  • Welcome back to our ZBrush motorcycle modeling series! In today's episode, we're tackling the swingarm - a crucial component that connects the rear wheel to the motorcycle's frame.
Our approach divides the swingarm into three main parts, starting with the tapered front section. Here, we'll introduce edge loops and use the Move Infinite Depth brush to adjust points, aiming for a shape that matches our references. Throughout, we'll employ tools like Qmesh, Clip Curve, and the ZModeler brush.
As we refine the swingarm's shape, paying close attention to proportions and angles is crucial, especially given the scarcity of some reference angles. This process might require improvisation, drawing inspiration from similar models and brands to fill in the gaps. Our goal is to achieve a form that feels right, even when specific references are lacking.
Throughout the episode, we'll delve into techniques for adjusting edge flow and extruding polygons, all while keeping an eye on the overall form and ensuring it aligns with the motorcycle's design.
Happy modeling, and we look forward to seeing you in our next session!
