LYRICS:
Get The Gang Back Gavin Dunne 2016
Hi there!
Well my friends, it’s been a long, long time
But we’re still kickin’ and we’re in our prime
Out of the glare of the limelight
Walking the path of the wise
We got the flare for a new fight
Flyin’ the frantic skies
Oh!
Sendin’ out a call!
Oh!
Watching over all, yeah we’re gonna...
Get get the gang back together!
It’s getting closer
Get get the gang back together!
Keep watching over
So grab the guys and gather up the girls
Join the threads to weave a better world
Bringin’ the fire and the right stuff
Raining it down from above
Cavalry’s here and we play rough
Cause losing is never enough
Oh!
Sendin’ out a call!
Oh!
Watching over all, yeah we’re gonna....
Get get the gang back together!
It’s getting closer
Get get the gang back together!
Keep watching over
Are you with me my friends?
Let’s see the world as it could be
Oh!
Sendin’ out a call!
Oh!
Watching over all, yeah we’re gonna...
Get get the gang back together!
It’s getting closer
Get get the gang back together!
Keep watching over
This song has been popular for longer than overwatch has been now.
Not really
@@elitegamer21005 its true tho
As a guy with 2k+ hrs on OW, I agree
This song is better than Overwatch deserves IMO.
Why?
When "Last online over 1 year ago" turns to "Online"
Almost 2 years for me. Yeesh XD
Best comment here
That happened for me, when they begin that temporary "Classic Overwatch" event... After the OW2 appearance - and the game's forced change into a Battlepass-based system -, i decided it's better, if i delete it from my PC...
This, Hell to Pay, and Jet Fuel Heart have to be the most energetic songs you've released this year. I love it.
First half of 2016 had a lot of slower, more abstract/experimental songs. I know people missed the more straighforward, energetic fun ones so that's been the goal with the last few ;)
Not to say I don't love the non-energetic stuff (Day the World Died is one of my favorite songs ever), but this just seems where you're having the most fun yourself.
+miracleofsound salut mon gars sa roule
You forgot Fires Fade ;).
+DrJonesPHD62
Tru. Hell to pay's chorus always sends happy and fun vibes.
Keep coming back to this for Nostalgia sake, actually left a comment back when it first released. God, Overwatch really was something special wasn't it? Very sad, and honestly impressive how Blizzard managed to mess this one up
Hello my beautiful Sound Bites!!! Please share this song with fellow Overwatch fans if you enjoy it guys, it really helps me more than you know. Thanks for the amazing response :)
Big luv
I've been waiting for this since overwatch came out; _was_ _not_ _disappointed!_
We're called Sound Bites? Good to know. Great song, as well.
I really hope this turns out like dark souls 3 to where you make more then one song for the game. It might just be me but I personally believe Overwatch is turning out to have one of the best back stories for most games and it has so much potential.
please do a battleborn :(
I like it how you always try to catch original style of the source material. :)
From the very start, the music evokes the entire spirit of what Overwatch's story is trying to be. You, Gav, are absolutely brilliant at capturing the essence of the subjects of your music with every last bit of each and every song. I'm always a tad late to each new song, but every time I'm absolutely stoked to hear it, and once again, you have blown my expectations out of the water!
"Story"
Key word, "trying"
@@threePwny to say "trying" is to be generous
@@nemanjastanimirovic155 Well, the original OW had a proper story, it's just it begun from several different places, as - by the videos - the original organization was disbanded, 'cause it had too much influence internationally. Leaders begun to fear the organization, and made a collective demand to force them to disappear. But the threats, which call them into existence were only waiting for the chance, so they begin to coming back... And this was about the point, were the story with a bunch of ex-official-threat-force-turned-into-vigilantes came back, and the game itself begun. During the game developed, with more heroes and maps and playmodes, which backed up the story continuity.
So, it HAD a story. Maybe not the most original, or greatest story, but it still existed! (And, as the original comment doesn't rated the story, only stated it's existence, the original statement is still 100% true!)
@@Vereentis Ok so it's been two years since I made this comment, so I'm not sure why I made it in the first place. I think I was trying to reference that the og game didn't have any sort of campaign, but the trailers heavily focused on the story which wasn't represented in almost any way in the actual game. At least I think that was the case, because I really couldn't say considering I never touched the game myself. So yeah, I have no clue why I made this comment.
I thought the lyrics for a moment was "Get get the gang bang together" and my first reaction was "Did Jim write this?"
Great song Gav
NOW I CAN'T UNHEAR IT
+LeonSylon Same lol
I like to have Gavs songs play in the background while I play other games. I had to alt tab and check the lyrics just to see if it actually said gang bang or not. Seems like I am not the only one with the dirty mind.
haha yes 😂
Overwatch Rule 34 strikes again.
If Blizzard ever makes an animated series for overwatch this should be its opening theme.
There already is an animated series...
No there isn't; they just release animated shorts now and then as promotional material. It's not an actual series.
Was literally just about to type that, but I checked to make sure no one beat me to the punch. Looks like I was beat :D
I must agree, Blizzard needs to get on that, it's clear that they can do it by the animated shorts. and its would be benaficial to the game as well, as the show can expand on the lore.
And then Gearbox needs to make Battleborn cartoon so that the whole Overwatch vs Battleborn rivalry can spread to different media. Modern cartoons fandom could use something like old He-Man vs Thundercats rivalry.
Damn you. I just wanted to go to sleep. Now. Not an hour later. I will get you for this. You can run like a leopard but there's gonna be hell to pay
That comment would have been a million times better if you had "Shepard" somewhere in your name
It would have been, but I have to settle for Blaise Skinner.
+Balázs Szűcs Holy shit another balazs
Who's the first?
My Grandad, and my middle name is balazs
Two Overwatch songs in one day? I can get behind this.
This one, and Dan Bull's, right?
Yep
+JohnfuckingSnow lmao same
After over one year is this still my favourite Overwatch Song. I love it. Thanks you very much for creating this great work.
It's weird. When I first hears this song I thought that it was "okay". But I've been listening to it for the past 3 days! It's so compelling and amazing. Everytime I listen it gets better and better. Miracleofsound.I don't know who you are yet, but you just got yourself a new subscriber!
Some of my own favorite songs are growers :)
it's called the Mere-Exposure Effect.
It's when the more familiar you are to something, you like it more.
It's why listening to a song that at first sounds weird over and over slowly makes the song better.
The more you brain hears it, the more "familiar" it gets to the song.
Either way, it's a great song.
Your production is so GREAT that I even can't understand how somebody can dislike it. I listen to your songs over two years for now and I heard all of your songs and there is not any single one I just don't like. All of them are amazing and full of your hard work, so PLEASE dont stop doing what you're doing so well and Good Luck ;-)
Thank you, I appreciate that :) I put a lot of time into the production side of things
:)
Gav, I know you've been struggling lately with creativity. I know what it's like; I haven't written anything for so long and since I've gotten a job as a composer now it's been even harder with the pressure. I just wanted to say that this year especially, you have just gone from strength to strength. I remember seeing a few back in The Escapist days and thinking "yeah, this guy is pretty cool" but only a few ever really blew me away. Now, every song you've released this year alone has floored me. I don't know how you keep it up, but I am so happy that you do.
thank you!! glad you r digging the newer songs :)
We'll always enjoy good content, good sir. :3
How you manage to take a game I generally despise, and still have me absolutely love your song about it is beyond me. That is truly magic.
Now this is the song Overwatch deserves. You did an amazing job, Gavin!
Thank you!! Glad ya like it :)
I agree, its just a-mei-zing :D
#avecle6 ! Listened to this before today's match was awesome. Our gang, the Rogues, really got the Gang Back Together !
This is honestly my new favourite song from you... Well okay, nothing can beat London Town but this is pretty close. Great work as always!
Ha! Challenge accepted....
+miracleofsound please :)
Gav your range continues to amaze me, from synth-pop, to a Gothic dirge, to heavy metal, and everything in between, you always manage to pull it off. Awesome work as always.
It always amazes me when someone can take something and just capture its essence in musical form...you're amazing!
What makes me really admire you is that you do this and compose your own music with the intention of entertainment, not profit and revenue. Because you make music based off games, in the eyes of some you may not seem like a legitimate musician, but that does not stop you from making music about the games we love. You make people want these songs to be in the games themselves, and that is an achievement you can hold high above your head and say, "this has come of me doing what I love. I am proud."
All your songs are like wine, with age better and better. Your work always give me emotional impact, sending me back in time.
Even though my love for Overwatch is dead, this video truly stands the test of time, shit just takes me back 😎
I really miss those days when Overwatch was at his pick. It's crazy how many years has passed. I want this game to be good but It hurts so much to watch how they kill this game only out of pure greed. "You Either Die a Hero, or You Live Long Enough To See Yourself Become the Villain" never seem more accurate
This is an amazing song that wonderfully captures the colorful and fast action of Overwatch. Definitely very energizing and motivating. Great job again, Gav!
Gav, i know you get a lot of stuff talking about how your music has helped people through hard times in their lives, and i wanted to shamelessly add another note to that pile :)
Ive been dealing with several mental health issues recently, and ended up being hospitilised after an... attempt. i was in a youth behavioral health hospital for two weeks, full of hostile roommates, strict staff, and hellish environments. it was one of the worst two weeks of my life, and although it helped a bit, it was a terrible experiences. i would cry myself to sleep almost every night, wanting to go back home, and my parents pulled me out early to keep that from hurting me even more.
But i had memorized almost the entirety of level one and many other of your songs by that point. i started singing myself to sleep instead of crying. i would lip sync "The Grind" in the gym instead of playing basketball with the other patients. and the second time i needed to be placed outside of home for my condition, i would pass the time playing "Redemption Blues" on the guitar they had.
The point of this rambly comment is to say that your music has had a big part in keeping my life the way it is now. and since finding the podquisition a few months ago, that has been even further strengthened. you are more than just a musician Gav. You are an artist.
I cant thank you enough for what youve done, for me, and the lives of everyone who loves you and your songs.
Keep up the fucking brilliant work Gavin Dunne. Your sound truly is a miracle.
Hey! Thanks for this message. I'm sorry you're going through such shitty times but I'm glad the songs help you through. Please stay strong & take care of yourself. You deserve happiness and I'm rooting for you to kick the ass of your mental health issues. Wishing you much joy & positivity for the future :) Gav
thank you Gav
You have no idea how almost identical our situations are. I'm glad to see someone else who's gone through some of the same shit as I also used Gav's music for comfort. I remember when Gav released Friends and replied with one of the nicest and warmest messages, one of the most amazing experience.
It sucks that the hospital you went to wasn't all that great. Trust me, there's some out there that are actually very good. If you're in the SoCal area, feel free to ask. Anyways, I know it's hard to believe that it'll get better (and trust me, I heard that all the time) but it actually will. If you ever need help with anything, feel free to contact me anyway you'd personally like. Stay strong fellow MoS fan.
Holy shit Gav! You knocked it out of the park with this one. This made me consider giving Overwatch a try. You're on a hot streak this year.
this was really good Gavin, like you said on twitter after last month you are unsure about releasing this the way it is but I personally feel it's another amazing piece of work you have created.
Think it means annoying.. if not sorry :P
Your stuff is amazing, just sing what you feel like and have fun. There are always people who complain anyways
+miracleofsound Dunno if direct reassurance from strangers on the Internet is what you're after, but you're pumping out fantastic songs as always :)
Hey, Gav. Just wanted to say Hell to Pay is one of your best, in my opinion. Keep up the good work, man.
When in doubt just make another one. You will see which is better because of your Skill
I don't know what you were worrying about man, you absolutely nailed it!
Gav, i know that you had some artistic blocks and some serious concerns with this song. but this feels like some of my favorite songs you've ever done, (reminds me of most of level 2 actually), and i'm not sure if its your voice, or maybe the more orchestral-rock set of instruments/synths you used, but ir makes me feel feels. i know it isn't my view that matters but i feel like your fears in the quality were unfounded, at least based on this final version. i love the energy, love the drum/bass line especially (i listen with the bass cranked pretty often). this has the same feel that made me listen to you i the first place. and i really love it. first time i've felt compelled to leave feedback, that's how much i like it. please keep rocking, love you man :)
I'm glad to hear that! It's always nice to know that I've made long time fans happy :)
+miracleofsound you have! I know that you have some concerns with your sound at times but all we want is to hear you make music and I love every bit of it. and the ones who don't are the vocal (very VERY small) minority. :)
+miracleofsound I like most everything you release, but this is pretty much an instant favorite. This and Dan Bull's Overwatch song (don't think I didn't hear you over there) absolutely made my day, and I'll probably never play the game. I just absolutely connect to them, to the point that my eyes are watering if I sit and focus on the music. Helped re-motivate me, if that makes sense.
+Miracleofsound I'll try to give some criticism of what I noticed wrong/unfitting, and I really hope that you understand that it might be something that's an issue of taste, and it's purely subjective.
I'll just add that I do like majority of your songs, but lately the ones I've disliked were the uncharted song and this one.
Big part of why I didn't get into it is the build up and accumulation coming off as "Lackluster".Specifically the moments when build-up "released" were 1:03, 1:55, 2:42 - They had cool background cinematics, but they felt "held-back" in terms of the accumulation and song style.
This also had a bit too many changes in tone/style. - 0:13, 0:27, 0:38, 0:50, 1:03, 1:16, 1:28, 1:41, 1:53, 2:06, 2:19, 2:31, 2:43, 2:57 . I found it a bit hard to follow the constant change in tone and style, and the difference between them was usually rather large.
The whole song had like 5~6 different styles to it, and with constant changes it was hard to get invested in the song.
+KoinGaming +miracleofsound but I feel like that gives it the high energy feeling. and the almost eclectic variety of styles and themes is what gives gav his sound in my opinion. but I get that my opinion might not be the same as yours. curious to know what you felt this lacked compared to his other songs?
Gavin, I could kiss you this year. One of my biggest issues last year was just how much Level 6 seemed to be lacking in just fun and happy songs, Level 6 really needed more songs like London Town, Road Rage, Going Nuclear, Evacuate, and I Am Pudge. We needed like one or two more such songs last year. This year looks like it is going to be a blast.
Gavin, every now and again I listen to a song of yours and think "Yeah, that's pretty good." Then I listen to it again. After that I can't not listen to it at least three or four times a day.
Way back when I had it with the New Black Gold or Sovngarde Song, Redemption Blues, Take It Back, You Died or Binary Divide but lately every single song you put out is that way and that is just fantastic. You don't wanna know how often I listened to Road Rage. More often than I watched Mad Max, and that means _a lot_. Keep it up Gav, even if you doubt yourself sometimes, just try. And if something doesn't work, try again. We'll wait.
Gav is _really_ spoiling us lately. Man, the quality... SO GOOD! Fires Fade, Forever Flame, Hell to Pay, ... , and now this! Love it!
Honestly why doesn't this game have a story mode? They clearly have a plot to the whole thing, but they only tell it through trailers and those comics they release. GET ON IT BLIZZARD.
Honestly, I don't know why won't they release something like a third-person sandbox or something. Probably they don't want to make "main heroes" out of someone personally and overindulge on the story. Or, maybe, they will go the Warcraft way and first they will have the Overwatch and all the comics and books, and then they will make a single-player game out of it, but only eventually.
I believe, in 2-nd Overwatch will be something like that.
«I want to believe»

The very first miracle of sound song I ever listened to…
I watch this and think to myself... How awesome would it be if Overwatch got a single player/co-op mode in the near future, playing out an awesome story with these characters?
That fact is the reason I won't buy Overwatch. At least until a price drop
I would love a character specific DLC for £1.50 which included challenges and a short back story and if that sounds cheap then £1.50 X 21 = £31.50 that's nearly a full game
There is one now... kinda. They sometimes make events in which you play a specific part of the Story against an A.I.. Just if you missed it.
Little did you know you were right, Overwatch 2.
Now Overwatch 2 is on the way
Thanks Gav.
You made me spend £35 on a game purely because you made an absolutely kick-ass song.
I HOPE YOU'RE PROUD OF YOURSELF! ;)
I waited for so long!
This is so great! It gave me goosebumps! It's a great blend of rock and orchestral styles that feels properly exciting and heroic. Thank you so much for making this!
By Oden, where the fuck where you my entire life? Rarely seen such a talented musician, found you via your colab with Dan Bull on his Overwatch Song (also love him and his music). Just bought Level 5 and this Song on Bandcamp, wish I had more money buy more D: Also thank you for tending to my audiophile needs and giving me .flac versions
Oden... like formless Oden? he did a bloodborne song if you are interested mate.
More like, Oden, the Allfather
oh... Odin... you mean Odin mate.
+Flash Gmaing depends on the transcription mate. Oden is the Swedish version. Neither is the original, which is Óðinn
yeah fair enough. sorry if I came off as a jackass. lets just call him Oden the Odinfather from now on shall we?
Brings tears of joy to my eyes, my favorite artist making a song about my (currently) favorite game. And not only that, but the song is hella awesome! Good job Gav!
I heard you had some concerns over this song Gav but I have to say this is a pretty awesome. At first I thought the tempo was a little too fast, but it grew on my pretty quickly and by the end I loved it. I wish I knew more about music to give you some constructive criticism to ease your mind, but if you're not satisfied with how this turned out don't be afraid to make some revisions or do an outright rewrite.
Just remember that even your 'worse' song can bring happiness to someone's day. So don't let your fears or internal critic stop you from striving to be better and enjoy what you make. Because it's not about failing or suceeding, it's about trying and learning.
This song got me seriously pumped. It feels like I can play Overwatch for hours on end without getting tired.
Who can dislike a masterpiece like that?
2k likes 33 dislikes. we are safe, some say overwatch is bad, and to me, this song is the opposite of what they say overwatch is.
+[SRG] Anikin414
I never really liked Overwatch (didn't even play it but it looks like much fighting and less "watching over all") Still, I think that the lore gives some nice Inspiration for some really good songs and this one makes me cry on a regular basis. The defending for a brighter future is just great. Overwatch itself is not really like that IMO, but the song is, so I don't care
I hope you got what I wanted to say, I'm not a native speaker and it's 3 AM here.
This is going to be the PERFECT song for my next High School Reunion! Thank you so much! I can't wait for the cheers to erupt as the mood gets even better!
Great job once again, Irish Jesus!
If the game had as much story in it that this song does, I might have actually considered buying it.
Bloody great work, as usual, Gav. If Overwatch was an animated series, I'd petition for this song to be used for the intro.
Overwatch 2 announced.
Me: "Get, get, the gang back togheter!"
For serious. Watching Zero Hour made my eyes water. It has the same hype and awe feeling of watching the very first Overwatch trailers.
We're getting the gang back together boys.
Austin Goodwin Not just you, buddy… Not just you…
Gang still together?
"Let's see the world for what it could be..."
There, just right there, you got me with all my heart just as the overwatch shorts did
Listening this song on repeat for the launch of OW2. So unbelieveably hyped!!!
Soo, uh, is now a bad time to ask?
@@liubei3058 what is it, my fellow friend?
@@Newkid27 overwatch 2, as far as I know, turned out to be… well, under enjoyed.
@@liubei3058 well, blizzard made some shitty decisions, I can't argue with that
But for me, if we're talking about the gameplay experience, it is a great game. It returned the feeling I had when I was playing overwatch for the first couple of years. Now I really want to play overwatch and actually enjoy it (yeah, blizzard still are bastards, but I can live with that)
Especially OW feels good if you have friends, if you can actually "get the gang back together"
In result, despite all I genuinly like playing Overwatch right now
@@Newkid27 well, I won’t crap on your fun. If you’re enjoying it, then I hope you’ll continue to.
Damn, didn't think you'd be making a song on this one. I like how you focused on the team-feeling of the song. Well done Gav!
Perfectly accurate epic overwatch song for this day before the start of the beta access of Overwatch 2 and... get the gang back together !
I'm simply amazed at how, every time, you manage to nail the feel of the game you sing about. Every. Damn. Time. Enough with the low self confidence, you're awesome.
Hits differently now.
Coming back to this song after playing a load of Overwatch. I can honestly say there's never been a song that sums up a game so perfectly as this one. Good job!
So, now I can't wait for new song for Overwatch 2! Hype!
Yes, it has been a long, long time since I stopped to listen to any of your songs. No, I've yet to play Overwatch, but with a title like "Get the Gang Back", I expected something energetically uplifting and bold. This song did not disappoint. Thank you. :)
R.I.P. Overwatch
Omg, the video is epic, and it is amazing how you managed to take what was best from the demo and build up an even better song! Imo the new parts add a slightly more serious vibe this song needed. Love it, Gav, thank you for your beautiful music and for constantly displaying all the different aspects of creative work.
I've read by a mistake "Get the Gang Bang"... To much Internet for today, time to sleep.
Well, Overwatch has become known for more than just online shooting nowadays...
GET TEH GNAG BANG TEGETHA
@@lazycranberry It's getting closer~!
@@filipnassen9076 I dunno, that sounds like online shooting to me. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Rein, roadhog and zarya would break some people.
That one clip of reinhart protecting an Omnic is in my opinion one of the most genius animated shots I have seen in a while. its just that you can perfectly see what had happened in a nanosecond and the slowmotion of reinhart seeing the Molotov coming at him and just having enough time to put up his shield was brilliant
Amazing song, I can't wait fo more or your art (it's not just music) :D
Honestly I gotta thank you for this song, because it got me relaxed and motivated before an interview for a new job.... Which I actually got on the spot! Seriously, thanks for that, and keep doing what you do best!
Well fuck, now it looks like i HAVE to buy Overwatch.
Its a great game by all means, but do note the netcode is the worse we have seen in awhile (plus most servers that aren't in the states or EU are occasionally offline or don't even exist) and massive hitboxes bog the game tremendously, if you can look past these then there isn't really anything wrong with the game.
There are a few exceptions.
i played it when it was free. it's like TF2, except the AI is horrible, there's nearly no story, no customizable loadout, 1/4 as many voice commands, less funny dialogue, stock weapons, really bad melee system, and a harder to use game selection.
And no pyrovision. i want to set people on fire with rainbows.
but other than that, i liked it.
You can have whatever opinion you want on the game, not gonna try to argue with that, but you shouldn't really _want_ the game to just be 'the next 'TF2'.
I must ask though, why is the game selection menu harder to use? From what I remember, the TF2 one tells you even less about itself, and doesn't give team tips (not that anyone listens to the 'too many snipers' tip :C)
I love this song so much. It is the new song that plays in my head whenever I unleash my ultimate.
GET GET THE GANG BACK TOGETHER!
I will be never tired of saying this ,Gavin you are a musician diamond , i love everysong you make, and well some songs are better than others for example this , jet fuel and hell to pay where brutal and amazing!!! the best of all the year, congrats my dear friend you have true talent for the music, and also why only 350 000 subs? that is a crime againts music.
thanks for the kind words :)
One of your Best Songs Ever but my Favourite would have to be "Trip to Vegas" the part at the end when it Crashes Freaking Hilarious
Just goes to show ya how content is like cream:
Good ones rise to the top
I listened to this song like 20 times in a row. Among the best you ever did, Gav!
This is the best out all the fan-made overwatch song. Change my minnd
I get shivers at the opening every time. This is one of my very favorites and easily one of your best so far! I love your music and all you do, best wishes mate!
It's a good reminder of how it was... It was...
Even though I have never played Overwatch, this has to be my favorite song you've made yet, can't wait for more great music
I'm actually not even a bit interested in Overwatch, but the song is great! Love the quick tempo it has and the sheer cheerfulness of it. Thanks:)
Edit: After listening to it more I feel it is a nice little throwback to some of your older songs that were less epic but more playful. And I still love it:)
I never got into Overwatch. But the song is still amazing.
Agreed, i hate it, but the song is so cheerful.
I honestly enjoyed this one a lot. Really fits the style and tone of Overwatch, upbeat and energetic
It really hurts how much blizzard has screwed over overwatch, this could have been a great franchise. But sadly we only have to live with the trailers we do have.
The game had such a massive potential that could have been used for so many things... Gosh, I thought that EA was bad until Blizz said to hold his beer
As long as it stays popular enough it might get the love it deserves one day. We can only hope
Dude you seriously make the best tribute songs I've ever heard
This song fills me with energy!
You are filled with determination
This song fills me determina OVERUSED MEME Sorry i had to...
Wow! you fit the "feel" of Overwatch really well! The energy! The horn sounds! You did a great job.
Are these... tears?
I ask myself that a lot listening to some of Gav's songs
No, it's liquid pride.
No that`s blood.
My man, my dude, you continue to boggle my brain cells with how amazingly you capture the feel of a game in music form. This song is head-boppin', toe-tappin' fun with a serious dose of grandeur that conveys the tone of the game in an absolutely sublime way. Keep on rockin', friend!
The official theme of post-lockdown parties
This actually made me feel better. I was feeling down because reasons and this actually boosted my mood enough to deal with those reasons. Thanks gav
I wonder if people will comeback here after Classic just got announced.
I did
this has the vibe of every shows opening i ever watched on tv as a kid in the 90's, really good song.
I WANT MORE

Man! Gav have the guts to get something epic, and turn it into Master Epic Level!! Thanks Dude!
I miss Overwatch
Same. I wish Overwatch 2 could have been better, with like _actual_ story and lore elements to it like the first one had. But _no,_ what we got instead was utter trash.
This and Dan Bull's '21 Heroes' are my favorite Overwatch songs. Top notch my friend.
I guess I play to much Dark Souls. When I read the title I thought it was "Get the Gank back" :D
Very good song though, Gavin. Keep them great songs going (Blood and Wine/Gaunter o 'Dim next I hope)!
My worst experience of a gank spank was invading three Havel cosplayers.

Wait for them triple Greatshield-onlys. :D
It is so ...

"fun"...
If only this game had a story. This would play in the opening sequence. My new favorite song, keep it up!
That stuff was known before the game was released though. I saw all that info and background way before it was released on the Overwatch website. I'm talking a legitimate story. Even Battleborn has more story than Overwatch and yet still has a solid multiplayer with more things being released for free. Plus they could do things like books and comics if they wanted too. They don't have to rely solely on pretty trailers or comics and books. That's the only thing Overwatch has going for it is it's own brand of free DLC. Overwatch has no story and singleplayer so it relied on pre released information. All of Battleborn's characters actually get some characterization with their own unlockable backgrounds. Overwatch (being made by Blizzard of all people) had massive potential with the usual Blizzard schtick: a solid story with great multiplayer. The only thing Blizzard going for it now is the taking a simple base idea and making something great. Overwatch is a good shooter but it is the barebones of the mechanic. Much like Warcraft and Starcraft were with RTS games for examples. I hope it doesn't seem like I'm coming off as a douche, I'm just trying to explain where I'm coming from.
There's a lot of people with similar mindsets like mine. I'm actually kind of glad whenever I look at the Overwatch page lol. Even if it was something like what Battleborn had and it gave the option to play things in a single player fashion with A.I allies, I would have contemplated getting it. That's why I got Battleborn because it has Local Splitscreen, a single player story, and the ability to play alone with bots. Overwatch has good lore but that's all it has. That's why I prefer Battleborn because it makes an effort at least. Plus the maker of Battleborn, as far as I know, has not said stupid shit like Jeff Kaplan. I've only heard of a few things he's said and seen the who Tracer's Ass fiasco. That was enough to make me shake my head in shame for Blizzard lol. Now that I think about it: I wonder why Gavin hasn't made a Battleborn song?
That's the thing though. I have crappy internet. Battleborn works when it is late and/or I'm the only person online. That's why the single-player, local co-op, and Bot's in battle made me get it. Overwatch has none of that so I can't get it or else it would just sit on my shelf. I'd play it but I wouldn't be able to play online. Even if I played it at my friend's houses who have fast internet, we couldn't play it together because there isn't splitscreen. I more than likely would like it as I enjoy fast paced shooter, even Call of Duty to a degree.
That's why I've watched gameplay. Still, 22? Battleborn had 24 from the start with more to be released. Lol, just kidding. Not trying to sound like a pompous ass. Just using sarcasm that the internet can't telegraph :)
That's right they did add a new character lol. Ana or something I think. Still, point is valid!
*more joking sarcasm the internet can't express lol* I love having regular conversations on youtube. Always amazes due to how few and far between they are.
I don’t even play overwatch and I love this
Hell, I play TF2 and this is beautiful.
jesus gav, what a f***ing song. I had goosebumps all the way through. Definitely one of my favorites with wake the white wolf and I am the night great job
I love how Reinnhardt protects human and omnic alike depsite his past with the machines
I--I--I have no words for how amazing and catchy this song is! I can't stop rewinding, and singing along. Definitely a reason for more subs.
0:29 I didn't realize how short Genji was until now...
That actually makes more sense though. Being a ninja and all.
he "died" at an young age so it makes sense that his preserved body can't grown any longer.
He doesn't look so short to me, it's just that Reinhardt is so ridiculously tall.
Simone Galesloot
3:08 tell that to Widowmaker
+Armageddragoon yeah he is about as tall as a young adult
He seems like a bit taller than average height to me. I think Simone has the right idea, he's just surrounded by super tall people. 😋
I like this song a lot. It reflects the spirit and energy this game has. I am not playing it myself, not really my kind of game. But even though I don't play it I think the Overwatch universe has a lot of potential to spark one's imagination. I love watching streams and admire the different characters. Every single one seems to be so different and has their own strengths and weaknesses. It's fun to watch, for anything can happen in this game. Just like this song is a lot of fun to listen to, I really do love it. Even though I don't exactly know what a Sound Bite is... but I guess I still have a lot to learn about this language. And here is a heart for more confidence:
If an Overwatch anime/cartoon ever came out, this should be the intro.
This is awesome Gav! I love the melody and lyrics. It really captures the spirit of Overwatch.
God this is making me wish for a proper story mode in Overwatch.
OR AN EVEN LONGER CINEMATIC MOVIE.
Like perhaps 2 hour long?
Ashbringer36 Exactly. I´d pay to watch it.
Hell, it wouldn´t be hard to come up with a plot. Just make a movie out of what happened before the game began, like what the Overwatch did back then.
Yet another spectacular song. This is might be my favorite- Along with Take it back, Man and machine and Cataclysm. Keep up the great work, Gav!
Gavin.... this song is just... BAD
FUCKING ASS! BEST SONG THIS YEAR! *HIGH FIVE!!!*
Eeeeeeeh this guy *finger guns*
Sir..... Put your gun down, or I'll be forced to disarm (completely unintended pun) you!
BARB DAMNIT BARB! (Please get the reference)
Carson Marlow Well, Yang's voice actress but yes
What about my team now?
I love the very rocky flair while still having the orchestral vibes in there, for soome reason I have tears in my eyes everytime I listen to it, coulnd't tell you why, great work, man.
