You are the best. I bought one three weeks ago and I’m just now watching your amazing tutorial. Being an animal and nature enthusiast, the journey continues.
Thank you David, great video as was number 0ne. I bought the 500D new when it first came out, just took it out of storage after 12 years. Unfortunately my memory is not as good as it once was and your videos are a life saver. Looking forward to video # 3 then getting out and practicing. Before investing in a new Canon Mirrorless figured I would practice and feel comfortable again before investing in a new modern day camera, thank you again for taking the time out for the three videos.
Well... I saw that it is possible to control the menu of this camera via cable using Android on the cell phone... is it possible to trigger video recordings using this feature??? Grateful
When shooting raw, it can. I would avoid the 18-50mm kit zoom and, if you can, get the 24mm f/2.8 EF-S lens. And as noted, shoot raw. The jpeg algos in this camera are about 12 years old and shooting raw will give you better results when you edit.
