Hi David, I did not realize my old camera had so many options-functions on it for the time it was made. I'm glad I decided not to get the new Canon R6 mark ii until I get the hang of the old camera again. It was nice that you spent the time and effort on making the 3 videos. What I continue to hear and see today is video after video everyone assumes you shoot in RAW and you know everything, spend hours on Post Work Production on each photo with expensive complicated computer programs (including yourself throughout the videos series) to make your photos look fake. My late wife had all the professional cameras, lenses and the newest computer programs and to me that is not what shooting photos means to me, I can spot a photo a mile away that is doctored.
My live view button does nothing. I have always used the view finder, but I need to be able to switch to the LCD screen view. Can you advise? Also, my Rebel T1i menu only has 5 tabs (1 red, 2 blue, 2 yellow). Can you tell me why my menu is different from the one you're showing? Thanks in advance!
I believe that there's a section in this video that shows how to assign that (IIRC -- I'm in the process of releasing about 10 nearly-identical Canon camera video series and some of the fine details in them bleed together.) If setting the LV button to LV doesn't work, the button may have failed.
hey david! congrats for the video, it helped me a lot :) i have a question, my main dial is not working (the one next to the click button), is there a way for me to change the settings for aperture and shutter speed in a another way? like without having to use the dial thank you!
I forget for sure on this camera. There are two possibilities: 1- Check to see if there is an advanced mode option on your tabs 2- See if the tabs change when you change the mode dial Those are the two things that I recall adjusting how Canon DSLRs display menus.
@@Rakhali6767 check your camera settings that there's no simple or advanced mode option and also set your mode dial to M if it's not already. I recall there being a simple menu and a complex one but I can't recall exactly which of those options above will access the full menu.
Good evening, is it possible to use an Android cell phone as an external monitor via cable? I use this canon for videos of wild animals and it would make it much easier to use it this way. If possible, could you help me carry out the procedure? Grateful
@@gunnervanpelt1279 what size card do you have? The second video covers SD cards in detail but IIRC there's a maximum size and the camera can't recognize anything larger.

Thank you and I think it can be done with the right software, but I've never tried and don't know how.

For the menu, verify that you have the final firmware. Firmware updates can expand the menu options.

Hmm. I don't recall there being another way to adjust the aperture and shutter speed, no.

Why does my t1i not have the same setting in menu ? I don’t have as many as you…
