How are you surprised that there is no Dolby Vision on a Samsung? There is no DV on ANY Samsung, and they are adamant about that. They have been pushing HDR10 since its inception.
I've heard s95b has issues when connecting PC, especially turning the Game Mode on, so my answer is no... 'cause I wanna use my TV with my RTX4090... It's so sad LG OLED has the weak point when drawing yellow colour, it is the only choice so far... I wish Samsung cares their softwares including the f**king tizen OS... their qd-oled pannel is astonishing... (Not fluent at English. I bought both the 65 and 55 inch, one for the living room the other for the bedroom. These are my first OLED TV's and they don't disappoint. The S95B is great for watching 4K movies and playing games. The recent firmware update seems to have fixed the sluggishness of the menus. I don't seem to have a problem with lag, everything runs fluid.I have no regrets with the S95B purchase this was a great buy. .
S95B is the first TV where HDR amazed me truly. Playing Horizon Forbidden West on PS5 in HDR showed me colors and image quality that I have never seen before from a TV. QD-OLED simply has the color brightness to make HDR pop right and with 1000+ nits peak it can look insane at times. Had C9 and G1 before S95B and while they were good TVs on their own, they are not close to S95B for sure. It is not even close. Shadow detail on S95B is amazing and brightness is crazy + Colors just pop making content look almost 3D at times.Hard to explain, needs to be seen (and not in a store, in full lighting - OLED first shines at home with lights dimmed or off obviously)
I'm glad you love it. Did you look at the A95K and still decide on Samsung? I am curious because over 1/2 my 4K UHD movies have Dolby Vision so that is a thing for me... I'm coming from LG B8 so it's tough to think about losing compatability... arrrgh. But tempting due to price of 55" in my market. Australia.

My S95B is amazing! I got the 55in so it seems that they are less prone to bending cause mine is perfect. I think there’s been too much hate for this TV right now. Yes there’s lag in the UI and there’s little things you can pick at it but over all it’s an incredible TV. I’d highly recommend over any TV this year.
How is the lag on yours? Mine can be pretty bad at times but I can’t be bothered to return it for and have been trying to simply live with it. How does yours get?
@@iLoskii you can’t pick up the tv holding the top corners. It’ll bend. Seen plenty of people in unboxing vids film themselves doing it. Just follow the instructions and you’ll be fine 👍
@@Giroutte when you say lag, do you mean gaming? The game mode is disabled out the factory, you have to go fairly deep into the settings to find it and enable it, should be zero noticeable lag after that.
By the way when I first purchased my Samsung S95B OLED TV in April 2022 at Best Buy in the USA, it cost $2,100. When Black Friday game in 2022, it was selling for $1,400 at Best Buy. 😭You sound like you located in the England with a British accent. I wish you made your TV stand to be sold in the United States. Wow, that stand is awesome and I plan to upgrade from a Samsung 55 OLED S95B to a Samsung 65 inch OLED in about 2 years and your stand would be perfect in my apartment.
You do understand that HDR10+ does the same EXACT thing that Dolby Vision does, it’s simply reading the metadata and displaying the dynamic range. Apple TV supports this, Amazon and even Hulu. Find the correct content to display HDR10+ and there’s your Dolby Vision. Many people are just so misinformed regarding Samsung and choose not to educate themselves
I am not sure how much a human can tell the difference in picture quality at a certain point. I just got a budget 65" TV under £400 and to me it is fantastic. It has everything apart from QLED it has dolby vision HDR1O HLG. dolby ATMOS sound through the sound bar (ARC) is amazing. I don't play games so not to sure how good it would it would be.
that's all that matters man, in the end what matters is what you watch and how you feel about it. Don't let others tell you what you're watching/ how you're watching is bad, just do your own thing. Videophiles and Audiophiles go way too far a lot of the times
I've had the SONY A9K for a week now. My mind is blown and my nights are long. Truly the best looking TV I've ever own and will be interesting to watch the review on that. As far as this Samsung S95B, I heard similar concerns across the board. Like how did they make the bezel that thin without making sure it wouldn't be compromised? I don't care how "affordable" a high tier TV is I can't forgive it being bent out of the box.
Nice review "QD-OLED" sir: pros (1. great picture quality) and cons (1. "the motion isn't quite as smooth as I would like it to be", 2. "Tizen OS = I have noticed how slow, "laggy" and buggy it can be", 3. No Dolby Vison support) . Could all of these be related to some slow processing power in part? the other part I can think of is that it could be the UI designed without resource optimization and/or reclaiming.
Very nice video. Im really interested in this tv but even more interested in the A95K so look forward to your video comparing them. The problem I have watching lots of videos of these tvs is the s95b is soft when watching normal sky tv but great with gaming, and the A95K is better with everyday viewing but not so good with gaming...Arrrrrgh!!
I have the 55" version no bending at all and truly stunning image. Yes the UI is laggy but updated to firmware 1420 via usb from Samsung website vastly improved it, also I mainly use Amazon fire cube which avoids any issues. Paired with Philips hue hdmi sync box makes this an amazing experience. Guess I was lucky (or just smart) but I only paid £1000 so made this a no brainer Vs the sub par lg c2, it needs some tweaking to get it perfect but once done looks gorgeous. Highly recommended the QD S95B
Hey I have the same TV and I read about Samsung adding phillips hue compatibility in a recent update, but don’t know how to get it to work. Any tips or articles you could share? Thanks 🙏
I switched from LG OLED to the S95B and it's worth it 100%. The difference is big and gorgeous! I was afraid of the lack of Dolby Vision and honestly with this tv you don't need it at all! BUY IT!
Firmware 1420.9 fixed lag in interface ... TV is perfect, cleanest, brightest panel I have ever had. Moved from LG C1. No need in Dolby Vision. It looks better , than dolby vision on LG C1. TV must be calibrated for natural colors.
In Germany Samsung currently offers insane promotions and bundles for this TV. By selling everything but the TV (like payTV / Netflix subscriptions, soundbars etc) you can get to an effective price below 200€, or even below 0€ depending on how good of a price you get for the sold stuff. Incredible value for that.
I am fully happy with my 55 inch LG C2, this Tv is the best all round tv at the moment, this Tv is so good at gaming it almost makes you forget the fact that this tv is equally great for content consumption as well, especially Dolby vision content, lack of Dolby vision in Samsung TV’ s are a bit turn off for me.
Seeing HDTVtests on how blown out and inaccurate the colors are really opened my eyes to why this tv is so popular. I've always looked at comparison videos and thought the colors were blown out but I guess thats why this TV is popular.

Most people keep these expensive oled's much longer than 2-3 years. Looks fantastic except for the Tizen os lag. That screen bend is a problem. Companies really need to focus on getting it all right from the beginning instead of cost cutting. Yup, wait for 2023 upgrades. Informative, thanks.
I was going to say I've had my TV for 10 years and I'm just now starting to shop around. Can't decide on the QN85B or spending the extra $1000 for the QN95B
Had mine a month now, it's WAY better than my LG C1 OLED. Had to move that to the bedroom due to it being unusable in my bright living room during the day, the Samsung is bright and vibrant even in a bright room with reflections, LG was imppossible to watch. In the dark, the Samsung still looks better. This is the TV to get at the moment unless you really want Dolby Vision then get the Sony but it'll cost you a lot more.
I'm about to pre order the 77 inch S95C BUT i had my heart set on a 85 inch tv Decisions Decisions 8 inches does make a difference but so does quality I currently own a lg cx 65inch
I'm unfortunately one of the few people who received my second S95B 65" with a slight bend as well, which is why I'm waiting for a third replacement soon. Otherwise the TV is phenomenal. Picture quality is incredible and it integrates well with all my other Samsung products. Sure, the colors look blown out at first but once you've calibrated it using your phone (yes, that is possible using a built in app) it looks pretty amazing.
Slight bend? Why do you care if it's very little? Pretty much ALL OLEDs that are thin at the top, have a slight bend. My 2 LG OLEDs have slight bends as well. It makes no difference unless it's very noticable.
Not to break your bubble but you ain't getting a bendless one, lol. I've seen 20+ of those in various stores and they're all bent. If someone says his isn't bent he's either visually-impaired or has a lucky 55".
@@bloodknight2012 Have a 65" right here that isn't bent. I have to admit it took a lot of care and 2 people with plenty of yelling and planning involved to place the thing whilst preventing bending. I have no doubt that there's no way personnel in a tv-shop wouldn't bend it. Biggest reason other than the fragility of the TV is that the manual is not correct: it specifies you have to grab the TV at the halfway point of the edge of the screen and place 1 hand at the bottom of the panel to lift&stabilise/pivot it. If you do this your panel WILL bend. At 65" it is too big and too thin not to bend due to it's own weight when grabbed at the edges. I used a thick matress held against the panel to lay it down and pivot it back up to place it. This way the forces were equally distributed across the panel as much as possible when pivoting it from vertical to horizontal and vice-versa to install the foot. To place the panel on the TV stand afterwards didn't require holding the panel anywhere other than on the bottom.
@@m.m.x.4244 Unfortunately, I didn't care enough to thoroughly observe my own 65" before we got it out of the box. I noticed the bend only a few days later when I was really looking for it. But to be fair, I don't think it's actually people bending it themselves during the unpackaging. We were 2 people and were extremely careful too. Also, the way we were handling it, if we were the ones that bent it, we would've bent it outwards while my two slight bends are inwards. I talked to a customer service guy in a retail shop a few weeks back and he told me that all their S95Bs were bending over time due to the heat, otherwise they didn't come to them as bad. I'm not sure if I really believe this as my own unit has been in use every day for more than a month and the bend hasn't developed further one bit. Although, theirs are pumping out full brigthness Dynamic mode full 24/7 in the Showroom mode so who knows.
Excellent gaming TV! I’ve had mine since launch and it’s running great! I have the paired with the new Samsung soundbar HW-Q990B which sounds fantastic.
QD-OLED, i like this honest review. also I had NO IDEA they had QC issues such as the bend and UI. I'm looking to get a QD-OLED TV soon and I've been peeping the S95B and Sony. i might go the Sony route at this rate? Honestly hope these TVs continue to get more affordable though.
QD-OLED, I actually love the S95B from the looks and all.. But the build quality.. Idk. The bending seems to be an overall issue since the TV got released, I want to upgrade next year, I guess i wait till mid/end of next year and see what we get! Can't wait for the Sony TV video!

Got this the other week the 55inch, my first oled screen, but I must say, I only really use it for gaming as its the bedroom screen, and I must say it's bloody amazing. After going in store going to get a budget screen ended up with this ££ later ahha
This is the best TV I've owned, but I would not recommend buying it due to the QC issues. Took 3 tries to get a working one. I also have found that for competitive gaming, I prefer using my LG C2 42". The price right now is amazing tho and if you are up to the risk you can probably snag one open box for under $1000
I bought the s95b qd oled 2 weeks ago. After one week the screen turned green, the tv switched on/off by itself. Now im waiting for a new tv, but don't know if i should accept it because im afraid that it will happen again. What do you think about it? Thank you
Surprised you left out multi-view should have mentioned it imo. Also personally I'd recommend standard picture setting for sports, I don't think filmmaker mode is perfect for all scenarios, just for netflix, prime and disney+ imo.
@@gamerss7797 no regrets. Picture is great. Value is unrivalled, and paired with a Sonos beam it’s everything I wanted in a main room TV. 55” has been absolutely fine as well which I thought might be a regret but at a £1000 price point I think it’s best all round choice.
Great video from an honest consumer point of view. I'm on the fence between this and the LG C2, mainly for gaming but also some movie watching. Is this a major leap over the C2 considering the lack of Dolby Vision, bent panel, etc?
I have the s95b in my living room and it's Great because of the colors. But I hate the UI, and honestly the motion does bother me at times, I have no idea how to describe it but it isn't as crisp as a LG ( I owned a LG c9). I Plan on getting the LG c2 in my room a 55inch as my main gaming display along side my monitor for productivity work. Honestly For gaming I prefer LG because of the motion and it's a a technology that has been refined by LG. You cannot go wrong with either but If I had to be 100% honest on my decision yes the colors of the s95b are amazing but unless you had them both side by side the LG c2 would be the winner for Gaming because of the Motion and epically for their UI and menus. The s95b for Brightness and colors. I went Crazy over these two deciding what to get. Do not go crazy like me. Get the C2 for gaming Or if you really wanna try it out, get the s95b from best buy as the returns are extended till January see if you like it, If not return it for the C2 as it is slightly cheaper and still one of the TOP Tv's on the market right now.
If you’re gaming and want an all rounder, go LG Oled. If you’re a movie/tv buff go with Sony Oled (no need for master series) A80 range is perfect. Best out of the box performance for content watching. All down to your personal requirements.
I want to upgrade from Sony X850E to Oled specially this Tv , but i checked on Ritngs chanel , that Qd-Oled has much risk to burn in more than Oled like LG, and the strange thing is S95b cheaper than LG C2 although that S95b picture quality better than the Oled.
Idc if a panel is bent people who are worried about that don't realize the flexibility of oled. You can bend this panel without the frame on in half and it will still work lol.
Nice video as always Chris. Congrats on the new house! I had my eye on this QD-OED and I almost got it from Samsung directly, but their finance system was down. It was on a very good deal and I was willing to sacrifice lack of Dolby Vision and use Tizen for it. I am very glad I missed out as lots of people on the thread reported bent panels and dead pixels within a short time of use. Last I heard, they were then struggling to get Samsung to fix / replace it as their customer support is not the best. In the end, I went for the 2021 LG QNED91 Mini-LED on a discounted price from Costco, so I have peace of mind if anything was ever to go wrong with it for at leat 5 years. Loving the TV and Web-OS and the magic remote. I thought I would miss Google TV, but we've not even used our fire stick since getting it except on one occasion. I know you are a big fan of OLED, but many of the affordable ones are unfortunately not bright enough for my bright living room. Hopefully by the time I need to upgrade (or my QNED91 goes wrong) I can upgrade to QD-OLED or OLED-EX which is supposed to be brighter as well. BTW - love the Christmas jumper! I have the same one as well! :-D Merry Christmas to you!
QD-OLED! Debating between this and the QN800B. What are your thoughts? I'm hoping you can do the x95 review quicker. One thing please keep in mind when you're comparing the two is the price and if the Sony is worth the premium.
returned a 8k qled for s95b. Some instances in 8k 4090 gaming the 8k looked better but for the most part the oled even at 4k was significantly nicer looking. 8k oled ftw but yeah.... no one should give that much to any tv manufacturer.
When it comes to built or quality i still go for LG when it comes to OLED, but picture quality of samsung still one of the best i just hope the bulit quality will improve the last built frame that really good is KS8000 way back 2016 i think.😅
Be very careful if you wipe the screen to remove finger prints etc. You can cause blue smudges (seen mostly at 45 degrees), in the moth eye filter. I wiped mine as per Samsung recommendations, and it left blue smudges.
My S95B malfunctioned on day 7. Massive green line right down the middle right of the screen. Luckily I was able to return it for a different tv. Best Buy guys said this was the most returned tv of the year due to QC issues.
exactly, i was tempted to buy the s95b but the idea of being an early adopter doesn't really excite me. The picture quality is better than the lg's oled but overall the c2 is better: is lighter, is better made, it support dolby vision, and last but not least, is less expensive. Furthermore lg c2 is the latest model of a very solid and quality series that never dissapoints.
What have you been smoking? C2 is not better LOL. S95B has better features, 144 Hz support, way better colors (QD-OLED has 2-3 t imes the color brightness), way better shadow detail, better viewing angles, better brightness. S95B will blow C2 away in both SDR and HDR. C2 is a fine TV but it's not high-end. More like a mid-end OLED. G2 is LGs high-end model and even that is losing to S95B and A95K. QD-OLED simply beats WOLED easily. S95B in game mode looks 3 times as bright as C2 with way better colors on top.
QD-OLED is very nice - gamut/color volume is great, but it uses blue OLED pixels which are most sensitive to burn out ... first rtings test detected this problem is worse than by usual LG OLED panels :-(
Nice video, i was thinking to buy s95b but i already have CX & Qn90a which i choose over s95b, can you do comparison G2 or C1 and S95b? thanks more power to your channel.
Qd oled😘 tizen os sucks. The bend issue is pretty wide. Samsung has no plans to support dv. Not biggest deal breaker, but to me it's just too small and the pixel structure does something around txt. The Sony has a better vid processor and os but no game optimizer. It's also built way better and uses a heatsink. It's big downside is the higher price, lack of game features, and only 2 hdmi 2.1 full ports. Thought hard about it but lg g2 or c2 are the better choice this year if you need 1 now. I'm waiting and didn't see a significant reason to upgrade my gaming TV this year. Looking forward to your take on the Sony A95k bud!
I have a request. Would you mind referencing and comparing black crush on future OLED reviews? No one talks about improvements with this issue on OLED panels.
It’s great value for money, but I really don’t like the build quality of this TV it feels flimsy and cheap, but compared to the Sony A95K it’s a bargain and has better features for gaming, although I think that the Sony has the better picture and build quality overall.
QD-OLED is great, Samsung TVs not so much... their continued lack of support the now industry-standard Dolby Vision is disappointing plus in my experience their TVs usually have glaring software bugs such as settings that cannot be disabled and colours that are intentionally set to be unnaturally vibrant over accurate. I am happy to wait for a cheaper QD-OLED TV from the likes of LG and Panasonic before upgrading from my still-good-enough-for me LG B9, which I have owned since August 2019. Oh, yes, and I forgot quality control issues - my parents had a Samsung TV on which the LEDs burned out within 18 months - but, yes, I can see that bend in the middle of your review TV. I have seen this issue mentioned in other reviews as well so you are not the only one. Tyzen is also a bit lacklustre in my experience too, having had to endure using on it my parents' TV. And what about that cheap tacky plasticky remote if you don't want to use voice-control? That Sony QD-OLED TV will undoubtedly be a superior TV to the Samsung, just on features (Dolby Vision support!) and quality control alone. Sony rarely disappoint but you usually have to pay extra for their TVs compared with the competiton and, until, recently they were very slow to adopt VRR support on their TVs for console gaming. They also still only ship with two HDMI 2.1 ports unlike LG. Not sure if that is the case for that new TV but I would not be surprised if it was.
Dolby vision doesn't make a difference compared to HDR10+ like there are multiple videos doing comparisons to it and it soo far from what I've seen it doesn't need it
After watching the Finale of Game of thrones brightness mess, i say screw what the creator intended the picture to look like and let the TV decide what looks best
The panel needed replacing after 3 months with the dreaded thin blue line. It's the most glitchy TV I have ever owned. Great picture, but never again! I need ALL of the TV to work, not just the screen. ☹️
it's OLed of Samsung I had a chance to see the new OLed of Samsung and I liked it but then Best Buy good honest sales man showed the issue of the new Samsung OLed, it's screen panel was bending on left side by it's self after placing on the TV table or TV console because the panel was so thin and not strong doesn't have back support. He said it was placed in for the past 6 months. But Sony does not have that issue.
@SpawnPoiintOfficialsThank you for a reply, Can you recommend Sony X90K 75 " for paying or $2200 Canadian or. paying X95K For $4000 or X95J ($3000) to mostly Watch live stream , HD movies, RUclips, some sports , game is not important 🤔
Dolby Vision isn't supported on any Samsung TV that I know of because they think being the number one TV manufacturer makes them too good to pay to implement it, even though they clearly have the money and resources to do so.
Weird you have Netflix crashing. I've had it for about 3 weeks now with a ton of use and only had 1 app lockup which was disney+ and restarting the TV via holding the power button down for 5+ seconds fixed it. Netflix has been flawless. Maybe you're on a different update than mine. Also mine is completely flat but it's a common issue. I feel like it's from people holding the top corners of the TV when they set it up instead of doing it the way it says to do it in the quick setup literature that comes in the box.
The guy at the store explained to me that the bending occurs when a single person tries to move the tv and picks it up from the both ends of the panel. He highly recommended that this should be done by two people because of its extreme fragility.
All right after more than a week of just standing the curve on the panel is definitely there and I’m pretty sure it wasn’t when I installed it. 65 inch tv.
I’m stuck between this tv and the Samsung QN90B, yes the black levels on the OLED is amazing but the Tv is not bright enough for my liking…but if I get the QN90b I’m hoping the image doesn’t look too washed out with blooming around objects…

Yes its worth it, get that yesterday for 40%off..
This tv is soo good
I've had the SONY A9K for a week now.
Thanks 🙏
Sub par LG c2????

Truly enjoying mine! Thanks for this review.
Thanks for watching too
I switched from LG OLED to the S95B and it's worth it 100%.

Feel free to send us your calculation here, how you came up with this price
I am fully happy with my 55 inch LG C2, this Tv is the best all round tv at the moment, this Tv is so good at gaming it almost makes you forget the fact that this tv is equally great for content consumption as well, especially Dolby vision content, lack of Dolby vision in Samsung TV’ s are a bit turn off for me.
Incredible tv. The bend is user error when picking it up. You don't need dolby vision as the tv is so bright and pops anyway
I totally agree, the PQ has blown me away
QDOLED. Can't wait for the A95K review
Hopefully this weekend 💪
Seeing HDTVtests on how blown out and inaccurate the colors are really opened my eyes to why this tv is so popular. I've always looked at comparison videos and thought the colors were blown out but I guess thats why this TV is popular.
The blown out colors makes the tv look vibrant which makes people think it is great. Only video experts will have issues with that.
Blown out is the wrong word choice. They're just more Vibrant there's really nothing wrong with it you can dial down the color if you want.
@@NexGenTek Yup theres nothing wrong with it except if you're a 3D Artist,Photographer,Filmmaker it is a humongous deal. Especially when Samsung claim its accurate color.

QD-OLED -wise, the A95K was hailed by many as this year's best TV. The next video will be interesting!
You forgot to mention that waiting for the 2023 models means you also pay about 1000 euro/dollar more compared to the S95B
Thanks for watching, I appreciate the comment too.

I was close to going for this on black Friday but in the end went for the c2. I don't think anyone would be disappointed with either.

It would be great if you also show us some clips in a dark room with no lights on. Would love to see how TVs look then.
Ok, thanks for the feedback. Will include that in the comparison videos.
I love you SpawnPoint happy holidays! W
That's why I'm fully thinking about getting me a LG oled and I perfer that tv over a Samsung oled since it does got doby vision
Dolby vision license is $2,500 per year
Nice dude, i'll be giving this one a try soon

Liar
exactly, i was tempted to buy the s95b but the idea of being an early adopter doesn't really excite me. The picture quality is better than the lg's oled but overall the c2 is better: is lighter, is better made, it support dolby vision, and last but not least, is less expensive. Furthermore lg c2 is the latest model of a very solid and quality series that never dissapoints.
And I can barely game on a 48 inch C2. 55 minimum isnt feasible to me. I actually wish I went 42
Same here, same reasons… So i have c2 at home now 😊
What have you been smoking? C2 is not better LOL. S95B has better features, 144 Hz support, way better colors (QD-OLED has 2-3 t imes the color brightness), way better shadow detail, better viewing angles, better brightness. S95B will blow C2 away in both SDR and HDR. C2 is a fine TV but it's not high-end. More like a mid-end OLED. G2 is LGs high-end model and even that is losing to S95B and A95K. QD-OLED simply beats WOLED easily. S95B in game mode looks 3 times as bright as C2 with way better colors on top.
Farts: 😂 and you forget mention 2-3 times better and smoother Tizen, every new firmware is 2-3 times better as well etc. 😂😂😂
@@NeoPlexCZ tizen is bullshit, slow and confused, i prefer the mistreated webos

I was going to buy one, I might wait until you review the Sony. What surround system have you got there? Thanks John
My tv freezes and I have to disconnect it and the remote sucks.
It's a fair request, I will include in my A95K full review!

Dolby vision doesn't make a difference compared to HDR10+ like there are multiple videos doing comparisons to it and it soo far from what I've seen it doesn't need it
DV is so overated. Many times HDR10 beats DV. It depends on the scene and content.
After watching the Finale of Game of thrones brightness mess, i say screw what the creator intended the picture to look like and let the TV decide what looks best

it's OLed of Samsung I had a chance to see the new OLed of Samsung and I liked it but then Best Buy good honest sales man showed the issue of the new Samsung OLed, it's screen panel was bending on left side by it's self after placing on the TV table or TV console because the panel was so thin and not strong doesn't have back support. He said it was placed in for the past 6 months. But Sony does not have that issue.

Always go hdmi 2.1 if you can
Dolby Vision isn't supported on any Samsung TV that I know of because they think being the number one TV manufacturer makes them too good to pay to implement it, even though they clearly have the money and resources to do so.
Who can lift a 65” TV on their own? I can’t 😂
