My Great Grandpa is a WW2 vet and loves watching me play video games but he mostly love when played a games based around history, and when i got this game and played it for him, he thought it was stupid for not making like WW1 battlefield and making about a imaginary war that trys to be WW2. At least that was not last game he saw me play(Thanks Red Dead Redemption for making my Great Grandpa smile before death)

i know what he means, the MG42 was a fierce and deadly machine gun but what they did, they took away what it was and made it into something that just not what it was made for, it was accurate, deadly, and it's high rate of fire made it a weapon that could sever limbs, but the other things they did, bolt action over 80 feet away to the chest was a deadly shot even from almost any gun that was a wound that could kill, but 15-30 bullets to kill an enemy from the 42, men who stormed those beaches on D-Day and faced that gun in pillboxes saw how deadly it was, a single 100 round belt could kill over 100 men, and the fact they took out the part that those bullets could go through more than one soldier is probably an insult to him especially the friends and brother he lost on the battlefield, and besides i agree with one comment on the game, it's a slap in the face to the veterans of WWII and it's like spitting and pissing on the graves of the men who fought and died, and i've lived with a person who disrespectfully stood on the grave of a soldier that died in 44 in the pacific war and just laughed, he didn't care about the fact he was buried next to his twin brother who died the same day on the sands of Iwo Jima in their early 20s, some people no longer respect the dead and those who died for our freedom, i may not be a veteran, i may have not been born during or before WWII but i've met a few men who fought and seen their brothers in arms die, and the fact they disgrace them and the memories of their dead friends and brothers by making that game look like something that was not real and almost made up by screwing with the history of it, especially the part where if you sniped an enemy in the head and a medic revived them gives kids who don't understand that a bullet to the head means death makes most who never learn this and become soldiers end up dead or angry because they can't understand why they couldn't save their friend, brother, or ally and forced to realize that such a game supposed to be based on history of a bloody and terrible event lied to them, it basically an insult to him and all those who survived the war

I'm not sure "Conscientious objector" is purely a Hacksaw Ridge reference, the definition of the phrase is "someone who doesn't want to join the military for moral reasons", which the protagonist of Hacksaw Ridge does qualify as... but I think the reference was to the phrase rather than that specific movie.

The cold war didn't have actual fighting, it was espionage, and was a race between America and Russia leading to multiple wars (Vietnam, Korean, Cuban missile crisis, tho that last one isn't a war, per se)

I’ve listen to this since it came out and still listening to it and it’s still a masterpiece and even after all this time I just noticed the reference to battle field 1 rap you guys did at the end there it was sneaky but it brought back so many memories I have with both games and I hope you guys still team up in the future to create even more masterpieces like this keep up the amazing work

I love the “I don’t discriminate” line soooo much. It helps show that war doesn’t care who you are, but that the enemy just sees you as another person to be killed! If someone finds that offensive then go away.
