That came out very cool. At first, I thought you were making a paver stone walkway, but this polished, multicolor piece is so much cooler. My vote is to put some legs under it and use it as a table top.

I was thinking the same thing. it would make a nice bench. I would probably have put 2-3 rebar across for extra strength. and may not put the 2nd concrete so you do not loose the cool pattern embossment.
Patio pavers that have a sealed top can get expensive. Just priced a small area for my daughter's new house. You just gave me the perfect solution! Thank you.
Everything looks so professional now! Glad u took the plunge and are doing this full time! Good luck Michael 👍 💓 could you make a concrete chess board and pieces??
its nice to have a table for the grill~! I was thinking this would take it one step further for Michaels pallet build bar top. Using plastic celling tiles in the mold
I love how that came out, it could be a cool small bench seat for the patio, or you could use it form or decorate a walk way or the floor as a focal point, you could even make a very elegant coffee table with it. Truly awesome
I found that if I spray WD40 in my mix bucket the mud don't stick to the walls. Cleaning your bucket with a swish of water and a dry rag. Saving me from throwing buckets away.
@@judyevans6074 Hose your buckets and tools always after each use. When I have to mold legs for the benches I mix mud , pour my mold and clean my bucket then I start over again. I thought well if I grease my molds lets try the bucket and it works! makes the clean out so much easier.
I just spray out my bucket as soon as I'm finished using what's in it and it all comes out. I'm resurfacing concrete walls. Still using the same bucket. No wd40 used and I've never had a problem
Great idea and good friend, I’m digging the new series. The epoxy really did make it pop and set it off. Definitely giving me ideas for my future builds. 👍🏼
Very cool!! I'm thinking shelf or table...How about colored epoxy in the grid lines instead of concrete?😀 Then you'd also see the little 4 leaf clover points, too!
Dude...I have been watching you from the start and I gotta say Big Kudos man...you really have demystified making things out of “concrete” and made it fun in the process. Keep up the awesome work instructing us tryers and learners of new skills... you’re a great resource man. Cheers, Greg
Looks nice buddy. A heat gun is your friend when using using epoxy. Pops all those bubbles and helps level it out. Also any particles in the air can create fish eyes. It's a lot like painting a car.
Use corrugated metal to make a box fill with concrete to make waves. Make different size boxes to make different size pavers or tables or whatever. You could fill in the waves with resin or different colored concrete like you did here or leave it rough. There is always the baking isle in your favorite craft store. They have all sorts of candy moulds, cake pans, and such that could be used for concrete.
Nice job! When I see the finished product, I think you can make several more and use them as imbeds on a concrete patio pour. Or as large pavers/stepping stones in a garden project.
That was so cool …. Since Halloween is coming up, how about getting some headstone 🪦 molds? I used concrete in the past but the mortar mix would probably work awesome.
One day could you please do a video about the different uses for the different types of mortars, concretes and/or cements available in the home store. Like a guide us viewers can always reference before a project. I always get stuck in the cement isle, comparing products for a half hour before I make a selection. I'd love to be more familiar with what each type of mix does, and the best mix for which type of job. Love your channel, your presentation, and tremendous production value. Thanks for everything!
@@shannabolser9428 There are too many variations of Concretes, Mortars, and Cements. Maybe it would be a good idea to explain the best all-around product, and the applications where something else would be better than the all-purpose.
I've noticed a number of comments about using this method for patio pavers. Here in Florida we use pavers AND concrete for our patio or lanai floor surfaces. Use this method with caution if you're thinking about a walking surface. They become deadly slippery with any amount of moisture - even early morning dew can mean a trip to the ER.
That was very cool. It almost looked like there was a glass top on it, that would make a pretty outdoor coffee table. 1st time checking out your videos and they are very entertaining like the sense of humor.
That is great. It would be great to hear your thoughts on how to clean up everything after a pour, the tools, bucket, etc... Or is it all one time use? Thanks!
Cool looking paver! I tried the flow control in a batch of concreate, its really weird stuff. definitely made the concrete more "liquid like" and minimized the bubbles in the end casting. Only problem is there is a never ending white powder that keeps coming off the casting that i assume is the flow control.
Awesome project! I am a CNC woodworker (hobby). Now you have me thinking about a CNCing out a design, glue that design to the base of a mold, and then use this technique for a 2 tone/color custom project.
Turned out great!!! You could use it a sign backing and make mold of the lettering and pour on top in epoxy. Would be a really heavy sign though, but should last forever :)
That looks incredible! We made concrete countertops using your method and they turned out AMAZING! Unfortunately because I didn't seal them, they are now stained with cooking oil. Could you make a video on how we could clean/paint/improve the look of them? Thank you for any suggestions!
I'm about to add an addition to the side of my shed for my motorcycles because they take up too much room in my shed and those would be awesome to make my flooring with
Love this new series. Hope to see many more outside the box concrete ideas. Don't understand what it is about it but I could watch this stuff all day.
That came out very cool. At first, I thought you were making a paver stone walkway, but this polished, multicolor piece is so much cooler.

He does have those little concrete buckets he filled, lol. Shortest bench ever.

I can see using a number of these as oversized pavers for a patio or a space for the grill.
its nice to have a table for the grill~! I was thinking this would take it one step further for Michaels pallet build bar top. Using plastic celling tiles in the mold
I had the same thought.
Nice idea but it would be really slippery for paver or walking on, unless you don't do epoxy? Or add puncture lines in it for friction
@@foofstarr4856 Good thought. Maybe figure a way to " perforate" it to help with traction as well as drainage
