This song actually makes me feel a very deep thing. I get its about a game, but I have friends and family in the military, lost ones, damaged people. War is horrifically destructive in way more ways than just battle carnage. This song hit me hard.

That line means so much to me because there is so much suffering and pain in the world and it’s sad to think that people have to go to war to just keep their country safe....why can’t we live in a world where we all get along?

Same question here. Why can't we live in a world like that? I have an answer. Because of the stupid people who want to start fights, wars, and every other sort of trouble. Because of those people this world never has true peace - because we are always at war... with ourselves, our own kind. We are never not at war. We will forever be at war as long as evil runs rampant in our world. This world is never going to be free from war until there is no more evil. We shouldn't worry about other countries as much as we should worry about the evil within our own.

this is the best of all the battlefield songs. Its shows the feel of the ww1 soldiers really really well, and displays the theme of the game. it sounds so noble. The other ones I've heard are basically: shooty shooty dead.

This isn’t a game based song to me. It’s a tribute to those innocent and guilty who fell in the trenches and the cities. The hope of victory and the war could end the next day. Those who took up arms to defend their homeland and are now one with the northern french fields

Grandpa Schmitz was in a war.
This song is actually pretty deep to me its more about how the soldiers joined ww1 thinking it was going to be an adventure and fun but soon learned it was anarchy, deadly, and would soon learn the cost of a modern war with the new weapons. Ww1 was a turning point for how war was viewed it was viewed as an end to a means. After this war it was shown to be a horrible thing

Gemtem It’s a slightly fictionalized World War 1 so sure it’s a game but it’s a game about a very real event.
Yeah my great grandfather died in the trenches, my grandfather died in the european front, and my entire family has been in the military. This song is more about ww1 and the soldiers experience in it then about the game. It starts with it basically saying they were excited to begin in the war. We ready our fire with a drum roll sound. But it quickly changes to a much darker tone. Just like ww1.

This touched me in a sort of cuz my great great grandfather fought in the war on the German side and yeah he lived until I was 11 and he used to tell me and my sis about the trenches and told us about the Christmas truce and this song reminded me of him
