazy corner vice 90 degrees!?
HEY YOU CAN'T PUT CONCRETE IN THERE!
Oh that's nice. Never mind. Use what you got and see things a whole new way.
Don’t cut your hand when cutting off edge!!! Gloves 🧤 !! Mask 😷!! Safety glasses 🥽 please! Love. The videos!! You could have added a threaded rod and a indented spot for a nut???
