After becoming disabled at just 25yrs of age after an injury 12yrs ago I totally agree with Robert...do NOT take one moment with health and/or love in your life for granted. At any moment things can be taken away, and it is often the most simple things in life that are significant once lost.

Robert Greene was an author I needed to discover, for me to rediscover some painful truths about myself that I try to ignore. I saw myself on an obsessional path of learning and improving, but only for the purpose of resisting my true character, rather than accepting it. I appreciate his line about not being able to plastic ourselves out of our character. This has lead me to a very painful state of mind, but I can heal with this, just like I've healed with so many other things in the past.

Robert Greene is a great role model for particularly young people. Him listening to his own inner voice and purpose even after being told by an editor that he'll never be a great writer and that he should go into business school. That is what people need to learn. Follow your intuition otherwise you will never be happy. Even if your job is unfulfilling find something, a hobby even, that will fulfill you. He's spot on about running out of time. People needs to start working while they are in high school to see hat they want to do. This is true for starting a family as well. Everything needs to be set up by 30 years old.

Re: Getting out there and trying. My son has been playing (then a toy) piano since he was 1 yr old, and enjoys it. I encourage him to play anywhere and everywhere from school talent shows to train stations in France. He learned to sing in the church choir and in 2018 sang at McDonald's GospelFest ballad and rap. His compositions resembles background music to movies so I believe the next step would be for him to piano at old age/recovery facilities. Might brighten up🎆 someone's day, including his own, to be appreciated💓.

Most things he said resonate in my mind, is as if he was talking my mind in many subjects. I always tell my kids that mistakes are mistakes only in the second you realize things didn’t turn out the way you wanted them, but as soon as you start learning from them, they are lessons, but you CAN’T make that mistake again. Love the “future oriented” part, I always think in specific situations, will this matter in a week, will this matter in a month? And then focus on that time.

I really resonate a lot with this author. I feel like we inherently know what he writes but he has the ability to materialize these ideas into written words

    Hi Lewis!
I have been watching your videos from time to time and I have to admit that, without you, I would have never met Robert Greene.
You, Lewis is like a Big brother I have never had and was my way to get close to my long lost father, Robert Greene.
I have been reading Mr. Greene's book and I have to admit It changed my outlook in life.
It made me realize my full potential and how humbling the world could make you in mere seconds.
I love Mr. Greene's observation skills, I wonder how many thoughts he has when he goes inside a zoo?
I will definitely catch up to Mr. Greene's next autograph signing, if he even does that at his age haha.
    Thank you Lewis.
    Thank you Mr. Greene.
    Without you guys.
I would have never found myself.

No Way was Robert showing "weakness" when sharing his three truths at the end - if anything how self-empowering he became by doing that and if anything, he is pioneer on multiple levels - paving the way for us to learn from as we navigate our own lives.

So disrespectful to not capitalize his name. Insulting him like that shows you to be a very rude person.

@@suzanneemerson2625what are you on about? It looks like they're using speech to text like I am using speech to text to reply back to you.
If you read what they wrote you'll see they didn't capitalize the letter i when they were talking about themselves either etcetera. I'm using speech to text and I'm not going to go through this and correct punctuation etc.
      Don't sweat the small stuff.

Im 52 and starting a podcast soon and to hear someone say that the WORST THING EVER IS TO BE 55 or 60 and not be successful. I have been a server or bartender all of my life and now I’m unable to do that kind of physical labor, but I still have bills to pay bills to pay. It’s NEVER TOO LATE unless I’m dead👍. That might be a lil’ late.

It's never too late to be who you've always wanted to become. Everything you have been through has made you who you are. If it's something you really truly want in life then go after it and do not give up. You probably won't succeed at accomplishing your goals the first try around but that's perfectly fine! Just simply by having the courage to do something that you want in life means that you were doing better than average better than most, because most people don't even take a chance on themselves. Life is about making it, not who makes it the fastest. I hope you can use something from that. 😊
